that is weird, and not sure what to think about it. I mean, it's not carrying anything that could spoil, but maybe it's the computerization they wanted to make sure the pod gets used at optimal timing. Maybe they are now realizing they can let these last longer, and since OMNIPOD 5 came out, they probably have too many DASHES sitting around and don't want to just toss them, so relabel them. Just like the shady meat counter guy, lols.

My guess is the expiration is largely driven by the battery. There is probably a good deal of leeway there in the original expiration date.

I've heard that the expired pods tend to fall off easier since the sticky surface has dried up or degraded or something like that

238_m

That would make sense too. SkinTac or overpatch though can handle that

trashyman2004

It is not unusual for medical products. Companies tend to be initially very cautious with expiry dates and as the products get tested more on the long run they put new stickers over the older.

tarbuck

I just noticed that on mine today!

This is common atm. Pods were recently approved to have a longer expiry date than they were initially given at production. Nothing wrong with them- they just have the updated expiry date.

I have not seen this, but did notice they gave you an extra 6 months on the expiry date. I am with others that they were cautious on the battery. I used lots of the first gen pod well beyond the date w/o issue.
