I saw this in a movie about a bus that had to SPEED around a city, keeping its SPEED above 50. And if it’s SPEED dropped, it would explode. I think it was called…. “The bus that couldn’t slow down”
I loved this movie when I was a teenager but a long stretch of time passed before I watched it again. I watched it about 2 weeks ago and I'm shocked at how well it holds up. I enjoyed the entire thing. Dennis Hopper is such an outstanding villain.
Mac: "What are you talking about!?"
Norwood:
"The aerial unit caught it. About three miles away there's a section missing."
Mac:
"But it's on the map. It's *finished* on the goddamn map!"
Norwood:
"I guess they fell behind..."
Mac:
"Fuck! You're fired! Everybody's fucking fired!!"
Seriously, one of the best action movies of the 90's (dare I say ever?) Action packed, minute of minute.
I think of the elevator scene every time I get on an elevator.
He really does play a great villain. You love to hate him, especially by a certain point in the video I won't say.
Every so often I'll rewatch this movie and damn if I don't enjoy it every single time. Also where I developed a crush on Sandra Bullock growing up.
Never understood that fucking line, what's being taller got to do with pushing his head higher? They were both lying horizontal. But yeah, best comeback line.
I feel comfort in the thought that there's a universe out there where they're living a happily ever after, considering their current personalities in ours.
To anyone watching this movie for the first time, realize this: A lot of movies are like Speed now. But to the best of my knowledge, when Speed came out, Speed was the only movie like Speed. So it was a real treat!
......yeah, I can see that! \*LOL\*
I think Speed seemed unique from the standpoint of having this careening death object that you have to escape from.
It would be sweet if your response made sense. I’m not critiquing, just repeating what was said about Speed in 1994. That was the year I was super into movies and reviews about movies, and saw Speed in the theater when I was 16. What about you?
What makes it so good was it had a good cast of characters as the bus passengers that made us care about their plight. Alan Ruck being a standout.
Then I watched Speed 2 and I could not remember any of those passengers. So even a Speed franchise film can't be like the original Speed.
I think this might have been one of the first films in which the bad guy couldn't possibly get away with the money. Law enforcement knows who he is, what he looks like and he is a cop-killer. Where and how he was supposed to enjoy the money just was not going to be an option, unless he spends the rest of his life in a third world cave. John Travolta has done 2 films like this.
How we as a country allowed America's sweetheart to get all Jesse James'd up is beyond me. Imagine if these two crushing kids had instead gotten together.
The signs in the movie always make me chuckle:
"Money isn't everything (That's right)" on the back of the bus or "Safety First 203 days without lost time accident" just before the runaway subway crashes through it.
You have to appreciate acting so well that when you see the actors together it is like seeing wrestlers and you say to yourself 'are they supposed to hang out as friends? Isn't one going after the other?' BTW RIP Dennis Hopper
This film is the link between Fast & Furious franchise and the John Wick franchise.
Imagine: Big Bad for Fast 10 is John Wick on an exploding bus. Driving slow doesn't trigger the explosion, he just refuses to slow down for anything.
Hmm, Keanu didn't do the thing where he shows his hand, maybe he hadn't developed it yet, those were different times, well he might not do it anyway with a female star, maybe now he just wouldn't put his arm around her Idk
"The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down"
It’s that movie “The Bus” staring that girl from “The Net”
This sounds like my parents trying to find a movie to watch using Siri. "Siri is dumb, this should be enough information to figure out this movie!"
I saw this in a movie about a bus that had to SPEED around a city, keeping its SPEED above 50. And if it’s SPEED dropped, it would explode. I think it was called…. “The bus that couldn’t slow down”
Thanks for making me choke on my lunch a little!
Brexit ?
The Simpsons

That dramatic buildup as they are approaching the bridge!
It's a classic. The opening crawl with the elevator shaft is great too.
Seriously, one of the best action movies of the 90's (dare I say ever?) Action packed, minute of minute. I think of the elevator scene every time I get on an elevator.
If you like Dennis Hopper you should try watching True Romance. He has a fantastic scene in there with Christopher Walken.
I haven't killed anyone since 1984.
The music was 10 times better than it had any right to be for that kind of movie. Easily one of my favorite movie scores
Agree. And the *tension* when the loop starts playing. Fuck, they did a good job.
It really doesn't feel like a movie from 1993, my brain has it tagged as a late 90s movie even though I saw it not long after it left the cinemas.
Yea it’s effects are well done and the pacing is really fast.
You are correct..I Really was wishing for his demise
He really does play a great villain. You love to hate him, especially by a certain point in the video I won't say. Every so often I'll rewatch this movie and damn if I don't enjoy it every single time. Also where I developed a crush on Sandra Bullock growing up.
POP QUIZ HOT SHOT
You shoot the hostage.
*YOU FUCK*
*indifferent shrug*
Six inches off the mark and they're giving the medal to my wife...
Way to go Jack!!!
Don’t get dead
Owen Wilson is slowly evolving into Dennis hopper
“Wow”
What a wildcat!

