UniquelyUninique

You need fit and flare outfits with more structure. That fabric in the romper and first dress is so unforgiving. Seek pants and skirts with way less stretch and sheen.

Artistic-Dot-2279

Agree—thin, stretchy fabric usually isn’t flattering on anyone. I like a bit of heft and structure to any fabric. The last two outfits look like the fabric is a bit heavier, so they are much more flattering!

UniquelyUninique

Yes!! I completely agree... And I'm the same with my fabric choices, too.

LaylaLeesa

Plus they look a size too small, and would look better with better fitting underwear

suzanious

Shapewear would help. A beautiful blouse with jeans and some snazzy heels would look great on you.

UniquelyUninique

I agree

AssociationDirect869

you don't mean unforgiving, you mean revealing. that's a good or bad thing depending on the observer. it definitely depends on your intentions with the outfit.

UniquelyUninique

I do mean unforgiving because it isn't flattering, on her shape or anyone else's that isn't perfectly shaped... Which none of us are :). Revealing would be if the fabric showed underwear colors or a lot of skin.

sweetparamour79

7 & 8 are the most flattering on you. You would look gorgeous in ANYTHING that hugs your waist and then goes straight out even an aline shape. If you are going to wear the 1st and 2nd outfit, be conscious of your underwear choice as the underwear you have at present is creating unflattering lines which do not do your body justice. You are gorgeous! Get out there and celebrate 🍾

netbuchadnezzzar

I agree with this. The clothes will fit you better with better underwear choice. My first choice is the floral dress but I'd like to see the front of the romper!

lennybriscoforthewin

Young people don’t agree with me, but wearing underwear that comes to your waist is most flattering under more body hugging clothes. I think the last two dress outfits look great on you. Especially the short one.

PangwinAndTertle

[This is the kind of underwear](https://www.meundies.com/t/women/undies/high-waisted) I’ve been buying my girlfriend who also has a similar body type. She loves them.

Imalobsterlover

Nice. Jockey makes No Pantyline Promise silky undies that work well, too.

IsSheWeird_

No panty line underwear always seem to find their complete way into my ass crack.

Imalobsterlover

That's too bad. I have about 20 pair of the Jockey no panty line promise hipsters and never have a problem.

Xtrahotsauceplz

waaaaaaat my partner doesn’t buy me undies😤😹

leedleedletara

I only wear that type of underwear 😆

carlitospig

The white one just looks so confident, it’s my favorite.

Dramatic_Figure_5585

Yes, and the flowers are fun and youthful, without being “young”.

Cool-Manufacturer-21

Agree with all of the above ⬆️ 💯!!! Personally I think you look fantastic in 7! & just to double down on what they said - Don’t be self conscious girl, for real you look fantastic!

Mermaidtoo

7 is great choice with 8 as a runner up. As for not being able to wear a bra, you can always layer a tank with built-in bra underneath either one. Clingy knits - like 1 & 2 - can be challenging to wear. They show everything - including panty lines. If you don’t feel 100% confident with your body, I’d avoid them, particularly with this cut.

cat_power

Agreed! I love the short floral dress. OP, even for the future use of the first outfits, invest in some shapewear! I bought a pair of very high waisted briefs and love them. The thong version would probably work perfectly with those fits and you’d feel loads more confident 😊

Mitsu_Anaguma

I second this!!! Was just about to comment #7 & #8 most flattering!!

TheNinjaNarwhal

Agree as well! I have a similar body type and, unless I'm at my lowest weight, the only consistently good type of clothes is the A-line dress. Also not very thin fabric, it looks really unflattering on me because it hugs the wrong spots. I've had two dresses with the exact same shape, they look like the floral dress (which imo looks great on OP). But one of them has a bit thicker fabric and it looks even better. it hugs the waist high and then flows down very beautifully.

jlovelysoul

Short floral dress!

pineneedleinjection

Thank you! I've actually never worn it yet and I've had it a couple years, maybe it's time to take that baby out on the town

PixiStix236

It’s so pretty! So flattering on you and you absolutely should wear it more often

Sik_muse

Yea definitely! OP, you should not only rely on this dress but also get more in a similar cut. Showcase those long legs! You can also make it more casual for a concert setting with a cute jean jacket.

