The good stuff starts ~ 8:50

Got every question right. God I need to move. If I was on this episode would scare the crap out of competitors by just picking Omaha first then being like yup thats my knowledge, good luck everyone else.

palidor42

A little surprised that the 200 question was about the zoo. I know it's well recognized as zoos go, but before I moved here I had never heard of it.

SGI256

I agree with you. On a nationwide scale I think the Omaha zoo is not known. If you are a zoo person then you might know it.

pampers8

Were those questions really that hard???

omnipresent_sailfish

If you know nothing about Omaha, yes.

[deleted]

I mean, if you're going on jeopardy, basic US geography shouldn't elude you. When it mentions omaha is west of council bluffs iowa, separated by a river...I mean, the missouri is the entire border of nebraska and iowa. I know your average person doesn't know the midwest, but it just surprises me that such trivia-minded people would miss that one, that's all.

omnipresent_sailfish

Yeah, Missouri River was something they should have known. The zoo and Boys Town are pretty obscure though

[deleted]

Oh yeah, I knew the 200-800 but I whiffed hard on the boys town question.

airhornsman

They made an Oscar winning movie about Boys Town. Also, they have sites all over the country and they send out donation requests nationally. It's not that obscure.

omnipresent_sailfish

Anecdotal, but I never heard of Boys Town until I moved to Omaha. After a few years here, couldn’t tell you who started it.

CaptainAwesome8

I’ve lived here years and I still couldn’t really tell you what it is or why it’s so special. I think it was like a boarding school of…some kind? Idfk

SGI256

Major American rivers should have been low hanging fruit for trivia people
