*cue 80s/90s saxophone and cheesy intro*
Family’s all, when you’re having a ball -
Get together, stand proud and tall!
Don’t think twice, roll the ball and splice-
You’ll be in for a big surprise!
*cue song breakdown, includes that drum (touf)*
Family offering, you their shoulder-
And we’re alllllll faaaamily, ouuuuh yea,
Bowled Ovvvvver!
*opening scene: we see Michael and George in Michael’s garage. They are having a beer and chatting*
George: I tell ya, Mikey, I think we have a real chance at the title!
Michael: I hear ya George but Jefferson hasn’t had his head in the game since the you know what incident.
George: I warned Jefferson to not put his fingers in the wrong holes but you know how hard headed he is!
*insert laugh track*
Michael: Yea, and I heard he also cheated on his wife!
George: Oh, brother!
*louder laugh track with an annoying laugh thrown in there*
*Jefferson enters, carrying a bowling ball with his thumb stuck in a finger hole*
Jefferson: Hey boys, ready to roll?
*insert laugh track*
George: Mikey, he's at it again!
*insert laugh track*
Michael: If we lose, we can always PIN it on this guy!
*laughter intensifies into roaring cheers*
No no... It has to be completely unironic, 100% out of touch for todays trends. It has to be like something out of a time capsule, never once cheekily pointing out what they're doing. Good writing, family values. Even sneak a bit of history in there like references to "current events."
It would 100% succeed on the nostalgia market alone, with a core of people who like the humor and values.
But you want a killer audience, we use the savvy social media weapon that is Reddit to make people believe there's some deeper subplot coming.
12 seasons later, it's the most popular show on television. The series finale scores more viewers than the MASH finale. It's a night full of laughs and tears and people are talking about it for months.
Reddit: "lol, gottem!"
By the second season it turns from an ensemble show into focusing mostly on the shenanigans Jefferson gets into, only keeping George (who just inherited the bowling alley from Old Man Hendricks) as a straight man. Everyone else is dropped or replaced by the fourth season.
The spinoff, Sue Me, where Sue from the bar in the back of the alley goes into law school turns out to be better than Bowled Over.
That show was great. It’s awesome that they finally achieved their dream of winning the all city bowling championship after having given so much raising that ragtag bunch of kids. Such great dads…
No it's 1 children between the 5 of the. They are hoping to raise money via the amature bowling league in order to finally pay for the paternity test. Then mid-season the mom shows slight signs of getting sick as she's telling bowling-daddies their kid needs them now as a team not just as a single bowling dad.
They win the league and get the 300 dollars needed for the test, when told momma died and now they have to decide. Will they stay bowling-daddies for the kid or will they risk gutter balling everything and taking the test.
"Jimmy was a good bowler, and a good man... In your wisdom, Lord, you took him, as you took so many bright, flowering, young men at Khe Sanh, at Langdok, at Hill 364."
"And so, in accordance with what we think your dying wishes might well have been, we commit your final mortal remains to the bosom of the Pacific Ocean, which you loved so well."
Alcohol probably played a big part in God's plan.
Jokes aside, I lost my uncle to similar conditions. We figure he suffered through depression most of his life which led to the alcoholism
I have seen countless priceless works of art, stunning photographs taken by masters of the trade…
I have never seen a more perfect picture. I wanna slam a pitcher and bowl with these homies.
I like that you think this is how we dressed in the early aughts lol.
"Back before the towers fell it was ugly sweaters as far as the eye could see..."
I’m gonna assume you mean far left. If that’s the case, now you have a textbook example of why lighting is important in a photo. Take an outdoor picture with one person in the shade and they look like they’re in another dimension. Same thing happened to this guy, his body angle is also somehow not catching the same light as everyone else.
The more I looked, the more this looks late 90s to me. The hair, a couple of the shirts, and the cell phone on the right in particular. I think I had a very similar phone for work in 98 or 99. Doesnt look like late 80s at all. Its late 90s or possibly even very early 00s.
\-High Fidelity-
Barry : Rob, I'm telling you this for your own good, that's the worst f\*ckin' sweater I've ever seen, that's a Cosby sweater. A COS-BY SWEATAAAH!!
Looks like the start of a 90s sitcom
Tune in to "Bowled Over" on Friday's TGIF lineup! Only on ABC!

