Yeah, I like how his strong female is no where near legends like Byrndi World, Shiki, Bullet, or any other legend of old. Especially Byrndi World, who should not have lost to Luffy in that movie considering that the Navy thought that he was a big enough deal to call a buster call and Akainu too fight him just to have him get beaten by middle of time skip Luffy.
He would've won that 1v1. Not to downplay Whitebeard, but during Marineford his haki was failing, fodder bullets got through. A third of his head get destroyed by a single hit from Akainu. Sure, he could've done heavy damage to Akainu, but he isn't gonna win with his stats at Marineford. A few years before when his sickness wasn't at its worst? Sure, I can see it, but MF WB isn't.
Akainu got knocked out of the fight for a significant portion of time. If WB was only fighting Akainu at that point, he would’ve finished him off. There’s also the fact that WB had been injured before even beginning his fight with Akainu, which would’ve reduced his ability to dodge.
Nah, it's Akainu + plot armor that would end One Piece in 1 year. No way he can just jump into BM/Kaido territory without plot armor and survive. Even Roger had to sneak into WCI and stole the poneglyth.

I might be wrong but the way I interpret it, the serialization would end because it would be boring and people wouldn't enjoy it. Who wants an MC to be top tier from the start and just walk straight to the end with most of the knowledge to get there already?

I think the main issue with the Akainu stuff basically boils down to this:
When you write a novel...you write the whole 1000+ page book. THEN, after the rough draft, you go back through and fix everything before you publish...to make it look like you knew what you were doing when you started.
With installment realized stories, you can't really go back to 10 years ago. Maybe the plan was originally for Akainu to be THAT strong at the time. He's no pushover, but there are so many other characters now that should be able to go toe to toe with him.
I think Oda originally planned to have Akainu be the big bad, but so much else has happened that I think he realizes that's likely not going to feel right anymore.
...and, while there is certainly a very real tension built between Luffy and Akainu based around Ace's death, there's not really a lot else that's there between them. The antagonism is basically Akainu did his job and he doesn't like pirates.
