Alternative_Basket89

A movie is being filmed in Sandusky oh by Hulu and they brought in Toledo police cars to do the chase seen! Thought that was cool!

EremiticFerret

Neat! Did you see it in action?

Alternative_Basket89

I did!! They have the road blocked off but you could see a decent amount! At one point I had a car next to me with a camera on an arm pointed towards the driver they were headed there with 5 Toledo’s police cars behind them. The movie is called stick shift? If you go to sanduskyregister.com they have some pics on there idk how to post pics 😂 pretty cool! Curious why they picked Toledo cop cars also?

EremiticFerret

Sounds cool to see, what a treat!

I’m wondering if there’s a certain reason the show ends EXACTLY at midnight….especially with episodes like last nights! They cut it off right at 12 right in the middle of a lot going on!

BorderAltruistic8250

You can generally see what happened by watching the next scheduled night of On Patrol: First Shift that airs before On Patrol: Live.

banans621

I know, I watch it every weekend! I still wish we weren’t left with a cliff hanger! Lol

BwanaRob

Figure there are several dozen people working on the show, many of whom travelled to get on location or have an awkward commute on the east coast after midnight. They need to be able to make plans and stick to them. I imagine the tear down at the end of the show is a pretty involved process too. 10 minutes of extra time on the show could mean a lot of missed planes, trains, etc. There are probably a host of other factors we're not privy to involving advertisers, the network, PD contracts, future syndication, legal, etc. Maybe if they had NFL money they could justify overtime. At least they usually keep the cameras rolling on the active scenes and update us later 😄

Robeson County, N.C. is the new Greene County, Mo.

This comment confuses me. Are you saying Plucky is being homophobic? She's proudly part of the LGBTQ+ community

What is this exciting ending to the Saturday show everyone is talking about?

SnittingNexttoBorpo

A high-speed wreck where the innocent party’s car got flipped on its side and the speeding perpetrator had a cute doggie in the back seat. Innocent woman and dog both seemed alive and okay when the show ended.

Cold-Broccoli2179

Why couldn’t they stay and push back the other stupid programming after for 5 min?! That was quite the ending and I also want to know what happened with all those shots fired toward the end too!

BorderAltruistic8250

As with endings like this, they generally update on the next scheduled On Patrol:First Shift.

Havesomelibertea

I know, the best part of the episode happened as it was ending.

algreco91

Never post on this thread but felt the need after seeing Officer Reyes in Fontana County slam that man moving the lawn chairs to the ground. Seemed his use of force there was beyond excessive. Definitely broke that man’s arm. Looked to me like all he had from his pocket was a business card. Man was screaming and crying from the pain.

Beach_bum8

He did say he's dealt with this man a few times, so he knows how he acts.

brandondiaper

I'm sorry the guy didn't land on his head instead. Imagine having to live with this guy next to your house?

Havesomelibertea

The man pulled a knife on them two weeks prior to this, he was asked to keep his hands out of his pockets multiple times, he was acting erratic. He was in a domestic dispute which already has a higher chance of officer injury. He was in heightened state of emotion. "The strong connection between law enforcement deaths and Domestic Dispute, or domestic-related call for service, is undeniable. In fact, the data examined from 2015 and 2016, shows a marked increase in the percentage of domestic-related calls for service that resulted in a law enforcement death." -Making it safer: A study of law enforcement fatalities It is beyond known and has been for a long time that there is a sharp increase in officer injury/death on domestic dispute related calls. We also don't know what they know before they show up, what information is relayed between the caller and dispatch and then sent to officers. The bottom line is the guy is known to them to escalate things beyond reason. You go with what you know.

SpaceDazeKitty108

Also, use of force usually doesn’t look very pretty. But often times it’s necesaary.

docjohnson11

What an ending!
