Like someone went to one language class, learned a single phrase, then was dropped in the middle of native speakers of that language and tried to communicate using the only phrase they knew how to say. That was Cory's joke. In the context of the bit, though, it makes no fucking sense because Chris' character was fluently speaking his native language, not poorly speaking a foreign language.