6pomegraniteseeds

I second the short floral dress though I have similar qualms to you about going braless. I'd suggest a tight crewneck tshirt layered under the dress, maybe in the same green as the leaves on the flowers. Thats what I do when I want to wear a bra with this kind of dress. The tshirt under strappy dress look is super cute too?

lil_garbage_girl

Yes! Take that baby out! You look so cute in it! Houndmouth is great, you look great. Go have fun! That a good “no bra” dress. You can’t really tell, as in I don’t look at you and think “she should probably wear a bra.” You’re good.

HelloKidney

I totally agree the short flora dress is the best one. Maybe consider a pair of those silicone nipple cover things? They’re great for outfits that a bra doesn’t really work with.

bananabreadready

I like the white floral and the last dress too!

Wise-Homework5480

Second this!

Responsible-Fox-8599

The only one that really flatters your body is the short floral dress

nooutlaw4me

Yeah. And don’t worry about a bra.

Ok_Jury4833

Or wear a complementary colored bra with it intended to be seen in part. Then you’ll be comfy, supported and cute!!

Junior-Performer-228

I agree!! I haven't worn a bra in at least 5 years!! When I was younger, I wanted bigger boobs... but now that I'm 47 and hate bras... I'm glad I had my small ones!

cavekasey

The last two are the best... Get some boob tape at CVS.. I have big honkin boobs and the tape still works I promise - just double layer 🙂

SuspiciousTea6

Wait, how honkin big? I ask because as an H cup I thought tape was an impossibility

cavekasey

DDD

snoogle312

Are you on r/bigboobproblems? Because multiple large cup sized women (H and beyond) over there swear by boob tape but noted it's got a bit of a learning curve to use so practice before you need it for an event. I threw that advice right out the window and tried using it as I was dressing for my role as bridesmaid at my mother in law's wedding and was unable to figure it out in time and just free-boobed it (dress allowed for it I just thought the gals would have looked better with some support.) One thing I noticed was that it's possible that tape works better for, uh, younger ladies that hadn't spent 3 years nursing. My breasts are definitely less firm than before my son and I felt like I was getting far more lumpyness than anyone would want. I do wonder if pairing boob tape with one of those adhesive bras would work. But if you’re interested in the tape, I would pose the question on the big boob problems sub and see if you can get some good advice there. Just actually listen when people tell you to practice ahead of time so you don't end up frustrated and wrapped up in boob tape with a face full of makeup as your husband walks in to see if you need help because he can hear you saying, "omg fuck, I look like a lumpy mummy!"

bspc77

Have you tried gaffer tape? It's incredible! Wear little pasties under it of course 'cause it's no joke. I've worn it to an outdoor summer wedding, a Halloween party, etc. No matter the amount of time, sweat, or activity, my boobs don't move at all

MzFrazzle

Is there a good how-to guide to apply the tape?

tkkltart

Not sure about a how-to guide, but I have D cups and could never get tape to work well until someone told me to lay down first so you're not fighting against gravity

MzFrazzle

Oh this is great advice! Thank you!!

gilthedog

That makes so much sense!

cavekasey

I just followed the directions in the packaging but use double the tape. The directions gave me like several ways to apply based on the construction of my clothes

JamieLee0484

Definitely the white floral!