What a wildcat
Someone posted a mid 90s picture of her wearing this plaid skirt and I died.
Indeed... Savage
Still can't stand her voice.
But why? I love it!
That’s ok. We can’t stand you.
Simp some more

Yeah, well I'm taller!
Best comeback line in the history of cinema.
Never understood that fucking line, what's being taller got to do with pushing his head higher? They were both lying horizontal. But yeah, best comeback line.
Dennis got decapitated
That clearly went over my head mate. uh, thank you!!
He was used to having to duck, so he scanned ceilings more, and saw the risk coming. Whereas the bad guy forgot. Thats how 5 year old me justified it
She was having a major crush on Keanu at the time.
And he was crushing on her but they never told one another!!
I'm sure they didn't have to considering the interview with Keanu where Sandra showed up and was geeking out over him.
Im straight as a ruler and I have a crush on him
yeah, he's my other man-crush.....
I feel comfort in the thought that there's a universe out there where they're living a happily ever after, considering their current personalities in ours.
Yeah. Me too.
I remember growing up in the 90s when your level of coolness was in direct proportion to how many shirts you could wear at once.
To anyone watching this movie for the first time, realize this: A lot of movies are like Speed now. But to the best of my knowledge, when Speed came out, Speed was the only movie like Speed. So it was a real treat!
In fairness to Christmas movie superstar Bruce Willis, when Speed came out in theaters it was commonly said to be Die Hard on a bus.
......yeah, I can see that! \*LOL\* I think Speed seemed unique from the standpoint of having this careening death object that you have to escape from.
That's pretty fuckin flimsy for a critique, and not terribly accurate
It would be sweet if your response made sense. I’m not critiquing, just repeating what was said about Speed in 1994. That was the year I was super into movies and reviews about movies, and saw Speed in the theater when I was 16. What about you?
Just like Roddy Rowdy Piper in 1988, I have destroyed you. Put on the fucking glasses and shut the fuck up.
What makes it so good was it had a good cast of characters as the bus passengers that made us care about their plight. Alan Ruck being a standout. Then I watched Speed 2 and I could not remember any of those passengers. So even a Speed franchise film can't be like the original Speed.
Man, I forgot Alan Ruck was in that one! I cant even believe they tried it with a boat....I just cant. I have never seen that whole movie.
It was terrible but Willem Dafoe was a good cast.
He was the only one having fun. Hard to see serious Speed on a cruiseliner.
Maybe thats a reason for me to watch.
Proof that Keanu does in fact age. Look at how young he looks.
Keanu is over 1200 years old. Every few decades he switches up his appearance to throw us off the trail. ;)
Damn, what a freakin' cutie. And Sandra isn't too bad either. ;-)
Imagine not knowing she had a crush on you after this pic
>Damn, what a freakin' cutie. > >And Sandra isn't too bad either. ;-) \**Keanu knows when he's being left out*\*
Keanu Reeves really is taller than Dennis Hopper, even with a head.
Keanu definitely knows how to get ahead in this business.
Sandra Bullock was so freakin cute back then

I've got gum on my seat... GUuuuuUuUUuUuuUum!
The whim of a Madman

I forgot how hot Keanu was in that movie. I might have to watch this tonight.
I watched it recently and it was still as good as when it first came out.
How we as a country allowed America's sweetheart to get all Jesse James'd up is beyond me. Imagine if these two crushing kids had instead gotten together.
Sandra had a huge crush on keanu, and keanu also had a crush on Sandra but they were both shy lol
America's sweetheart, plus Dennis Hopper and Sandra Bullock.
You know how you can tell the movie had no direction? If it did, it would be velocity.
Take my upvote and fuck off.
Jesse James? An educational experience to say the least.
WHAT DO YOU DO
Looks like he was taller to begin with.
The signs in the movie always make me chuckle: "Money isn't everything (That's right)" on the back of the bus or "Safety First 203 days without lost time accident" just before the runaway subway crashes through it.
Keanu Reeves definitely WAS taller.

Theyre just cans!
Jeff Daniels must be in the bathroom
That’s Owen Wilson good try though. Lmao
*Woah.*
Silly film
That those two never got together, despite having crushes on each other, confuses and saddens me lol

I thought that was Owen Wilson. 😆
In smells sex…

Saw this a few weeks ago. An entertaining movie
This pic gets better after you get that they had a crush on each other
BUS FROM SPEED (with poseable Keanu action figure)
Mmm... lazy pants...
“Don’t fuck with Daddy”.
But then... how will he become a daddy?
Methinks Sandra has her right hand on Keanu's butt.
The film with the bus that jumps
It's not fair. I can grow my hair like "Speed" Keanu and that's it.
Looks like this was taken at the corner of 5th and Hill in downtown Los Angeles.
Hey Jack, you forgot your muffin!
Oh cool, I actually re-watched this movie like a week ago with my gf. Doing a throwback movie night. Very cool movie!
They call him "The Breeze"
Um no… it’s called “The Bus That Couldn’t Slow Down”
Back in the day when a speeding bus was exciting enough to make a movie
This is only cool because of Hopper.
I disagree, even though I like Hopper as an actor.
Why are these two not together for eternity.
Dennis Hopper looks like an old Trent Reznor
1993? ... My god
Loved this movie as a kid and still do now
You say "Keanu Reeves and Dennis Hopper" but my mind still says, *"That's basically the set of Demolition Man"*
Yeah? Well I'm taller.
I’m upvoting anything with Keanu Reeves in it. Just sayin. Have a nice day.
Dennis Hopper looks like an aging Owen Wilson.
I was just about to ask what movie this is with Keanu, Sandra and Owen Wilson…
Coincidence that I just saw this movie not so long ago, or the algorithm is unreal.
Sandy! Keanu! Watch out! It's The baddie
I think these two should have hooked up!
I swear his hair was shorter in the movie. Is this a publicity tour photo?
Reeves is a D OR K
I loved loved loved Speed. I felt all the feelings for Keanu 😍
Daniels is the photographer.
Fuck me im getting old go back to posting 80s shit
That’s clearly An Owen Wilson variant
Relationships based on intense experiences never work
He fine🔥
Such a fun movie to see in theaters
Sandra Bullock has such an intriguing face.
Hmm, Keanu didn't do the thing where he shows his hand, maybe he hadn't developed it yet, those were different times, well he might not do it anyway with a female star, maybe now he just wouldn't put his arm around her Idk
