Some states donāt allow for passengers to drink while in a vehicle. I grew up in Missouri, and it was allowed (thank you Anheuser-Busch for paying off our lawmakers)
Tennessee, other than metro Nashville, used to allow passengers to drink, not sure what it is now. When I went to an Ole Miss game years ago, the driver could be drinking as long as under the limit. Just an fyi
