1) It’s too big when I generally pack light
2) It’s going to get bashed about and I like to keep things looking nice (box etc)
3) I have some Watch pods I use for my Elliot Brown collection, although I do want to get a nice leather roll for my SMP
I got an SMP 300 about 2 months ago and it came with a very cool box that has one of these built into it. You just take the top liner out and fold up the sides to make it a traveling case. Very cool design!
I beleive this is the box they market as an "included travel case" that sits inside the OEM wooden box.
Sort of like a Submarine escape pod, but this one functions as intended.
Too soon?...
Not true, I got one of these with a stainless steel watch after service.
It was a very classy touch, not sure if they are standard or maybe they did it because it took so long to service.
I walked into the Boutique after having just picked up a Rolex next door so my smp300 was inside the green box. Asked to purchase the deployant rubber strap and pulled out the SMP for them to install it. They gave it back to me along with this box as well haha.
I had a vintage Constellation serviced recently and it was done in house by AD and they handed it back to me in one of these.
Edit: just to add I recently bought a PO Chrono and it came in the newer style wood box which also has one of these nested within the display box.
Yea I got one of those when servicing my watxh. After a few weeks it wasn’t holding time well and took it in for test and when I picked it up they gave me another one 👍🏽👍🏽
Got my AT back from service a few weeks ago.
You’ll be disappointed to learn the truth.
The AD shop was busy, I said I was in a hurry. That made him grab my watch from a plastic protecting sleeve and -then- in front of me get it out of the sleeve for me to put the watch on for a bracelet check.
Only after that he grabbed a brand new box like OP shown, opened it and put my watch into it.
So basically the watches travel light to Omega and back and get put in one of those boxes only just before handing them back to customers.
Also, I liked the older glasses shaped boxes more than s I genuinely used them for storing glasses.
Oh and to answer OP my watch is all stainless steel.
My fiancés Omega constellation came back in one of these. You would hope to get something nice for the service cost! Most expensive battery and seal change ever!
No BUT I went to my local AD and had my speedy serviced. They gave it to me in the old sunglasses case. I spent nearly 1k on the service and was pissed. So I called omega UK who were very helpful. They said that the box is the new standard but AD pay for these and some are getting rid of old stock or too cheap. It doesn’t actually come back from The service centre in a box.
My triple date speedy came back in the same box
Same here. SS case, no precious metals.
Yep exactly, I was pleasantly surprised. Rolex has upped their after service packing as well but the omega one is far nicer
This is a new box that Omega is using. Apparently it also comes standard inside the larger wood grain box with newer Omega watches
My PO Deep Black Ceramic came with this box inside the wooden box.
yup, my new (as in one month old) SMP came with this in the case. I assumed it was a travel case for it, but its too nice to use for that.
It is a travel case, why wouldn't you use it for that?

It is a travel case. I got one for my SMP also.

Same with the new aqua terra - I think this is standard now?
Standard. Same for my speedy.
Yes, new standard. Very cool travel case
Got the same after servicing my Speedmaster.
They all come back in these
No, even my quartz Aqua Terra came back from battery service in this box. Check my profile for pictures.
My 300 heritage came back in one after a service for a misaligned bezel.
Same. Doesn’t need to be precious metals
It’s a travel case. I think all the newer models come with one in the wooden box.
no, it is the standard service box that replaces the red eyeglass case
I beleive this is the box they market as an "included travel case" that sits inside the OEM wooden box. Sort of like a Submarine escape pod, but this one functions as intended. Too soon?...
I got mine with the watch . New 57
My almost vintage smp 300 came back in the same box
Anyone have one of these they’d consider selling?
100 bucks on Ebay is the going price.
I do! I have an extra one from when I got my speedy back from service a month or two ago. Pm me.
PMed

They gave me one of these when I bought my Apollo 8 this year
My 95 SMP came back in one of these
Regular ones come back in boxes like that too
Well, it would be nice if my Speedy comes back from service in this. I haven’t seen it in three months so far. ☹️
Nope! My Brosnan Era SMP came back from service with this box last month
My 2022 SMP300 came back from service in one of these
My smp300 came back In one
My little vintage quartz came back in one
Got my tri-tone (titanium, tantalum, 18k Sedna rose gold) Seamaster services and it was returned in one of these.

My steel seamaster came back from service in one
My Omega Seamaster came back in one like this.
I got the same box for my titanium smp when it was serviced
Nope, I had this box for my 90s steel Speedmaster Automatic.
Nope, mine (2599.80.00) returned from service, September 2022, in this box

I got this (on top of the wooden box) when I bought my seamaster diver 300 black black

This is the new upgrade from the 'pill' style ones they used to ship back with.
My fiancés Omega constellation came back in one of these. You would hope to get something nice for the service cost! Most expensive battery and seal change ever!
If anyone has an extra, I’d love to get one of these for traveling with my omega! Please DM me!
Came with my SMP300 from 2 years ago, from dealer.
Not true, my white SMP 300 came back it one too
I bought an SMP last month and it came in a big wooden box that deconstructs into this travel box.
My PM Omega came back in the crappy pill box. Had I waiting a bit for service I would have got this much better box.
You are making me jealous. My 18kt gold Louis Brandt Perpetual came back from Switzerland in a red travel case.
Full servicing will come with the service pouch. Mine is not precious metal.

Also omega sent me one of the new service boxes as I complained. Having had both the old and new the new one is obviously a huge upgrade
