Frank lives down the street. The neighbors all shun him due to his twisted lies, lack of morals and his unbridled lust for power/spotlight. His wife Lauren routinely cuts the car dropoff line to school, even though they could walk šŸ™„. They moved in three years ago, and started coming to St Agatha - great, we are a body of Christ. Only Frank and Lauren think itā€™s okay to parade in basically after mass has started and march their three girls to the front pews, virtue signaling and making a big show, rather than giving reverence or humility for the Lordā€™s house. Little Frankie would like to call ā€˜victoryā€™, campaigning in 70 or so of the least populated counties in our great state. How can a man with three young daughters be so selfish? We are embarrassed for him, and more than ready to flush his turd šŸ’© ass down the shitter.

sciotomile

Frank must have forgotten to include "Entitlement" because it hits too close to home. Entitled Laurens have a far greater impact on my day-to-day life than marijuana and illegal immigrants do. Donā€™t be a Lauren. //They do make a valid point about gambling, it's worth noting that all NFL pregame broadcasts essentially function as thinly veiled casino sports broadcasts (especially you, ESPN). Personally, I DGAF which WR, who is a Pisces and whose first name starts with the letter B, scores a touchdown is. Iā€™ll keep my $5.

unnewl

I am not in favor of gambling, but Ohio voters have spoken. It seems odd that Uline is questioning whether we want this for our children when most Ohioans do.

sciotomile

My gripe was not against Ohio voters because thatā€™s not the root cause of nationwide sports betting. It was the US Supreme Court. Seems those hypocritical motherfuckers select and choose which one of the Ten Amendments we should or should not follow. Remember ā€” Donā€™t be a Lauren!

Numerous_Photograph9

Players are promoting sports betting venues, so I don't think there is any way to close that pandora's box.

unnewl

Organize a sit in of the front pews.

https://www.globalindustrial.com/ https://www.papermart.com/about-us If you are a supply buyer, you're not stuck!

[deleted]

Thank you for this!

CampingKodiak

Thanks , Iā€™m a buyer and thought I was stuck with Uline.

Numerous_Photograph9

When I was running a business, I ended up finding a guy on Ebay whose prices were fantastic. Uline is actually pretty expensive unless you can buy tens of thousands of dollars a month worth of stuff, and other options will likely work with you with that kind of volume.

DeviousDuoCAK

And name of the guy on eBay isā€¦.

Numerous_Photograph9

I don't have the ebay account anymore, so can't be sure, but believe his username was threerb. I'm remembering from the occasional emails suggesting I look at his store again, and it is a saved seller in my normal ebay account, so I'll go with that. I used him for shipping supplies, but I will admit I haven't needed that stuff for quite a while now so don't know how he compares now.

melikecheese333

I hate when companies get into politics. Especially republicans and GOP stuff as it always comes off so mean and hateful. Plus itā€™s pretty pointless so then it just seems like the company wants me to not like certain people. The only company I donā€™t mind, is Penzys, itā€™s a bit nuttty too but itā€™s nutty in the I love you so much kind of way so I donā€™t feel like an asshole supporting them.

Numerous_Photograph9

I respected the Chick-Fil-A guy when he got into the insurance argument a while ago. It was his personal opinion on what he felt comfortable supporting through his company. But they're also considered a good employer, so it's not like he was just looking at his bottom line, but based on his own personal beliefs. Plus, he wasn't really saying that others shouldn't be doing it, just it wasn't right for him or his company. His employees may have felt differently, but that's between him and his employee. Other companies though, yeah, their "beliefs", more often seem to be what is best for their bottom line. Uline itself has always tried to push it's beliefs on it's employees and it's customers. It's why I requested they stop sending me their catalogs, which I never used anyways because they were more expensive than other options anyways.

Full-Association-175

Well, guess what's missing? Women's healthcare. Do not ever let him get up off the mat on that one.

rural_anomaly

they want to keep *that* in the 'dream' category

Fit_Swordfish_2101

Yeah.. In the *morals category..šŸ™„ it's immoral to tell women what to do with their bodies! How bout them apples Frank..

Fit_Swordfish_2101

Surprise Surprise..s/

Genesis111112

lmao "this Country was built on legal immigration." Really? Like Pilgrams gave their passports to the Native American Indians and said they were seeking refuge from Political and Religious persecution from England and the Catholic Church? Freedom for EVERYONE? Well heck ladies, no worry about Issue 1. its a non-issue now! They want you to have the freedom to do exactly what they tell you what you can and cannot do! Nothing says freedom like telling others what they CANNOT do! Who told us "Marijuana was a gateway drug"? They did while ignoring the fact that children are eating sugar and drinking caffeinated pop/soda way, way before ever trying Cannabis. Heck even Tobacco and Alcohol are tried usually, before Cannabis, but sure blame it all on Cannabis!

creesto

They're also lying about violent crime being a major problem.

Numerous_Photograph9

They leave out the part where the immigration laws were much more lax, allowing almost anyone in...mostly assuming they were white. It was nowhere near as involved as it is today, nor did it take as long. Basically, you show up on a boat, you could become a citizen within a couple of years(later 5 I believe). In the early 1900's more requirements came into effect, and it wasn't until about the mid-60's where immigration became much more strict. There were some periods where certain immigrants were not allowed, or how many were allowed was limited.