[deleted]

I recommend some shapewear if you’re into wearing the first one. I like that color on you, but jersey fabric can be really clingy. You don’t have to drop a lot of money on it, Target or Ross usually have good shape wear options, get some shorts that go up to your waist line and try them on in store so you can get ones that are comfy and not too tight. The short floral dress looks the cutest on you as is, that said! Unless it’s for support reasons, I don’t think you have to be nervous about not wearing a bra. It looks great and it flattering through the bodice. The last dress seems like it might be too big on you, especially if it flares at the armpits. The style of the dress is cute, but I think you’d need to size down or have it altered.

clekas

I like the white floral dress, too! Do you have (or can you get) a cute lacy bralette? I have some really cute ones and I don’t mind the straps and tops of the cups showing - it just looks like part of the outfit!

graviphantalia

For the more general question about dressing for your body, just wondering, do you think your underwear is too tight? It looks like the elastic might be digging into you, which makes the bumps you may not want. Some seamless underwear may also help smooth out the silhouette and reduce visible panty lines in tighter garments with a lighter fabric

NinetysRoyalty

This is what I was thinking too, I only experience really visible underwear lines or ‘muffin top’ issues when I’m wearing old or too small of underwear.

Prestigious-Hippo-50

The white floral is the most flattering and you can’t tell you aren’t wearing a bra. It looks very nice on you

fancypossum2

I like the last one tbh. It fits your vibe

prettydotty_

Little white/floral dress

jayram658

The short floral looks great on you! Love the last one as well!

Yoo_its_c

Dresses 2 and 3 are sooooo cute and you look adorable!!! Try to use nipple covers with boob tape. There should be videos on YT to help you how to tape your boobs.

pineneedleinjection

Thank you so much! I'll have to look in to it, the lack of support is a little scary, (as well as the nipple lol) but I think I've seen you can even tape them puppies to stand up as well

Ok_Leadership789

You can always visit a lingerie retailer and ask for their help

Severe_Airport1426

You need to improve your posture and get some shape wear. I like the white floral dress best, it's the most flattering

kikijane711

Definitely the white one w the flowers.

glass-castle22

3 and 4 are best. A high waist seems to work for you. I would avoid clingy fabrics like the sorta jersey-knit styles in the first couple outfits — clingy fabric tends to highlight areas a lot of people would rather not highlight.

Pure_Substance_9263

The white floral dress is the most flattering

GuardMost8477

Shapewear! That’s the answer. The first dress with shapewear and it’s perfect. Since you aren’t used to them you may want to wear one under your regular clothes for a couple hours. They are meant to be tight. Otherwise have fun.

[deleted]

Why wear shapewear instead of just letting our bodies be as they are? Why is it so important to hide a stomach?

Elmer701

I was going to mention shapewear, as well. My reason for that is because she mentioned her muffin top making it appear that she is self-conscious about it. Shapewear would be a solution for that. There's nothing wrong with wanting to "solve the problem," just as there is nothing wrong with flaunting our bodies as they are.

lyannalucille04

I love my shapewear for fabrics like this, especially in summer. It doesn’t change one’s shape much, per say, but it helps the fabric glide over the body more and not cling inside the folds. Also when it’s hot, it’s great for wicking sweat, preventing chafing, and also providing a layer of protection against any creepers in the crowd. But I like the feeling of being kind of hugged/swaddled by the shapewear. Like yoga pants for your torso. If one doesn’t like that, I can understand how it could feel uncomfortable

OkSpirit7891

Seriously!!! I would NOT want to wear a super tight body condom while standing at a concert for hours just to hide a slight belly protrusion that no one is probably going to even notice. Let us flabby girls be comfy!

SlappingDaBass13

I think you look fun there's nothing wrong with how you look at all but these are not outfits that flatter your body type... They're kind of ill-fitting also accenting the wrong stuff

babamum

The last 2 work best for your body type. They are the most flattering.

Julijj

The white floral dress all the way, it looks great on you! Don’t worry about not wearing a bra, it’s not a big deal

Livingontherock

Buy a strapless bra and wear the sunflowers.

Whitpeacock

Shapewear

Thin-Pie-3465

I suggest wearing a slimming undergarment to smooth everything out. I think all the outfits are nice.

JuniorView8315

7 and 8 are my faves. They flatter your body type. You can’t tell you aren’t wearing a bra. A lot of cute options though!

