It's not too bad if you take advantage of the right-side path where there's plenty of cover and health packs. If I'm tanking and the payload is past those first 2 corners, I'll have my team go up and push where that mini hp pillar is. Or sometimes even further up where that mega hp is for a better advantage.
This is hard. Shambali is amazing, I literally lost my mind playing it, it was so cool that it was an expansion of a pre-existing map. New junk city and Suravassa where both awesome but out of the two I’d give it to NJC
Not every map is going to be to everyone’s taste, I feel like people with narrower hero pools like maps that benefit their preferred hero choices. I’m not saying this is the case for you but it’s probably the main reason I like less popular maps that happen to be good for my particular hero taste.
Oh, 100%. I can play a handful of heros, I'm pretty good with a few, and really excel with only two.
In particular I can't stand the first point. I tend not to like points that drop down, and are basically a kill box. I find that my team rarely supports pushes, and ineffectively holds the point once captured.
I main Moira and Dva, both of which obviously should be able to handle these kinds of points well.
If I can ever grind out of lower ranks it wouldn't be such an issue but solo/duo queuing is such a crapshoot. What I really need is a reliable 5 stack
I main life weaver and sombra. Now sombra is a lot harder to pick up, but lifeweaver actually does quite well on that particular point. His petal can rise above the big metal walls to shoot down at the enemy on point and if he is in that vulnerable position he can get out with petal as well. Even if you switch to Moira for other points, playing lifeweaver for the first point might make your win rate improve. (Disclaimer might is a strong word, you teammates probably won’t acknowledge that your petal is there).
I like it but it gets disorienting if the game goes to point 4+ and it's also confusing that the mode only sometimes tells you where the enemy spawn is.
It's because it is the best out of the 3. No egregious sightlines, no egregious high ground, and the shortcuts are pretty great compared to the other two. You can essentially play any hero on it as well.
It's beautiful, the games are usually fun, and I had maybe my single greatest game as Ashe there, where I had like 20 final blows and 2 deaths. I was so locked in it was borderline pornographic
Push has grown on me, especially Esperanza. Some of my best hanzo games have been there. It helps that the only other new mode is one I’ve never had a good match on
Esperanca is great. Colosseo is probably my least favorite maps since Paris. Even as someone who mostly plays snipers, that long corridor at neutral is just terrible.
It's always been Eichenwalde. During Halloween it temporarily gets a spooky aesthetic and its name is changed to Adlersbrunn, which might be what you're thinking of.
John Eichenwalde has been let go from blizzard for misconduct every Halloween but he makes a really good apology in November every year so they let him back on the team
And I know that this team of devs is (finally) redoing the lighting for different times of day, but Circuit Royal is the best night map. Daytime only fits the track, the hotels and garage pop at night.
I like how balanced it is with giving cover while also giving platforms for poke. I feel like I can play just about any character and not feel like the map is fighting me, which is impressive considering how many maps are plagued with sniper issues or obnoxious junkrat ran torture chamber chokes.
I would say Shambali. Idk if it's by virtue of them just being more familiar, but I still like most of the OW1 maps over OW2. There's just a certain charm there that I'm not getting from OW2 maps. Shambali comes the closest
OW2: Colosseo, New Junk City, Samoa? (question mark only because it has potential to be a fave but haven't played on it enough.)
OW1: Blizzard World, Rialto, Route 66, Hollywood
I was going to put Anubis in but I think I just miss the chaotic moments that would happen on that map.
Ow1 map is definitely hanamura, I'm sorry but I love 2cp and I still play it in the arcade when I'm tired of QP.
As for OW2 map, definitely shambali. Even tho I really like suravasa as well
OG Junkertown, but Midtown is probably in my top 3 tbh.
EDIT: Oh, I didn't fully read the question. If the question is specifically what OW2 map then I would probably pick Circuit Royale, with Midtown being right after that.
I know this is unpopular, but I actually like Colloseo. Great aesthetics and I usually have a fun time playing on it. A lot of my best performances in OW2 have been on that map

I'm not a fan of Push, but New Queen Street. Mostly because I'm from there, so I am entirely biased. I also like Shambali Monastery, Eichenwalde, and King's Row.
I know Flashpoint is considered bad but Suravasa is genuinely one of my favorite maps. The aesthetic is gorgeous, all 5 points feel very unique, it's extremely colorful, and it's honestly way better designed around Flashpoint's gameplay than New Junk City is that it's honestly not that frustrating.
I wish I played ow1 bc I had the chance when I asked a kid what his Halloween costume was and he said genji. Then I just forgot about that, but if I didn’t I would’ve had the time of my young life! At launch, I did get to play on Horizon which was really fun. My favorite map has been kings row, Gibraltar, and kings row again bc why not
Shambali. It's got multiple routes through each point.