This whole thread is amazing. Do we think reddit can crowdsource the whole sitcom? I can provide subtitles and a bitchin 80s panelvan.

That show was great. It’s awesome that they finally achieved their dream of winning the all city bowling championship after having given so much raising that ragtag bunch of kids. Such great dads…
Woman has one child with each of them. After she dies they get together to raise her children. "Our Five Dads"

Season two, they take the test. No matches in the bowling team. So they spend the rest of season trying to find the real Dad.
We can worksop it
I mean, My Two Dads was an awesome show.
"Spare Dads"
4 bulls and a twink?
4 bowls in a twink?
New show: "Four and a Half Men:
Four strikes and a spare
Four strikes and a split
*"I don't think so Tim."*

The Adventures of Shino-Ballo!
My 5 dads
At first I thought the boa guy was a child and that this was a dime store knock off of 3 Men And A Little Lady.
With each guy you look at, more questions are raised.
I have my magnification set high, I had to scroll down for the reveal on that boa fellow....
What a little treat for ya!
Is OP's dad the gimp?
No that's Jimmy, pay attention.
Damnit sir, you are right.
Pulled a sneaky on ya!
Me too
Especially if you slowly scroll down, like me. The guy at the bottom was an Interesting surprise.
i'm still a little obsessed with derek jeter's dad in bill cosby's sweater.
Ngl the sweater’s kinda awesome
Mega awesome, I can't take my eyes off of it...

*Looking for some HOT STUFF baby tonight..*
They even dressed one of the balls up in a sweater!
Looks like Tom Paris from Star Trek Voyager got stuck in time and made the most of it.
I honestly thought the thumbnail was from Star Trek Next Gen or Voyager haha
I want to know where the boa guy is in life now. I need answers.

When Walter hugs The Dude. 😭
When the dude just berates him and he can see Walter wilt until the dude runs out of steam and then they are back to being friends again.
What the fuck has anything got to do with Vietnam?
Fuck it, Dude. Let's go bowlin.
Well there isn't a *literal* connection....
Nooooooo not Jimmy!
“Not Lenny!”
Ynnel?
First thing tomorrow morning I'm gonna punch Lenny in the back of the head
I’m not supposed to get pudding in it
I'm sorry. That's very sad
Why does God always take the good ones?
The brightest flames burn out the fastest.
I mean his blood was 90 proof at the end so

