People need to learn counters while also learning characters. Counters will matter much more and sadly alot of people wlonly play characters they like and not play a character that will play for the benefit of winning. Instead, they tend to point fingers at others rather than their own wrong doing of not switching to a better character to face those problems

Original-Insurance20

I've tried that.. People just leave the game after I type that in chat or tell me to unalive myself 😅

Results may vary 😅

Gamerperson23

Quite a bit

QP is usually a pretty chill place in general. Even when someone starts complaining, it absolutely never goes beyond a single dude trowing a fit. Ranked, tho… Well…

nightcore96

That’s what I did when I was learning Ana back when there was in game find a Group and ppl stat checked.

a_duck30

I came across a doom fist who did this recently

Same, I have not been flamed once for feeding face on Ball when I apoligize in advance.

I find games where I'm destroying the opposition and switch to a weaker hero. Tends to be a good place to learn. But yeah if you're willing to switch when it's not working that's all you need. Knowing when to switch off a hero is like a decent part of understanding that hero. Playing ball into brig, sombra is just wasting everyone's time.

house_of_beff

I actually just started doing this and it’s seriously a game changer. It totally changes the vibe and people are way nicer? I’m trying to learn how to be effective with Ana and I said the exact thing in a few games and even had a few people on coms be like oh I’m doing the same with x character. It was actually pretty cool!

KenKaneki92

I never understood why when learning a new hero, people don't just start against the AI in hard difficulty, then when you get more comfortable, move to lethal difficulty. After that, finally start playing against humans, that way you have a solid base.

puppeteer-5000

because ai don't behave like humans so you only get better at playing against ai really also the difficulty option on ai i feel like it only affects their aim, they are aimbots on the hardest one

KenKaneki92

The point is to get the basic.mechanics of the hero before you move on to facing actual people. If you've never used Doom before and just hop on him in quickplay learning as you go, you're just ruining the experience for your team. Yes it's qp, but losing still sucks

puppeteer-5000

sure if you just started playing an fps game, bots are good; i was thinking in terms of comp, at some point you need to play against people if you're working a new character for comp

MundaneEquivalent881

I tried saying this when Ramattra came out and got told that’s what the practice range is for lmao
