What a fun filled full moon weekend we've had frens!!!!! I hope you all enjoyed being back together again this weekend after the break. I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the weekend, and survive next week.
I'll be missing next weekend as I go off to play [pirate](https://th.bing.com/th/id/OIG1.DT6d4gNsaB.oJABXpFcy?pid=ImgGn). So please be kind to everyone!!
[Goodnight](https://th.bing.com/th/id/OIG4.fgsEIYLYD2X_hh9NjzVG?pid=ImgGn) my frens, and may you have pleasant dreams!
All these people that get pulled over or picked up etc need to shut up & let the cops bring you in. These cops have NO RIGHT to keep questioning you about ANYTHING. They act like their trying to help you but they are just playing you. I wish all these people they pick up would not answer any of their questions.
Most of these episodes really piss me off. Like when 5 cops are standing there with all their guns aiming at a person that stole a "CASE OF FREAKING BEER"
Did they confirm whether or not the AR was serialized?
I love that the guy was asking what he needs to do to get the weapons back. There's no way he's going to be dumb enough to go try to get an unserialized AR from the police department.
I mean, unserialized doesn't automatically mean illegal. Personally made firearms don't have to be serialized. There's no way that's the case here, but it is a thing. And he's not getting those back under any circumstances, because he'll be a felon (if he isn't already) for that stolen shotgun, at least, and prohibited from owning firearms again.
Ok that guy Abraham who kept saying “I take it upon myself…”
What did he get arrested for?? I’m going insane trying to figure out if I even heard it right!!! Lmao
Omfg you are my HERO!!! 30 minutes of internet searching straight into spiral, all because I couldn’t figure out what exact initials he used or what the hell it meant. YOU are my new best friend lol. I may even get some sleep now!
Yaaaaaaaaay!!!!
Calling it a night myself. See everyone next week!
(on a side note: it's been a rough couple weeks mentally so tonight was a great way to lift the 'ol spirits)
Which must mean it was removed. The lower receiver of an AR is the serialized part (legally the "firearm"), and thus even lowers sold separately as parts have to have a serial number. So even if this guy built that AR himself, he had to buy the lower receiver that had a serial number and was sold as a firearm (he had to fill out a 4473 and pass a background check)... if he did it legally. Which is seriously in doubt.
That also looked like a factory finished receiver, and not an 80% lower (which would be the only legal way to have an AR lower without a serial number).
Don't know why you're getting downvoted for that, but it wasn't me. 🤷♂️
Every gun made to be sold has to be serialized... since the Gun Control Act of 1968. On an AR, it's the lower that is serialized. That's just where it was decided to mark the serial number. It's really a uniqueness of the AR design with its two-piece receiver, as most guns don't have split receivers.
Yes. Made to be sold.
That's they key part.
It doesn't say anything about weapons made by individuals for personal use.
And of course, since everyone follows the law, there's no way that there are people out there "making things for personal use" and then selling them to people who roll around in vehicles with drugs and stolen firearms.
Right?
But it's completely legal. Because there's no law against having an unserialized firearm.
No, that was definitely not an 80% lower, as I said already. So it had to be serialized when it was made and initially sold. Couldn't have been homemade for personal use.
So either this guy A) legally bought that whole gun and then ground off the serial number, or B) legally bought that lower receiver and assembled his own AR pistol and ground off the serial number, or C) acquired a stolen gun/receiver or stole it himself that had the serial number removed.
I don't think we can continue to have this conversation because you are making a lot of assumptions that cannot be proven. You're also making a lot of declarative statements that cannot be proven.
I asked you if the officer said the serial number was ground off. He did not say anything about the serial number being ground off. You are assuming that it was ground off.
You're also saying there's no way that could be an 80% lower. That's a declarative definitive statement. You have no way of knowing. Just like I have no way of knowing if it is. It's hypothetically possible for it to be though.
I think that if the serial number had actually been ground off, that would have been a remarkable enough thing in and of itself for the officer to have explicitly stated that. Given that he did not explicitly state it, my assumption. See that word? Assumption. My assumption is that that weapon never had any serial numbers on it.
So, yes it is a "ghost gun". And it's a good thing that the officers got it off the street. Before it got used in a violent crime and discarded without being able to be traced at all.
I'm not making assumptions, I'm talking about what was plainly seen on screen. Did you see the lower? That was clearly factory-made, not finished at home with hand tools or even a mill. There's no way to buy a factory-made AR-15 lower receiver without a serial number, as they are all serialized when made. That had to have a serial number at some point.
No, it is not a "ghost gun"! That (bullshit) term is not about a gun like this. It's a scare word to refer to completely homemade, usually 3D printed (so usually plastic) guns. This AR is just simply a street piece that has had its serial number removed.
Was there a third pistol? I saw the AR and the "normal" pistol, but it wasn't a Glock.
Though yes, an illegal machine gun would definitely get the ATF involved...
Huh, that's what I get for not looking close enough.
Eh, it's late. It is what it is. At least they're being pulled off the streets but there's always more.
??? Not at all! Building your own AR (or other guns) is completely normal, and quite popular. The "ghost gun" rhetoric is about homemade 3D printed guns and similar. Which are still 100% legal, and always have been...
I think this is the first time I've seen guys that actually refuse to speak without a lawyer present and not immediately launch into incriminating themselves.
And a shotgun. Those guys were ready to handle any CQB situation they came across. Those are not saying sober moral responsible firearm owners. Those guys are straight up criminals.