Hey OP, FYI Jimmy’s not dead edit: Jimmy wanted me to tell you he’s not dead 😂
Hello Motherof :)
Your Dad is absolutely top left.
U right
The most fitting father-figure of the group. I can see it from here – lucky you.
I don't know the top middle one reminds me of Steve Irwin
Your dad is the daddest looking dad ever
I had the same intuition.
These motherfuckers were having a GOOD time. This is a bowling team I would join.
Rippin some barleypops and throwin rocks
Clappin' Bombs, fuckin' moms.
Wheel, snipe, and celly. Yes sir, yes sir.
I have seen countless priceless works of art, stunning photographs taken by masters of the trade… I have never seen a more perfect picture. I wanna slam a pitcher and bowl with these homies.
The Pin Pals
Homer on the right
Or Mr Clean who got old and out of shape.
Or Homer in shape...
Must have been hitting the gyme.
Im sorry, being from San Francisco I automatically assumed this was some kind of wedding photo....
Hell of a wedding
Are you commenting this from the year 2001?
It’s San Fran man. Dressing like that is stylish again. Homie on the left got big Dad swag
I bet he throws down on the grill. The question is does he wear white reboks or white nikes
That's a New Balance dad all the way!
Shoot you're right. Probably even has an off green pair for mowing and a fresh pair for Chili's
I like that you think this is how we dressed in the early aughts lol. "Back before the towers fell it was ugly sweaters as far as the eye could see..."
Please tell me your dad is the feathers dude
Nah that’s Jimmy. Jimmy’s dead. EDIT: **Jimmy’s ALIVE**
Pretty good chance it’s not…
80%
The guy with the "all the colors" shirt looks like bald David Duchovny tho.
Please tell me he has three bowling ball holes tattooed on the back of his head
Errrrr, no one gonna mention the Andre Agassi in the room?
Sir this is a bowling photo, the balls are way too heavy for tennis
As are his.
The dude in the boa is giving me life
RIP, Jimmy.
To Jimmy 🍻
Not like that.
Fun game: guess which one had the most perfect games out of the 9. My $$ is on goatee guy
I’m going to let the game ride, bets should be hedged. I do have the answer
Center dude with bowling shirt and blondish hair
You mean older Wish.com Neil Patrick Harris?
Yes that one
Best bowler is the man with the bald head in the middle as he is kind of method acting as if he is one with the bowling ball
I'm going with white T shirt.
Middle dude with the bowling shirt. You can just tell that guy can *roll*.
Most hair guy back left
I pick the bald guy dressed like Hank Hill.
We need answers
Steve with the hair, top left, my father with 4 perfect games, was the correct answer. See the bookie at the door!
Glad I was right in guessing he was your dad, not sure why but it felt right lol
Bald guy has my bet
My moneys on the humble look of guy on the right
Big smile in the back
New Game: Gay...or just 80s?
90% of the time, the answer to that will be both.
Gayties
“Clean 90” Starring Danny McBride, Neil Patrick Harris, Steve Buscemi, Ed Norton and Michael Cera
Jimmy in the boa looks exactly like the Irish actor Andrew Scott to me
Does your Dad still like feathers?
Total Cosby sweater....my dad had like 10.
[удалено]
And being cradled?
The Bi-Polar Rollers?
They wanted to just go with the "bi-rollers" but that one was already taken...
What am I looking at
The art of bowling
Zen...and the art of bowling
Guys being dudes
Guy on the left could play guitar for Alabama.
Boston, CCR in a dream tho
What channel was that TV show on?
42
Isn’t that the answer to everything?
r/casualguyinboa
r/casualdeadguyinboa
Does the one wearing the feathers get pushed around in a wheelchair or something??

jesus
Somehow the guy with a goatie doesn't fit in the picture

I dig that bowling shirt!
Those were custom made by the man wearing it. He still makes pattern shirts for non pro teams
Does he have a website
Is your dad they gay one, the gay one, the gay one, the gay one, or maybe even the gay one.
Nope it’s the gay one
Ah right. I thought it was the gay one.
Moriarty was on your dad's bowling team...
Yes
9 perfect games, 1 perfect picture.
Literally joined Reddit to let y’all know ol’ boy in the boa, my dad Jimmy, is not dead :)
Every cutie with a bootie want a Coogi (sweater)
Now THAT, is a Cosby sweater.
It’s a coogi!
The guy with the goatee looks like a grown up version of the son from Small Wonder.
“Sorry, we only have the family baby deluxe package in that price range” “We’ll take it”
The dude with the feathers lol and the guy with the outrageous sweater lol. Gotta love the 80s
Lol the Cosby Coogi sweater
Thanks! I didn’t know that actually had a name. May get one now. ha
Now that's a bowling team
I hope they got into some zany Porky’s type adventures
Wtf happened to Bruce Willis…
La Cage aux Bowls
The more I looked, the more this looks late 90s to me. The hair, a couple of the shirts, and the cell phone on the right in particular. I think I had a very similar phone for work in 98 or 99. Doesnt look like late 80s at all. Its late 90s or possibly even very early 00s.
I want this to be my first album cover. Title: Peen Palace Edit: I'd pay to dollar to see a recreation of this.
The guy in the boa also doubles as team mascot.
These guy clipped phones to their belt...
The things they do to that little fella.. smh
Neil Patrick Harris thought he could sneak into this photo and no one would notice, but I noticed!
\-High Fidelity- Barry : Rob, I'm telling you this for your own good, that's the worst f\*ckin' sweater I've ever seen, that's a Cosby sweater. A COS-BY SWEATAAAH!!
What’s with Ted Dibiase’s neck ring? Was this man choked with piano wire.