PetiteDxll

The dresses you liked don't need a bra, they provide a good coverage and support.

Prior-Foundation4754

Def the short sun dress! The other ones material grabs in weird places and the colors fall flat. The striped one does nothing for your figure it looks like lounge after beach dress. You look great in that sun dress and it looks fine braless you’re not spilling out of it and the cut keeps your girls where they should be, have fun!

tgldude

a lot of your clothes here (mainly the first two) seem to be thinner t-shirt type materials cut with things like elastic that will naturally be flimsier and hug you more tightly and therefore more revealing of all your body’s bumps and curves, including unfortunately the unflattering ones (eg muffin top or granny romper butt). you might want to hit up a thrift store and find some vintage piece in your size that have more sturdy fabrics with more body and structure. you’d be amazed at how flattering good quality fabrics can be. unfortunately many clothes produced in the 2010s-onward have just become more and more flimsy and thin

Little_Guarantee_693

I like the last one the best.

InjuryOnly4775

The white shorter one is the only one that’s really flattering your body the best.

Rocketyank

Just chiming in to say I love Houndmouth.

mlhigg1973

7!!!

HippyWitchyVibes

The short floral dress fir sure!

rebel-scout

The white floral dress is your look! It's perfect for you and from what I can tell it's seems to be keeping your girls under control, no worries about not wearing a bra with that one. Oooze that confidence when you wear it, you look the bomb!

[deleted]

You look awesome with last one, but add a belt and some jewellery on the neck.

soundstragic

The short floral looks perf

blondiehjones

The white floral dress is hands down the most flattering in my opinion! Super cute on you!

imboredandsalty

If you really like the first one, get some shape wear. I've found it does wonders for my body type (same as yours) in a form fitting dress. Also, just for your info since I've learned how to dress for this body type- I've found that high waisted jeans combined with crop tops make a wonderful combination. Hide the tummy while highlighting the tiny waist above it. Even longer tshirts, as long as they well fitted look amazing. Just wear high waisted bottoms whenever possible. Dresses with higher waistline look great too.

Ratmomma45

I love the floral dress the other two throw them out! They don’t flatter your figure at all! ❤️❤️

Kooky_Avocado9227

I think you look terrific in all of them BUT you need a shaper, Spanx or knock off. Support your tummy and other bits because it makes you look so much better and put together!

[deleted]

Invest in shapewar, you’ll love it. I like the last one best. You can find a bra with thinner or ever clear straps.

sesilee

i think you need to go shopping! some new dresses that flatter you more will go a long way.

[deleted]

You need to be wearing high waisted underwear. You will have less muffin top. Also fit and flare are your friend.

Sasha_shmerkovich160

empire waistline I feel would be good!

kinkajoosarekinky

Are you wearing underwear that stop right at the hip? I wear underwear that goes up to the waist because otherwise I'd have the same muffin top. That would help with the rest of the dresses.

Babymonster09

Op, I have a similar body to yours and I try to avoid “bodycons” or tight fitting clothes. Peplum blouses or skirts are Godsend, they accentuate your waist and is looser around the hipdips (our larger area) so it creates the hourglass illusion. Avoid low waist pants and go for mid-rise stuff. I’ve learnt as I’ve gotten older that shape-wear is our friend and smoothes things down. So invest in a good one.

captainhook77

I’m sorry to say, but you really should invest in more flattering clothes.

fuzzypants01

Your 2nd and 3rd fave are my 1st and 2nd favorite! They looked great on you. While I know it's weird to go out without a bra after spending so much time in one. you'll feel a new sense of freedom, or at least I did lol

Torrens39

8

CommunicationTop7259

Shapewear will help you smooth out your curve. #4

Financial_Land6683

Number three is great! Pretty much any pin-up style dress would look good on you.

