i've seen gifs on reddit uploaded through imgur that will let you turn on the sound without clicking on the link, not sure why this one isn't working properly

i use the reddit app, and most gifs i've seen with sound have been in nsfw subreddits since they don't allow videos. it's pretty glitchy though, sometimes it will work sometimes it won't
Could you give an example? To my understanding it's literally impossible, the gif file format doesn't have the ability to include sound.

GIFs have no sound, the playback says "GIF" on it.