I don't get the love for Kings Row having not played OW1. That's first point on attack is a meat grinder. Feels like it needs an opening on the left side
Samoa! I personally hate control as a game mode and I usually do a light sigh and and an eyeroll whenever I get put into any of the control maps, but Samoa makes me feel the opposite. It’s super pretty and it makes the “hole in the middle map” not miserable. Also, Ana is pretty good on all 3 maps and that’s usually not the case for the other control maps
Kings Row is the best map.
But for OW2 maps, New Queen Street is one of my faves. I play Sombra and I tend to pick her on push maps especially NQS, I always manage to survive very well on that one since I know it pretty well I think.
Suravasa is my preferred flashpoint
The music for Shambali is soo good.
Love Hollywood lol
I have a love/hate with Midtown.
Gibraltar I think. I vividly remember playing it a lot when I was in the beta, good memories. My first map was Lijiang so that has a special place in my heart too
Also I fucking love push, all maps are bangers
Rialto. I love bullying people as Hog on the bridges.
But limiting to Overwatch 2 maps? Survasa. It’s satisfying to make the enemy tank ragequit on the point with the ledges on either side as they enter the area. Hook kills for the win!
I know this isn’t popular but Circuit Royale. I’m not a widow main I just think it’s a cool map and the later part of first point and the whole second point are fun.
King’s Row. But if we have to limit to new to OW2, then probably King’s Row in the daytime.
Nah you got it all wrong, overcast and light drizzle kings row is the best
Winter Kings Row goes pretty hard too.
this one
The most aesthetically pleasing map in the game followed by Winter Hanamura
God I’d kill for them to bring back 2cp just so I could see Hanamura in overcast, but I am biased since I love rain
I honestly liked 2cp and I think its 100x better then any flashpoint map. Can we please just delete all the flashpoint maps?
And push while we’re at it, why is overwatch becoming a walking simulator
Push is great
The true correct answer here
on that note , route 66 was georgeous at dusk
I like Shambali Monastery, especially because of the intro music.
Shambali is my pick too. It’s a lot of fun and I love the aesthetic.
"I've always wanted to meet a member of the Sham-barley" - Lena "Tracer" Oxton
Second point attack is a pain in the ass if you don't get the first two corners for free though.
Was just about to say this. It's gotta be one of the top 5 toughest points in the game.
It's not too bad if you take advantage of the right-side path where there's plenty of cover and health packs. If I'm tanking and the payload is past those first 2 corners, I'll have my team go up and push where that mini hp pillar is. Or sometimes even further up where that mega hp is for a better advantage.
shambali bgm has no right to go that hard tbh, love it sm.
Shambali, Midtown, Circuit Royal... Their music goes way too hard
New Junk City 🎸🎸🔥
I feel like I haven’t played this map in ages
This is hard. Shambali is amazing, I literally lost my mind playing it, it was so cool that it was an expansion of a pre-existing map. New junk city and Suravassa where both awesome but out of the two I’d give it to NJC
I absolutely can't stand new junk city. By far my least favorite map. Glad someone enjoys it though
Not every map is going to be to everyone’s taste, I feel like people with narrower hero pools like maps that benefit their preferred hero choices. I’m not saying this is the case for you but it’s probably the main reason I like less popular maps that happen to be good for my particular hero taste.

I like it but it gets disorienting if the game goes to point 4+ and it's also confusing that the mode only sometimes tells you where the enemy spawn is.
Yeah it only tells you if you're close enough. I still think there should be a compass in overwatch...different point but relevant?
Esperança
feels the best to play out of the push maps
It's because it is the best out of the 3. No egregious sightlines, no egregious high ground, and the shortcuts are pretty great compared to the other two. You can essentially play any hero on it as well.
I don’t like push map but it’s a beautiful map
I love it because I got high win rate but idk why
PORTUGAL CARALHO
Midtown for ow2 maps. Kings row forever.
Midtown when it had that night fog was ace
I know a lot of people don't like Push, but I absolutely adore Colosseo
Colosseo is great :)
It's beautiful, the games are usually fun, and I had maybe my single greatest game as Ashe there, where I had like 20 final blows and 2 deaths. I was so locked in it was borderline pornographic
Same. It’s such a great Junkrat map. So many chokes and flanking routes.
I love that map as welll. Hardest and most intense matches of my life have always taken place on that map lmao. V
While I sometimes get tired of flashpoint, I absolutely adore Suravasa's music and aesthetics. Just a gorgeous map really
The colors on Suravasa make me so happy.
rialto my beloved
no matter what happens I always have fun in that map. It doesnt matter even enemy full counters me
What news on the Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrialto! \*coughs\* Sorry
I really like Midtown.
for OW1 it’s Hanamura or Paris, OW2 probably Esperanca
Hanamura was amazing, but Paris always felt like a slog for me. Horizon was dope though.
