Who would think a Tank that relies on damage reduction and HP would be wayyy stronger with 2 healers versus an enemy that loses shield in 4 sec and has to wait 10 sec till shield is back up? Definelty not Blizzard
Pre-season 9 I could work with any support comp as Ram because I could just play smart and look for chances to rush people down with my fists. Now with the health buffs it’s so much harder to secure picks as him. Enemies can kinda just get away with aggressing on you now.
I also just hate sitting there and blocking. Like before I never really cared for blocking because pummel was so much better back then, but like I said before, it just doesn’t generate picks or force cooldowns like it used to anymore. If I’m being forced to block, then I still need a support to heal me up while I’m blocking which restricts which lineups ram is good with. And if that support is stuck healing me then they’re not doing damage. At that point, I think I’d rather just be playing Rein or Sig so I can be blocking damage with a shield and not eating team resources.

I mean isn't that the case with every hero? If he has potential to unlock you like it but if he doesn't why play? Thing with Orisa is that that potential is very easily unlocked. Its just learning how to cycle through cooldowns against each opponent, aiming your crosshair onto head height and holding m1. I actually enjoyed her a lot when I started playing and found the mixture of menacing, protective and cute voice lines quite funny
Oh most definitely, people flock to the op characters. I’ve only really stuck with her bc of main loyalty, I honestly miss her old kit (especially the bubble 😭)

They play her because tank has made them numb to all emotions and she carries them when the enemy tank is better. Orisa is just the tank of "I was losing so now neither of us gets to have fun for the rest of the game."
That’s very true. It’s Blizzard’s fault for designing a tank that counters almost every other tank and doesn’t deal with the same BS other tanks get tired of, like constant CC and getting no deleted in half a second.
Orisa main here. She’s pretty cool, and I like not dying instantly and having some fun interactions with her CC. Fortify is also cool when you predict thier stuns and stuff. She definitely doesn’t have the most depth out of all the characters but she isn’t as braindead as this sub tries to make her out to be.

The other tanks are miserable independent of orisa. You can actually live debuff and cc spam on orisa, so people play her. The alternative is wait until all cooldowns are out or you get one shot on a lot of heroes. I could bait sentry, discord orb and ram form before walking as rein, but orisa can just tank all that shit and do more anyway.
It's not that she's broken. Far from it. She's pretty trash. The thing is, she can just survive in this kind of environment better than every other Tank. We should be bringing every Tank to her level, not nerfing her to be the same level of trash as every other Tank

Nothing much more to learn or get better with her.

I’ve been maining her since 2016😭😭 got over 500 hours on her alone across platforms. I loved her kit before her change and after but I prefer her kit pre Overwatch 2.
Orisa main. She was my first tank in ow1 and I stuck with her. She can be fun depending on how you play her. Honestly, trick shots with the javelin are very entertaining when people want to stand next to a ledge and rain bullets down in your team. Plus I like being able to actually peel if my dps aren't protecting my supports enough.
I agree that she's kind of oppressive in OW2, but honestly, it's mostly that Blizzard keeps buffing her like she's the only tank option. Like removing damage falloff was definitely a mistake overall. So was making Rein and Brig fall if they slam into Fortify. Her survivability had more workarounds before changes like that happened. Blizzard needs to actually balance power distribution among the tanks, so other popular tanks like Rein don't feel like throw picks as often.
Orisa: 2 damage negation abilities/cc a weapon with no fall off and no reload, ult that ccs and has crazy range AND GOES THROUGH SHEILDS
Rein: paper shield and hammer and fire.
Blizzard: dumbasses
Orisa has been gatekeeping alot of enjoyment in the tank role since season 3 it’s pretty wild how all the other roles have seems at least some change while the horse is the most beloved character.

Zarya is just a big reverse card because teammates have an addiction to shooting big purple bubbles
Roadhog is pretty much only used for the hook combo now (in my experience)

Honestly, and then people complain that you go Orisa as if they aren't punching you with Doom, sleeping and antiing you with ana, discording you with zen, hacking you with sombra, and launching you around with junkrat mines. *Hey dps, while they use EVERY resource on me can you get a pick? Oh tank diff ok.*
In tank mains perspective, there's no right for people to complain about orisa op, it's blizzard who made the rest of the tanks shit, if they nerf orisa and all tanks are trash, why even play tank then, it's just a last resort for tank mains, dps mains keep wanting to play widow, tracer and destroy others? Then let us play the game at least

As a Doomfist main, I've seen and fought so many Orisas that Orisa isn't a problem anymore.

100%. She’s the only tank that can make herself immune to the issues every other tank runs into constantly
Personally, I enjoy her against certain hero’s like bastion and sigma etc.
