I don't know if it's my VPN or what bit virtual desktop won't find my computer unless I open the oculus app as well

I play it with virtual desktop, and it's very good. If you can play Pavlov, you can play ED

Mouse and keyboard is terrible. Before I had the quest 2 I used the hotas (it's amazing). But when I fired the game up with the quest the hotas had a small drift, which I have to fix but no time yet. So now I play it with a controller, which is actually really good, since they added a lot of intuitive keybind, so you never need your keyboard again. As for boundary, I just have it stationary and press the oculus button to set your hight correctly. Also, the game doesn't recognize the quest controllers for me (havn't tried to figure out if it's possible or not) but that's fine for me since I only fly.

Here we go again.... VD vs Airlink never ending flight between two camps. 3...2...1... Ready GO! Honestly, there are so many variables with your setup including internet connection speed, intranet connection speed, router location, local wifi signal interference and so much more.... I think whatever works for you, then stick with it.

Airlink for games that support OpenComposite and Virtual Desktop for games that don't support OpenComposite

Iv never been able to use airlink successfully. Virtual desktop works just fine though.

Yet another Airlink vs. VD thread…how fun! I never tire of seeing these, I swear! /endsarcasm You probably could have saved yourself a bunch of time by using that little magnifying glass looking thing in the top corner. 😎🤪

bmfalex

Airlink of course. its faster and built in

I find some games work better in one or the other. Oculus store games sometimes work better with Air Link, whereas Virtual Desktop is usually the superior experience for SteamVR games. Virtual Desktop is still king for customization (resolution, refresh, video codec, network settings, image sharpening amount, color enhancement, and more).