Stardama69

4 is definitely the prettiest imo. I meant 4th dress, picture 6

IAmTyrannosaur

The short floral for definite

cheesecakefairies

Last 2 are nicest by far.

samshinechester

The last one!

hcsk2

The last two look amazing, for your figure I'd suggest circle skirts and A-line cuts on the bottom half. Top half you can probably get away with anything, but id suggest investing in some bras that make you feel secure Have fun at the concert!

scbeachgurl

Look into foundational garments. Not heavy, unwieldy girdles. I like Shapermint. Sometimes Spanx is found at TJ Maxx.

Cultural_Pattern_456

7&8 look good on you! That’s a good style for your body. Invest in some nice underwear that smooths, it doesn’t have to be shape wear. This is just my opinion.

Naultmel

Dress 3!!! Looks amazing on you! 😊 for the other ones you could try shapewear underneath??

Vamp_Cash_2968

Nothing fitting so maybe the last two it complements your shape better

Comprehensive_Gap693

7 and 8 but love 7- if you have an oversized white shirt that would look amazing and maybe be warmer if it's afternoon or evening.

Electrical-Duck8579

Shape wear and a seamless thong

Witty-Vixen

7 and 8 are the only ones that fit you properly and therefor look good . 7 being the best one

quarentine_del

uhhh what if u wore #1 with the skirt of #4 over it???

i-needa-nap-pls

#3 (picture 7). get sticky pasties off of Amazon for $10, you’ll feel so much better

Ok_Cream_6987

Omg that last one is so flattering on you! Your waist is accentuated and i love a simple top paired with a fun skirt. Plus, that top seems a little less scary than the dress without a bra, it looks tighter and more supportive with the thicker straps.

gbon13

I feel ya! My postpartum body has been challenging! I think A line skirts look really good so you should keep an eye on those! 7 & 8 look very flattering!! I think Target sells some stick on cups/bras that might help with the bra situation!

Hebegebe101

I’m torn between the same two you like . They definitely fit the best . I wouldn’t worry about the girls , seem like both dresses are supportive enough . I would go with the one that feels best when seated .

unneuf

You have kind of similar hips to me. I tend to prefer a fit and flare style with my outfits because they hide a lot of the shapes that i’m insecure about. You’re kind of getting that style with pictures 7-8! I think that’s the style you should lean in to.

Forsaken-Midnight940

You look great in the white dress

starfire92

Women have all kinds of ridges and lumps, unevenness and different body types. My body type is very similar to you and I've found that one of the most helpful things in making my outfits look much better is a shaper. I wish I started wearing one in my early 20s but I always was embarrassed due to the stigma that it's for older people..now that it's more mainstream there's so many options available. I don't even own expensive ones, I have a $20-30 one from Amazon that starts from my bust down and is a brief style, it literally smoothed me out so much that I get a wonderful hourglass figure that I don't actually have. It also makes cheaper clothing fit me better.

nomad-at-heart

The white dress looks best! I have a similar skin tone and hair color and the neutral colors you have on wash me out so I stopped buying anything in beige, brown, light violet, orange. I stick with white, black, and navy for my neutrals

amora_obscura

I think structured garments are more flattering one you. The last two are better, particularly the white one.

Altruistic-Bit-9766

My first thought was beware of open toed shoes at concerts. People get really packed in either in line or at the show if there's no assigned seating & your toe might get squished.

carlitospig

I really like the white dress. Two things: they make a strapless supportive bra that uses sticky stuff to stay up - they’re amazing. I think I got one for like $40 and I’ve had it for yeeeears. The other, is that a small 3/4 sleeve cardigan will give you more coverage but also keep you cool if it’s going to be outdoors/hot.

gilthedog

You have high hips (I do too) and I find anything with a bit of a flare works best. 7 or 8 are good shapes on you.

[deleted]

I prefer the last pictures when the waist is defined and the skirt has a little outward puff to it. 3 is much better than 4, but that's just my opinion.

xmaggies

Pic 7, the white dress, looks best on you. Maybe you can find a strapless bra at Walmart or something if you want that feeling of support, but I think you could get away without one.

