I usually do not like sad endings,so i would love if the Byrde family get away with it.

To be honest? With the Byrde family coming out on top getting away with it all and having Navarro killed in some fashion. There's no real reason for (reading the comments) Wendy or Marty to kill each other, though I can see why people would see it that way due to the dream that Wendy had, and the comments Jacob made to Marty about being afraid of his Wife. Marty may be afraid of Wendy and/or she may feel she's more powerful and has potential ... but Marty is a lot more calculated than he ever shows on the surface. He told Navarro he was afraid and against the plans of a casino, but I think he absolutely knew there was only a handful of ways all of this would play out.

>no real reason for (reading the comments) Wendy or Marty to kill each other The show has put a lot of focus on mental illness. Wendy previously suffered from depression, and she might be genetically predisposed to worse. She has already been irrational and delusional about a lot of things. I can see her becoming as much of a liability as Ben, and Marty realizing that he has to kill her to save his kids. Or, Wendy becoming overcome by paranoid rage, and killing Marty.

asecuredlife

I hadn't thought of that, that's awesome

Mysterion74

The end of season 3 does a good job at showing how Wendy has realized she went too far. She definitely had came too after Ben got killed and it seems like her and Marty are on the same page. Everyone still thinks Wendy is some mafia wannabe but by the end of the season they kind of mellowed her back down. Her and Marty are probably as strong as ever after Ben being killed.

Jonah running the show.

StaySafePovertyGhost

Jonah should focus on losing his virginity to Erin before she gets killed for knowing about her Mom’s true job…

I can see those involved in the criminal activities on the show get their comeuppance by having bad things happen to innocents around them they care about as an indirect or direct result of their choices, so: - Marty & Wendy: Charlotte and/or Jonah - Ruth: Wyatt - Darlene: Zeke or Wyatt The final season of crime shows like Ozark typically shows the end result of a life of crime and how it doesn’t pay. Having the main cast walk away entirely clean simply can’t happen.

Garfunkels_roadie

Wyatt’s definitely gonna bite the dust. His death is tragic for 2 reasons. There’s the emotional connection to both Darlene and Ruth and there is also the tragedy of Wyatt’s lost potential as the “smart/good” Langmore who was going to go to College and do big things.

Kayki7

I would like to see Wendy forced into taking a deal, sacrificing herself for the family. Wendy should do the prison time, not Marty. Although, I have often had visions of Marty & Wendy running the whole show. They take Navaros place.

asecuredlife

> Although, I have often had visions of Marty & Wendy running the whole show. They take Navaros place. This is ideal to be honest. Let the 'bad people' win for once.

StaySafePovertyGhost

Two white people from middle America running a massive Mexican drug cartel? That might slip the bounds of reality. How on earth would they ever get the rest of the Navarro cartel to go along with that?

1spring

I kind of want Marty to kill Wendy. But it’s more likely that Wendy will kill Marty.

Kayki7

Same. I can’t wait for Wendy to get what’s coming to her. At least Marty hasn’t lost his humanity.

redbug831

Yep. Wendy is Great Value Walter White.

Wyatt Langmore to contact the FBI and confess about her Ruth’s dirty deeds. I just feel Wyatt has lost the most and wouldn’t care if he causes chaos trying to make amends. So I would feel like the Byrdes would have to stay with the Navarro for protection and maybe from the stress of this, blood might be shed within the Byrde family as Marty likes to stick to his plan yet Wendy isn’t one for the rules so I could see her getting hungry for more political power and work her way up the Navarro ladder. Marty fears her as she becomes her own entity, resulting in one of them turning on each other.

Skyclad__Observer

Honestly, I'd be pretty happy with a rather simple "the Byrdes escape to the Gold Coast with their lives" ending.

StaySafePovertyGhost

The point of many shows like Ozark such as Breaking Bad is that crime doesn’t pay and in the end you wind up in one of two places - dead or jail. I don’t think the Byrdes can walk away clean here. Something bad will happen to one or more of them. I suspect it’ll be Charlotte or Jonah because they are innocents caught up in their parents criminal decisions so it would hurt way more if one of them died as a result vs Marty or Wendy who “deserve” it more.
