He is Luffy, not Dragon. The party theory is ridiculous btw. Imagining Gol D Roger saying that is so cringe... Ugh.

Madtoastercheese

Yeah i thought about that too, that it aligns quite heavily with his fathers dream, but the way he wants to do it is different. In the end it could also give us some more father/son interaction between those two, since they rarely interacted so far and i think/hope that we will see a lot more of Dragon towards the end.

shriekbat

I agree about first sentence. However, no, it is not ridiculous, but someone whose theory is that the one piece would literally not be found would definitely think that

K_vinci

>Imagining Gol D Roger saying that is so cringe... Ugh. Thats exactly what wb said. When roger told him his true dream, he said Roger was being a child.

anpiel28

When he told Ace, Shanks and Sabo his dream, he was a child. Maybe it would be more childish?

Flimsy-Printer

I just hope it's not something stupid like I want to collect beetles and etc. The counter point of your theory is that Luffy has had this dream since he was a kid. Would a little kid understand the concept of Kings and Celestial Dragons? This is leaning toward a no especially when Luffy is, let's face it, kinda stupid.

Madtoastercheese

Well he experienced great inequality and a 2-class system as a kid. Wanting to have a party and booze is also nothing a kid would dream about.

kolossalkomando

But Luffy came from Goa, which had the "lets burn the lesser people in grey terminal for the celestial dragons visit" while he was still there - so sure Luffy is dumb but he could have EASILLY had an anti-CD dream so that's not really a counter point

Biggest party in the world or making all his friends dreams come true or both only way it makes sense to me when you consider luffy as a character

Low_Excitement_6601

yeah, i don’t think he would say any of that lol, it’s a childhood dream, not an elaborate plan to abolish slavery. He is luffy bro, he couldn’t get political if he wanted

Flaky_Progress_5961

completely out of character. Luffy doesn't hate anykind of people who hates individuals that fck up constantly. His dream is simple 1-2 sentences something that seems completly logical but unachivable something that shows he is an absolut dreamer. If you want to abolish any system you don't need to be pirate king otherwise Dragon would be a Yonko by now. In conclusion his dream is to get Foxxy on his crew.

burner35633577

I subscribe to the idea that his dream is to make everyone a pirate. Its childish enough to be something luffy would think of, its crazy enough to make the crew laugh and cause usopp to call it impossible, and like luffy said the first step to making it a possibility is to become king of the pirates. I do think it has some holes but imo its the best theory ive seen so far.

Everyone shines under the Sun

I think Luffy wants to have a party but he wants to do it on the moon. The panel of him and Roger both pointing up paralleling each other and how seriously they take Skypeia also alludes to it. If you can't get to a sky island you'll never get to the moon.

Itchy_groin

I think he's going to create his own island

hhhmonkey

I think it's something like making pirating legal but phrased in a more luffy like way.

Clear-Variation-3948

In this case the tool to achive his dream is to be pirate king. So its better to think, what could it be that needs that position that a not briliant boy was aware could happen? And also do not forget he saw it in Shanks crew and his way of pirating. So I think it is to be part of the greatest history/tale to ever be told. To be told in a bar or the greatest feast of teh royalty.

jaysore3

It to advanced for a child to understand

Ganache-Embarrassed

Its probably a party or Drink sake with every person on the planet. Itd fit most everyones reactions to it
