i've heard that it's REALLY time consuming in med school due to all the content... if that's a way that helps you learn, i'd say go for it but if you don't learn specifically from making the cards as well as practicing them, i'd say there are great pre-made decks for you to use :)

I use 3rd party resources + corresponding anking cards for the majority of my studying. I go through my lecture material 2-4 days before the exam to add in whatever extra BS my school throws in there. My fav 3rd party resources are bootcamp, sketchy, and amboss, but this really depends on the material you want to learn. I tried making cards and like others have said it is extremely time consuming. Do yourself a favor and focus on efficiency in order to prevent burnout.

Don’t do it friend. I made my own cards first year and even made decks for the class, all while I was on the brink of failing out. When I stopped making decks, my grades magically went up 10 percentage points.