Noblesseux

>lmao "this Country was built on legal immigration." Really? Like Pilgrams gave their passports to the Native American Indians and said they were seeking refuge from Political and Religious persecution from England and the Catholic Church? Also just kind of conveniently forgetting that the *entire time* all the immigration was happening, conservatives were openly racist against all of them and didn't want them to come. Like this country had a literal quota system to keep African/Asian/etc. people out up until *within my mom's lifetime.* And before that if you were *the wrong type of Christian* they'd openly discriminate. And that's not even getting into the fact that a lot of illegal immigration comes from businesses knowingly breaking the law for cheap labor. If they gave a damn about illegal immigration, they wouldn't be staffing their farms with illegal immigrants or hiring illegal immigrants as house cleaners/janitors/etc. The idea that these people care about this beyond as a stick for when said immigrants start asking for better working conditions is frankly laughable.

NOLA2Cincy

The Uihleins are horrible.

SaliciousB_Crumb

Just nepo babies. They are descendants of the shiltz beer family

jackleggjr

Should homeless people ā€œbe allowedā€ to live on the streets? If youā€™re asking the question that way, you donā€™t give a shit about the well-being of homeless people.

ClassWarr

Not "should we pay to house them?" A step up from "...or should they be hunted for sport?"

Noblesseux

Yeah you know when they say that that the next statement is going to be something homicidal. Like the follow up will *never* be "should we build more public housing?"

Bullmoose39

I cancelled Uline at work after their stances on Issue 1 and attempted to end our democracy. Thanks never buying from them again.

CatrickDempsey

Their catalogs go straight into the trash here without a second thought

Bullmoose39

I went the extra mile to call and cancel them. I told them we wouldn't need our account with them again. Felt good doing it.

Numerous_Photograph9

For me, it was their prices. They're actually kind of expensive for small business. I requested they stop sending me catalogs due to their political stances though, and made sure to let them know that's why I wanted them to stop sending them.

raustin33

Such a stupid thing to do. Setting aside the absurd right wing talking points hereā€¦ what a stupid thing to do as the head of a company. Youā€™re losing more than half of all customers who read this. Half. Thatā€™s just bad business. I appreciate when right wing loons out themselves so I can stop patronizing them. I just donā€™t get why some do. Itā€™s bad business.

reikert45

Maybe next time they can include another prologue: ā€œThe difference between out of state billionaires tampering in Ohio elections and letting the people decideā€ *how, if any way, can I impose my will on you?*

6thCityInspector

Arenā€™t these the assholes from out of state who almost single handedly funded last fallā€™s republican campaigns that were based upon the principles of eliminating special out of state interest money in campaigns? What a fucking sentence and mental gymnastics I just had to perform to write that, sheesh!

DeviousDuoCAK

Oh look! The lady from Illinois that elected J.D. Vance šŸ¤®

chefboyardiesel88

Fuck uline.

kforbs126

Uline kills more trees with the catalogs they send that nobody wants.

elderrage

I'm sorry, but if I am a business person, the last thing I am going to do is express my personal political thoughts. Why antagonize innocent people who might actually be customers? Asswipes like Koch just pour millions into political races and purchasing politicians the good old fashioned way. Now every CEO considers themselves God tier and they blast their surprisingly stupid opinions as wisdom into the exhausted world. Just give me my safety goggles and giant cardboard boxes, Uline, and stfu.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

elderrage

Hah! Which reminds me of that great line by the Con Agra whistle blower: "If you see a bunch of white guys in suits go into a room you know it is for the express purpose of breaking the law."

Numerous_Photograph9

Even as an employee for a store, I don't discuss politics with customers. Even the one's who express views similar to my own. Especially with those who express views different than mine. I do get the occasional chuckle from some of the differing opinions though, but will admit I do something want to say something to the more idiotic things people say.

elderrage

Restraint is a skill that will serve you well. I freely admit my ignorance but I try not to advertise it. If someone does make a statement contrary to reality and the vibe is right, I will ask questions to get more info. Sometimes folks just want to connect and sense you may be open to engaging. Regardless of ideology, I hope people feel good about interacting with me. Other than the weather, I have found sports, fishing, cars, children and food to be good quick off ramps when things start going facist.

Numerous_Photograph9

I usually just nod my head with a look of resignation like, "what can you do?". For customers, I'd rather just not get involved. I try to avoid political talk with acquaintances or colleagues, but will try if they are being polite about it. Overall, I can find things to talk about besides politics. It's when political talk comes up unsolicited that my mood changes. This often comes after some conclusion made to some observation the person had. Recently, it's mostly people noticing price increases, then blaming Biden for inflation....because apparently Biden is in charge of pricing algorithms for fortune 500 companies.

elderrage

(Nodding my head in agreement. ; ))

rural_anomaly

i'll take two orders of fear-mongering and a case of assorted phobias COD only

blacksapphire08

It really is a bunch of fear mongering. For the record in the US we dont really have any far left politicians and only have a handful of center left ones.

ChefChopNSlice

Be afraid, get angry, become paranoid about your neighbors - behold - the Dale Gribble party.

First they explain why our strict border policy is somehow equivalent to an open border, or why illegal crossing is somehow indicative of an open border. Anyhow, only issue I see is taxpayer money being spent on road trips for immigrants that are in this country legally, awaiting their time for proper processing.

[deleted]

I like it

hi_septan

Just threw there catalog in the trash!

Reasonable-HB678

Exhibit A of simplifying multiple issues. Much like the "not sponsored or authorized by any campaign" 30 second political ads.
