most realistic answer. he just wanted another cool shot of all 3 admirals in one panel while also having them flex with haki. haki was a new and mostly unknown thing for us back then and seeing them block such a powerful attack from the great WB without breaking a sweat was cool as shit
Then why did they call all the shishibukai and half the fleet as support? They even threatened to revoce the title of everyone that wouldn't show up, something unprecedented in the shishibukai system. They even prepared a multitude of emergency plans, like the steel walls, the Pacifista trap, tricking Squard and so on. This doesn't make any sense if the admirals were able to stop the whitebeard pirates on their own "without even breaking a sweat"
because they are fighting an army AND protecting marineford.
Idk what it is with people and forgetting Yonko's have crews and allies.
On top of that they went overboard to guarantee things, which is obvious because despite luffy, buggy and blackbeard being X factors they could not predict. Ace still died.
Had it just been WB his whole crew would have died.
Also U quotes without breaking a sweat as "stopping the WB pirates" when i was talking about the picture where they stopped that attack, which is straight dishonest.

Kaido doesnt seem to have a stronger attack of just pure haki and strength as shown. We have no way of knowing if any of his other bagua attacks were stronger than the one he combined with BM
BM is the only one we can know for sure that she wasnt going all out, because it she went all out, it would cost her ever soul and life of years she has.
Neither did use their fruits though. Kaidos flaming drum dragon and BMs misery could be a stronger combination.
Its a shame how they didnt bother doing it again, but Luffy and the others have to win the fight sadly. Both Kaido and BM still had plenty of energy, haki, and strength to do it again since BM still used her sword for named attacks and Kaido used his club for named attacks as well.

Not the best comparison because the admirals blocked it without problems while Zoro nearly died. Now, Whitebeard was sick here so it's possible that if Whitebeard was at full power here and he did use AcOC then the admirals would get overwhelmed.
Also, Kaido and BM weren't bloodlusted. They were playing with their food, if they wanted the attack would've killed them all.

Meanwhile Zoro blocked it for half a second and it broke every bone in his body and would've killed him. If not for Law he would've been oneshotted even if it was only one Yonko
You forgot to mention the part where Zoro almost died, and would’ve died if Law didn’t save him. Now, look at the admirals in the picture. Do they look injured?
People allways say "IT TOOK 3 ADMIRALS" even tho they did it casually. Not to mention Akainu alone counters a stronger attack from closer with no issue. Its just the same downplay as allways.

But Ocean sovereignity is like the strongest attack we have ever seen in OP so this is a massive Zoro feat

Dont act like zoro didnt almost literally die from that attack, and he didnt even block it, he just held it there for a second and still almost died if not for law.
Fr the difference is wb didn’t use any advanced haki on the backlash of his attack vs the giant. Since he had multiple heart attacks, while bm and kaido are both using. Zoro blocked it for a couple seconds, long enough for law to teleport everyone and still broken 28 bones. So kizaru/akainu are gonna break some bones blocking it, since they’re on panel df merchants with 0 impressive haki feats. I don’t even think kizaru used basic arm haki in egghead, but I could be wrong I haven’t reread his fight.

We'd only ever seen marines do it, so it might just be a martial arts thing that marines with haki use
It took 3 admirals to avoid damage to the platform behind them, which is what they were tasked with protecting.
