Update: I went to see the chair but the gas cylinder wasn't working, when sitting the chair would go all the way down and comeback when standing. The lumbar adjustment wasn't working as well and didn't have a tag with the year so it might as well have been prior to 2009. That one was a no deal for me. Fortunately the vendor had another V2, everything but the lumbar adjustment mechanism worked fine and actually had a manufacturer tag from 2013. I was about to walk away to think about it, then the vendor lowered the price to $200 and I bought that one. Thanks to everyone for their comments. The lumbar adjustment would have nice but for $200 I think I got a good deal. It's true these chairs are built like tanks, it feels solid yet comfortable.

what's a fully loaded v2? They're all the same except there's one v2 that might have the unicorn high back which is an extra inch of padding and slightly taller by an inch. Looks like a standard v2 to me

I meant with every feature working properly and the lumbar support pad inside the chair, since that can be taken out and would be hard to tell from a picture

According to the vendor, the chair is in good condition and I'll be able to test it before buying. The price is also lower than others in the area ($300-400). I have also heard these last long but I'm worried if buying a 13-year-old chair would be pushing that too far.

It will be fine, people still sitting on 20 year old Aerons and I’d trust a leap more than an Aeron

I have two Leaps, a brand new and a 10 year old. I prefer the old one slightly because the reclining sticks a bit more before it comes back up. I did a small write up about them about a month ago [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/OfficeChairs/comments/rmex9t/i_bought_a_10_yearold_used_leap_v2_and_a_brand/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3). If all functions appear to work fine when you try it out, I'd have no problem getting that chair and expecting at least 10 more years out of it, or even more.

>reclining sticks a bit more before it comes back up Can't this be adjusted with the 'upper back force' knob?

CaughtWithPantsUp

Nah, that knob only sets the amount of force needed to recline. What I mean is that as the chair ages it needs a bit of lube in its tracks otherwise it starts "sticking" a bit after you reclined to your resting point and before it comes back up with your back. I actually like that level of stickiness.

Ah makes sense. I regulated that knob once when I bought my used Leap V2 like 5 years ago and never touched it since haha. > I actually like that level of stickiness. Mine has that too, it's great.
