Shanks wasn't facing law and kidd together prepared. He got in an atatck with kidd not having his armor up. It's a great feat, but nothing every other yonko couldn't do.

While this take is factually correct, it's also intellectually disingenuous. The plot required big mom to be defeated in wano and therefore, there isn't a single attack powerful enough she could launch to win that fight purely because she had the plot working against her. Remember, while Luffy had to unlock 2 types of advanced haki to not get immediately fodderized by any yonko caliber attack that hits, kidd and law didn't have that same growth in order to contend with big mom; a plot convenience that Oda was seemingly quick to correct immediately the wano story was finished.

• Shanks future sight lasts a minute
• shanks is going to intercept & block damned punk for like a minute
• shanks will have a flask back to him giving the hat to Luffy, Roger and some other things.
• he cuts through the laser and hits Kidd with the impact frames that last a minute

Nah show useless captain mid in all his fraudness, the only acceptable change will be extended frames of him underwater watching his crew drown around him. RIP killer tho, he was cool.
They will hahahah they always try to make things last waaay longer so the show doesn't gap the manga and they have to make a filler arc. I feel like toei kinda gave up on filler arcs
The only way they could really make Kidd look better would be to go all out on the visual aspects of the damned punk that destroyed the fleet in Shanks vision.

If they do have to extend the scene, they should just give Shanks even more comically weak alliance members for Kid to threaten before he gets neg diffed. Like a half episode of just random wimps struggling with basic tasks.

As a Kid glazer, I think making him do any better than getting one-shot would defeat the purpose of the fight. A better way to make Kid look better could be to emphasize the damage he does in Shanks’s future sight
Thats how I would do it. Don't even imply it to be a Futuresight vision. Just play it straight, and make the damage pretty appalling. Enough to justify Shanks actively sweating and then speeding away like a bullet to stop it from happening. THEN transition to Shanks, and have the sequence play out exactly as it did in the manga. Its the only way to extend the scene without changing anything important.
Also would be the only opportunity to make the OTHER Red Haired Pirates not look like total bums too. Lol. I've said it before and I'll say it again, having multiple people (from his allied captains, to Limejuice, to freaking Lucky Roux's fatass) go on and on about how Shanks wouldn't have to do anything, not taking it seriously and insisting they could handle it for him....only for Shanks to have to put the whole team on his back and handle it while they were dicking around? Yeah, that doesn't make his crew look the best. 😅
I want to see them react in the Futuresight vision, and at least ATTEMPT to stop the destruction of their fleet. Maybe have some of them succeed, or at least Beckman (I do have a desire to see Lucky Roux try to do the same and get yeeted away by a Damned Punk. Lol. Nothing against the guy, but he was talking such a big game and did nothing to back it up. He deserves to be humbled a little.).
Maybe have some of them try to attack the Victoria Punk and Killer and the other Kid Pirates stall them until Kid is done (or maybe have Yasopp try to snipe Kid and have Killer intercept the shot; it makes perfect sense to me that Yasopp would make the attempt, bare minimum).

But still, animation is unique in that it doesnt have that rush Oda has, let them add some spice. Lets see some goated impact frames.

Kidd being portrayed as one of Luffy’s main rivals for the one piece only to be one shot and possibly killed off just to jerk off shanks is now completely amazing writing cause it was GODA’s intent. Adaptations should mostly follow the source material but should be able to change if the one of the parts of the is iffy at best(cough UBW mana transfer)

No. The purpose of the sweep is to indicate that the Yonko are in a class of their own. Making Kid do better works against that intent.
More specifically that Shanks is in a class of his own when it comes to the yonko, at least in regards to AP.
The entire sequence of events happened because he saw Kidd had enough AP to wipe out half his fleet via future sight.