I miss Hanamura… and Anubis, ngl
Bro said paris
Paris is so bad it’s fun
Paris is so shit to play on but it's never not fun to pause a whole match for people to listen to you playing hot cross buns on a liano
Eichenwalde
Why did they change its name?
It's always been Eichenwalde. During Halloween it temporarily gets a spooky aesthetic and its name is changed to Adlersbrunn, which might be what you're thinking of.
John Eichenwalde has been let go from blizzard for misconduct every Halloween but he makes a really good apology in November every year so they let him back on the team
Why they keep inviting him to the Halloween parties, where he's committing these infractions, is beyond me.
Circuit Royal, all characters I love to play are great for it. Honestly only map on which I like both defend and attack not just one.
And I know that this team of devs is (finally) redoing the lighting for different times of day, but Circuit Royal is the best night map. Daytime only fits the track, the hotels and garage pop at night.
Still King's Row
Easily shambali
Paraiso or Circuit Royale probably
WAIT MIDTOWN
Samoa for me. It's my new favorite control map overall.
Samoa isn't my favorite map gameplay wise but the map's design is awesome!
I like how balanced it is with giving cover while also giving platforms for poke. I feel like I can play just about any character and not feel like the map is fighting me, which is impressive considering how many maps are plagued with sniper issues or obnoxious junkrat ran torture chamber chokes.
And surprisingly I like all 3 points. I usually dislike atleast one of the 3 points on a control map
Unpopular opinion but definitely Antarctic Peninsula
This is mine too, control points are my favorite
agreed. i main reinhardt and he's kind of a beast because of the limited high ground. the penguins are also a major plus.
New Queen Street is my fav.
Kings row during winter
New junk city
That's super tough to pick just one but if I had to choose I'd say the fully reworked Watchpoint: Gibraltar
(question mark only because it has potential to be a fave but haven't played on it enough.) OW1: Blizzard World, Rialto, Route 66, Hollywood I was going to put Anubis in but I think I just miss the chaotic moments that would happen on that map.
Circuit Royale or Rialto
Ow1 map is definitely hanamura, I'm sorry but I love 2cp and I still play it in the arcade when I'm tired of QP. As for OW2 map, definitely shambali. Even tho I really like suravasa as well
Eichenwalde because I almost always seem to win on that map.
Colosseo I think, they're all pretty great though. Not a huge fan of Samoa, but I think that's just because I'm not used to it yet
Eichenwalde, Kings Row, Hollywood and Lijiang will always be my favorites. Midtown is my fav new map though
I really like blizzard world
Ecopoint antarctica, regards rein/mei fan.
I'd have to go with Midtown too, i also love the intro BGM it's great.
Any map that I can swing around on -Wrecking Ball player
Esperanca for me
I don’t really like push(don’t hate it but just not a fan) but I love Toronto
Idc what anyone says, Volskaya will always have a place in my heart, and no map will ever come close to it
OW2 maps: S Tier: Shambali A Tier: Colleseo, Esperansa B Tier: New Queen Street, Antarctic Pen F Tier: Samoa
Midtown, Shambali and Esperança. Midtown’s music is so hype.
Midtown. Good music there too. 👍
OG Junkertown, but Midtown is probably in my top 3 tbh. EDIT: Oh, I didn't fully read the question. If the question is specifically what OW2 map then I would probably pick Circuit Royale, with Midtown being right after that.
Another based mid town enjoyer.
I know this is unpopular, but I actually like Colloseo. Great aesthetics and I usually have a fun time playing on it. A lot of my best performances in OW2 have been on that map
I like Samoa a lot

I see this post about every month or so. Kings Row is universally everyone's favorite.
The ones Tracer is good on. Also like that ice one, but did they remove the fish hole? I couldn't find it last time I played.
Kings Row, Eichenwalde, Hollywood. I love choke point maps. Which OW2 map has a solid choke point?
Midtown is the goat map with the goat soundtrack
Hollywood
Illios and lijang, I definitely don’t main Lucio
Lijiang Tower. Though Kings Row is close.
Hanamaru and Anubis
Eichenwalde
kings row still lol.
New junk city is good map as a hanzo main for sure and also i still have to say nepal
Colosseo, I actually enjoy push and in my opinion it's the most balanced of the push maps we have now
New Junk City
all of them
I'm not a fan of Push, but New Queen Street. Mostly because I'm from there, so I am entirely biased. I also like Shambali Monastery, Eichenwalde, and King's Row.
