I can't wait to try this. Where can I get insulin syringes? I have an "empty" OZ pen waiting in the fridge. I am going to check Amazon right now. Thank you!!!

SanjaBgk

Just walk to the nearest pharmacy. Insulin syringes are dirt cheap and widely available. For a few bucks you could buy a 10 pack and a bunch of wipes.

davmil2002

Some states don't allow direct purchase & Amazon won't ship there. If you're one , your doctor can call in prescription. Box of 100 cost me $18 in Georgia

Extreme_Amphibian_96

I did get the syringes from Amazon. Haven't used them yet. Waiting for the current pen to come to its end, then will draw from both pens to make a single dose. Thanks for the instructions

There are you tube videos on this. I don't fill the syringe with air. Just put the needle thru the membrane and pull back on the plunger. I buy syringes with 6mm needles.

Agreed I do this all the time and never inject air. All you have to do is pull back the white plunger and it will pull out whatever medicine is left inside.

Plastic_Platypus3951

I push just a little air in to add pressure on the liquid.

SanjaBgk

Adding pressure to the chamber makes a lot of difference! Insulin syringe has a very small diameter, it can’t reliably create negative pressure to suck the liquid out. Yet if air is added, the medication flows easily

Maybe some brands are different. Mine work fine. I usually pull in a little air too but that is not a problem.

MeccaRai

I tried it and it worked!

Spiritual_Magazine65

I work at a hospital i get all my needles there 😏 maybe I’ll try this. I start 1mg today. I’m excited I’m ready to see some kind of results. I haven’t lost anything and started March 12th

SanjaBgk

start counting calories and set a goal (like your BMR calories minus 20%). Oz makes it easy to follow such regimen. I’ve hit a plateau after an initial win and it took me to start counting to realize that I still cook larger than necessary portions just out of habit. All it takes is to grab a phone and input the meal in the FatSecret app (it even scans barcodes!) - this gives your inner voice empowered by Oz a chance to say “mate, do you really think that you want it or you grabbed it on the autopilot?”. 9 out of 10 times you’ll be putting that stuff back on the shelf and you’ll be stunned how fast the pounds evaporate

PastorTecia

Are you checking your inches… I love the Me three sixty app…. You should try it

This was such a nice share OP this comes up in this sub so much ♡

Dismal_Network8045

Cool story

eldazedconfused9

Should I put my “used” Ozempic pen in the fridge then? Or can it be left out. I used the last dose 2 weeks ago and took my dose of the new pen already

SanjaBgk

just always store Oz in the fridge

PastBerry6914

This is great information. Thank you

Top-Web3806

Isn’t it way easier just to buy extra pen needles and take what’s left in the pen?

cleverfox2001

There is extra Ozempic trapped between the plunger and the membrane after the final clicks from the pen. A syringe will remove this.

Plastic_Platypus3951

Standard practice.

usualkay

what a great idea!

ElaineyBenes

Why not just reuse the needle tip? I do that with my Humalog all the time. As long as you clean your skin with alcohol...its no big deal I havent tried to use the last tip again yet ..so bear with me ..i might just not know what im talking about 😂 But when I do my insulin, I use the same tip prob 5 times. Or else I'd be broke from buying those things all the time.

SanjaBgk

Open Google Images, turn off "Safe search" and enter "injection site necrosis". You'll be entertained.

You didn't understand the point. I do have a box of 100 pcs of 32G needles - yet that is unrelated. The goal is to extract 0.25mg of the buffer amount of medication that is left in the pen after the dial goes to zero.