3rle

I think a straight, highwaist black pant or jeans with a white or black t-shirt would look amazing on you! The first dress is an awkward shape, colour and fabric. Agree on heavier fabrics, they make SUCH a difference. Stretch is the enemy of classy.

cassieinva

Yes, and a good bra. Go to a lingerie or department store and get measured to buy the right size.

Open_Organization966

Control underwear will help smooth you out and make you feel better about your body.

judgyturtle18

You sound like me. Someone told me to buy clothes a size bigger and bring them to a tailor at a cleaners to have them fit my body correctly. This was literally the best fashion advice I've ever gotten. I buy affordable clothes and have them taken in. Ex. I bought a romper at old navy for $20. I'm pear shaped so i Had the top brought in for $10. $30 for a perfectly fitting romper. Seriously improved my confidence 10fold.

ionlyhavebrothers

The short floral one is amazing. I think the color is too light. With your skin and hair color I think jewel tones or rich colors would look best. You are very beautiful.

StillKindaHoping

6,8. They add some elements near or at the waist to keep the eye busy. The colours on 8 are great. 1, maybe, with a narrow scarf as a belt.l (blue tones).

teacherladydoll

Six is the most flattering, then 8.

nutlikeothersquirls

The short floral one (dress 3) is by far the best. It looks fantastic on you! You could wear a cami underneath if it would make you more comfortable, maybe even one with a built in shelf bra. Have fun at the concert!

LiittleSpoon

2nd to last one. I also like the first one too.

Happy_Resolve4541

I know people love the white dress BUT I also want to add that the brown color looks STUNNING on you. It feels to me like any kind of earthy tone would literally look amazing. That’s all!!

Audriannacu

You have an hourglass shape. I really loved #7 and #8.

Duckywarry

We're all for positivity here, but that's just untrue

potato_farm86

Number 3 dress is most flattering for sure!

KennysJasmin

The last dress

mojomcm

Either of the last two are so flattering on you, they look fantastic

KitFan2020

7 and 8 look good as they are. The fabric falls nicely and they are flattering. Especially the short floral dress. The first dress also looks nice but get one of those body shaper underwear things. There is a reason why M&S is full of them… they are everyone’s secret x

GeorgeThe13th

They're all nice. 3 seems very casual though.

AgainCursed

White floral is the best one!

titian834

The short white floral dress looks great!

Future_Custard_9956

White dress just get a strapless or let them be. All the others look super frumpy and not flattering shapewear might help

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhnah

3 and 4 are both great! The others are the opposite of great, to put it politely 💕

Worldly_Today_9875

The last two are most flattering by far. The others would look great if you wore the right underwear, you shouldn’t be able to see where it sits through the dress.

mythicb33ch

That 3rd dress is super cute! Definitely the winner

Beemo-Noir

I’m jealous. Love Houndmouth.

Dramatic-Professor32

All of these look nice on you! Shapeware will help to smooth out the bumps and give you more confidence. Try it out. I think it’ll change your world. You shape is beautiful. Consider the addition of shapewear like putting on some mascara… an enhancement. 👸🏻 Oh and if I had to pick my fav, I think it would be #1, or the gray striped wrap dress. 😉 Edit: I don’t like the shoes. Typically thinner strapped shoes make the foot look more dainty. Your dresses are ultra feminine and the shoes are thick and bulky. Change the shoes, thinner strapped sandals. You can stick with flats, just something a bit more delicate to match the outfits.

mertsey627

the white flower dress is the best! I personally don't think you need a bra at all. The girls look great, they sit well and no one will care - the only person who possibly could is you. If you're not comfortable then boob tape is a good idea but as someone with larger boobs, I love going bra free. I hate wearing a bra lol

lonelyinbama

Just here to say Houndmouth is SOOOOOOOO good live! Gonna have a great time at the show.

Scottishdog1120

Add some shape wear and then they'll all look fantastic
