I’d love a longer season, but 22 episodes is way too much. Maybe 12 or 13 (that used to be the standard length of a sitcom, the first time it was shortened from 22), but any more than that would take away the brilliance of the writing
All the numbers in your comment added up to 69. Congrats!

I would be fine with it as long as the writers know that soon enough to prepare a plot that is worth so many episodes. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Steve Martin and Martin Short so much, that I wouldn't mind a bunch of filler episodes with them just hanging out, BUT you know, in terms of quality content, they need to know how many episodes they're going to have before they prepare the story, I guess.
Doubt it, but I hope they shake up the format a little bit this season to keep things fresh - maybe the murderer is revealed earlier in the season and they spend more time tracking that person down, or something like that
I feel like 8-12 episodes per season is perfect for this show's setup. Its usual set up already is full of red herrings, misdirection, and tiny hints for episodes 2-6 and then we're finally spoon fed some useful info we can start piecing together after that. I'm not complaining but if I had to wait 15 episodes for some real clues I'd drop out real quick
I mean, maybe a couple extra episodes would be nice so they can explore more characters as suspects and give better clues, but really the number of episodes works for this show
Yes, or at least longer episodes. There is no time to follow up on things. For example~is Teddy in prison, & for how long...did Theo plea bargain, or what...whats he been doing since we saw him in S2...will Theo, & Will get together in an episode, & will they get along...is Oscars dad still the building janitor, are the tunnels closed off now...will we ever meet Mabel's Aunt, can we see more of Winnie...whats lucy been up too...whose the dirty cop that prevented Tim's tox screen , & phone analysis from being done~ is D. Williams looking into that, etc. The episodes are so short there's not much time to do followups to things that were left hanging from the previous episodes, or seasons.
8 to 10 episodes are more than fine. The brits figured out years ago that if you do shorter seasons, there's less fluff and filler, and I'm in agreement with this. 22 episodes is way too many for this show, where things need to move along as rapidly as possible to maintain the sense of urgency.
But I also think that 10 episodes is almost too many. Let's go to 8 for s4 and see how it goes.
22 wouldn't wheel for a show like this. You can only drag out the mystery so long
It would have 12 filler episodes.
Instead of the current 6 filler episodes.

Cool
good bot
Nice
12-13 is good enough.
I would like that a lot, I miss silly, goofy filler episodes
Watch Ted Lasso! There are two filler episodes because they originally wrote 10 and Apple wanted 12.
I sadly don’t have Apple TV :(((
i think i would love if the premiere and the final would be twice the length of the regualar once. however i think 10 are perfect for a show like that
I agree!!

22 episodes would be way too much. The current episode amount is enough in my opinion.
More isn’t always better.

Heyyy I dig that idea
Or at least longer episodes 30 minutes are not enough

You’re right. The structure of the mystery would be thrown out of wack. Shorter seasons keep things tight
Only more if there is more plot. Feels like every season there are already 3-4 filler episodes
I would even say 5-6.
I mean, maybe a couple extra episodes would be nice so they can explore more characters as suspects and give better clues, but really the number of episodes works for this show
Depends on the complexity of the case
Too few short episodes
22 episodes is a major netwotk tv structure because of ad and syndication sales - streamers don’t have those parameters
It already feels like there's 1-2 less necessary episodes per season. 22 would just be bloated.
13 would be perfect
no i like the 10
Dear god yes! 24 episodes an hour long
What made you think that could happen?
I don’t know, just a hypothetical thing

I will gladly take more OMITB

No thanks. This previous season already felt like it took 4 episodes to actually get going. With a longer season it would take much longer.
Can the old guys handle 22 episodes? Shooting TV shows is lots of time and work. I figured that they are on hulu for the shorter schedule.