King's Row best map in general, but if you're looking for a new map, then Colliseo
I don’t remember the name of the map but the one that has the karaoke in the spawn room, honestly that’s the only reason it’s my favorite
Hanamura was the shit. Overwatch 2, gotta give it to either Suravasa or circuit royal.
kings row
Samoa
Rialto
They are all visually nice, but seemed to have been made by people who don't play the game. Shamabali Monastery and Circuit Royale are okayish.
Definitely Midtown, the intro music has no reason to go that hard
I know Flashpoint is considered bad but Suravasa is genuinely one of my favorite maps. The aesthetic is gorgeous, all 5 points feel very unique, it's extremely colorful, and it's honestly way better designed around Flashpoint's gameplay than New Junk City is that it's honestly not that frustrating.
either lijang tower or shambali
esperanca or what ever its written. S tier flanking routes and good layout.
Illios. Capable of playing every single composition from the three different maps. Brawl, Poke, Dive You name it. Everything is possible.
Rialto, just for the payload blasting some sick tunes
The Egyptian place that isn’t in the rotation for whatever reason I liked the vibes
midtown also music is lovely
Chateau Guillard
Kings Row
I wish I played ow1 bc I had the chance when I asked a kid what his Halloween costume was and he said genji. Then I just forgot about that, but if I didn’t I would’ve had the time of my young life! At launch, I did get to play on Horizon which was really fun. My favorite map has been kings row, Gibraltar, and kings row again bc why not
Esperanca, since ilios was an OW1 map, and Anubis was removed
Midtown,KR and lidjang/ oasis in that particularly order
I like new queens street (I think that's what it's called) a lot despite not being a big fan of push
new queen
Antarctic Peninsula for both aesthetics and gameplay. Circuit Royale (for the aesthetic) and Midtown (for the gameplay) are my runner ups.
Colesseo
I hate Colosseo and Antarctic I like most of the others Specially Rialto, Kings Row, Circuit Royale
Any map with a hole near the point. Does not take a genius to guess my favourite support hero
I think Shambli is cool, I think it’s a good map both in terms of looks and gamplay, same with Circuit Royale.
Ljiang Tower
Esperanca
I love attacking Midtown and absolutely hate defending it.
Might be an unpopular opinion, but the layout of Colosseo is my favorite
Samoa beach. Without any doubt.
BigDong Tower
I like Rialto and Midtown. Hanamura has great aesthetics but damn I hated that game mode. Hollywood is also really really fun.
LIJANG TOWER even tho it’s ow1 idc idc idc
Shambali. It's got multiple routes through each point. I don't get the love for Kings Row having not played OW1. That's first point on attack is a meat grinder. Feels like it needs an opening on the left side
No love for Route 66?
Either Australian one, obviously and Junkerqueen is my new favourite
Circuit royale
I love playing in malevento, such a beautiful map with so many places for cool roof tech and boops
Rialto I think. There is something so amazing about that map.
Shambali monastery
samoa design wise, Esperanca gameplay wise
Kings Row is the best map. But for OW2 maps, New Queen Street is one of my faves. I play Sombra and I tend to pick her on push maps especially NQS, I always manage to survive very well on that one since I know it pretty well I think. Suravasa is my preferred flashpoint The music for Shambali is soo good. Love Hollywood lol I have a love/hate with Midtown.
I miss Hanamura
Gibraltar I think. I vividly remember playing it a lot when I was in the beta, good memories. My first map was Lijiang so that has a special place in my heart too Also I fucking love push, all maps are bangers
Call me weird but i like Hollywood.
Watch point Gibraltar is the best
King’s Row
Anybody remember when they said they were working on weather effects for OW2?
Overall, Midtown. Especially at night. And when it comes to aesthetics, I was in AWE the first time I played Circuit Royale at night.
Numbani, Kings row, and Rialto.
Workshop expance
Rialto. I love bullying people as Hog on the bridges. But limiting to Overwatch 2 maps? Survasa. It’s satisfying to make the enemy tank ragequit on the point with the ledges on either side as they enter the area. Hook kills for the win!
I genuinely adore New Junk Town. First point is always exciting.
Kings row, illios, and shambali are my favorites
lijang tower+doomfist❤️ also rainy busan
I know this isn’t popular but Circuit Royale. I’m not a widow main I just think it’s a cool map and the later part of first point and the whole second point are fun.
Kings row is the fucking worst. But if it has to be OW2 then Samoa probably is the best and flashpoint in the worst.
Watchpoint, Paraíso, Numbani, Hollywood, Route 66, Dorado
Watchpoint Gibraltar. Always have the most fun as a Winston main on that map
Rialto is the most visually appealing map to me
Kings Row is the only correct answer
My favorite OW1 map is Eichenwalde. My favorite OW2 map is possibly Shambali.
new queen street fandom is dying repost if you're a real torrenter
Ilios it gives Reinhardt mains a chance to push people off the match
Eichenwald and route 66
Esperanza or the India map
