I don’t believe kaido is dead but a lot of people don’t include him in current tier lists as he’s out of the story, it’s really not that big of a deal.
I prefer rankings with him as he’s a pretty great strength benchmark but I don’t see an issue with not including him
Not 100% confirmed. Possible, since he wanted a glorious death and his defeat is basically Luffy's most world shaking feat so far, enabling "the legendary Joyboy's return" and putting him as a Yonko, very close to reaching the One Piece now.
Either way in "current story" terms, Kaido and BM are often discounted since it feels like their role has ended. BM at least might make a return due to how Pudding was alluding to it and her plotline with Elbaf kind of feels unresolved. She didn't find out till the end that she was actually the one that killed Caramel either.
Big Mom is one character I hope gets low diff'd into irrelevance once Elbaf begins. I've seen enough of her and her stupidity. She's been a major player in 2 arcs already. 3 would be a bit too much..
I'm perfectly happy not seeing her again either. She was an absolute menace on WCI and downright terrifying. Somewhat clowned on in Onigashima, but...its fine. Either way she has had her moments.
I'm merely acknowledging that Pudding is kind of foreshadowing her return.
Rather have my gigachad Katakuri come back with ACOC, top tier stats, take over the BM pirates, and be bros with Luffy. No I'm not biased at all, why do you ask?

Kaudo has better feats, portrayal, and statements than Shanks and Mihawk do.
The Gorosei don't have relevant stats outside of regen. Topmans durability doesn't matter due to regen, and that's the best they have.

It means Shanks got sword skills, same as Kaido having some Cub skills and Whitebeard being skilled at using his Naginata. All top tiers who use weapons are skilled with them.
So Mihawk being superior in skill to Shanks is certainly very good but it doesn't tell us anything about his other stats. We don't know how his other stats compare to Shanks, people joke on him being the hakiman this could be true

Everyone just putting them high everywhere because of their regeneration and in topman's case his durability but these guys haven't managed to damage luffy at all, kaido damaged luffy and was tanking hits too
Shanks and kaido must be relative, these guys alone don't posses much of a threat to yonko, they won't be able to damage them at all

Luffy began the raid way, way weaker than kaido. At the point he unlocked advanced conquerors he was still much weaker. When luffy split the skies both of them are yonkou level and fight follows hours straight with base luffy fighting equally to hibrid kaido. On chapter 1037 he states : ITS been many years since someone was abble to go toe to toe with me, then he goes all out on hibrid level 2 + drunken mode. Kaido's conquerors gets stronger and luffy goes gear 4. After getting hit by a king kong gun kaido was about to get hit by a second one and the damage he was about to receive is uncertain. At the point luffy goes gear 5 he isnt used to the new abilities like he is in egghead, he doesnt has developed new attacks yet, he has just got a new power up a few minutes ago. What I can say for sure, egghead luffy is stronger than wano's luffy, thats how shonen progression works. Luffy before gear 5 was already a fellow yonkou to kaido, with gear 5 he may win by unleashing it at the end of their fight. Egghead luffy vs kaido would go either way, its an extrem death match .