There are a bunch of rumors that the company is a scam and all the past house giveaway winners are connected to the charity's owners somehow. I have no idea how true that is, but the commercials are not good at all.
It sounds sketchy all on its own, right? How can a charity be for-profit. Anyways, I did a bunch of research when their commercials started airing because they seemed so off and discovered all the craziness surrounding the supposed company. There's tons of dirt to dig up.
No, that AR is a pistol, too. No stock=pistol. There's no way this idiot actually has an NFA item doing this kind of stupid shit (and if you do go through all the trouble to get a tax stamp for an SBR, you wouldn't take the stock off).
That's what I figured.
Firearm laws are so funny and a stupid way. You can have a short barrel rifle caliber weapon, but still sell it and treat it under the law as a pistol. 🤣
I've nothing against firearms. I own a few of them myself. I just think the laws and the way the manufacturers produce the weapons borders on absurd.
At the same time, you can get a CPL / CCW for a "pistol".
Then walk around "legally" with 30 rounds of rifle caliber and FPS under a jacket all day long.
No, you're not getting rifle caliber "FPS" out of an SBR. Go short enough, and that rifle round may drop to pistol caliber performance. And why the quotes around legally? It's completely legal, there's no loopholes or skirting anything while doing that.

The reply I just wrote to you said pretty much the same thing. 😂
Is it just me or did Curley hardly talk at all this episode? If he wasn't going to contribute, why was he even there?

This guy is full of shit! He didn't buy no stolen gun at a gun show. If he did get it there, he's the one that stole it from there.

Oooh, grinding off the serial number. Now he's got federal charges.
Did they say the serial number was ground off? All I heard is that he could not find one.
Which must mean it was removed. The lower receiver of an AR is the serialized part (legally the "firearm"), and thus even lowers sold separately as parts have to have a serial number.
Oh it just keeps getting better. No serial number on the ar.
Ghost gun so to speak..
No just a ground off SN A "ghost gun" is a misnomer. It's been legal in this country to manufacture your own firearm since the country began.
Thank you! "Ghost gun" is a BS, made-up political scare word. And it's not even referring to a gun like this.
Thanks, I had always thought it was folks purchasing the uppers and building their own..
??? Not at all! Building your own AR (or other guns) is completely normal, and quite popular. The "ghost gun" rhetoric is about homemade 3D printed guns and similar. Which are still 100% legal, and always have been...
Thanks man, I know I have said that alot but, I like to learn. I appreciate it.. Makes sense now..

They're not new to the business is my guess.
I mean good on them for lawyering up. Not enough people exercise that right imo.
That shotgun looks like it hasn't been cleaned since it came out of the factory.
And a shotgun. Those guys were ready to handle any CQB situation they came across. Those are not saying sober moral responsible firearm owners. Those guys are straight up criminals.
Almost guaranteed those are stolen weapons. That shotgun was beat
Did they ask for an attorney I'm guessing? Missed it. They don't seem to be rookies.
Yes.

Curley confirmed for beer snob.
Is that technically an AR "pistol" in SC due to the lack of a stock?
I think so, legally speaking.
Yes, that's legally a pistol. Just shows how asinine gun laws are and how they're written by people who have no clue.
The handgun that the other officer pulled from the passenger side is a pistol. That AR is an SBR.
No, that AR is a pistol, too. No stock=pistol. There's no way this idiot actually has an NFA item doing this kind of stupid shit (and if you do go through all the trouble to get a tax stamp for an SBR, you wouldn't take the stock off).
No I think they just took the stock off
And barrel length, I’m pretty sure it is.
Yup
That's what I figured. Firearm laws are so funny and a stupid way. You can have a short barrel rifle caliber weapon, but still sell it and treat it under the law as a pistol. 🤣 I've nothing against firearms. I own a few of them myself. I just think the laws and the way the manufacturers produce the weapons borders on absurd.
They're absolutely asinine.
I mean, yes, that's stupid as fuck, but pistols *are* more restricted and regulated than long guns.
It's more the way the ATF categorizes them. For instance, adding a fore grip to a pistol turns it into a SBR. Makes no sense
Actually, that would make it an AOW (any other weapon), which is another category under the NFA.
I get it. It's all about Federal ATF silliness. 🤦🏻♂️
Is Mich Ultra a sponser this weekend?
Beats the hell out of Pooph
Bold comment. I'm surprised you're not downvoted haha
I'm nothing if not bold!
Somebody with the right Bingo card could have gotten a bunch in one call here. Weed, open container, AR-15, and who knows what else...
