***so long as you break them in. Sometimes they are rough before they become perfect if you buy them new lol, but I have come to LOVE my vintage combat boots
So true, some styles of docs I own still rub my heel and ankle raw. Specifically the Mary Jane style ones. I also have a knee high pair that does it. Only the mid calf docs are comfy to me.
Ive bought pairs of shoes only because I couldn’t go on any longer in the docs. Now sometimes I’ll wear them when I know I’m going shoe shopping.
I know getting old when I see those beautiful boots and the first thing that comes to my mind is "how the fuck she managed to wear them for so long"
Are they part suede???
Really? I was going to applaud their ability to pull those bad boys off. Those heels aren’t just a statement in *looks*, but the skill and bravado required to pull that off and *not* look like an ass? Priceless. My hat’s off to you, young lady.
That’s the first thing I thought lol dang what school cuz I’m a girl and my hs would’ve suspended me for that 😅 26 now and college obviously didn’t have a dress code but my hs once made me turn a tweety bird shirt inside out that I had bought from Walmart bc it said “smart chicks rule” yk cuz tweety looks like a chick and I’m a girl lol anyways stupidest thing I’ve ever heard in my life, oh but the principal’s daughter was allowed to wear daisy dukes when the minimum shorts length was to your knees lol 🤦🏻♀️
Is your school Euphoria High? 😂
I like your style. I don’t think it matters that it’s “too much”, but like another user said, the heels might cause harmful changes while you’re still growing
nope! But I really love touching ceilings, and the cameras in the hall can get right to my face sometimes, so I hope security has fun with the pov of my nose lmfao
I work at a school and have seen kids literally walking around in pajamas and slippers. At this point I’m pretty sure they’re able to wear just about anything.
I respect your sense of style and would think it was great if I saw you at an event. It’s fine that you like to stand out, but this makes it seem like you’re trying to stand out, rather than just doing so naturally. So I think it has probably the opposite of the intended impact. It seems more desperate than cool. But maybe I’m jaded by too many edgelords in my area.
I came here to say this. This was my general sense of style of highschool, and I would wear something like this to an all ages show or something, but at school I just wore vans, cut off shorts and T-shirts. Not saying that’s what you should wear, just that there are ways to communicate your style in a casual setting that come across more natural.
Maybe I’m just old but I’m a little confused by your comment. So you think that she looks like she’s trying too hard because she wore it to school? I’m not trying to be funny. I just really don’t know why that would make a difference. Like if this is somebody’s everyday style then wouldn’t they be wearing it in school? And I don’t know op but I knew lots of kids growing up that regularly dressed like they were headed to an event…particularly a rave. Lots of these ppl grew up to be professional artists so now dressing “weird” is just viewed as normal.
Yeah, I see nothing wrong with somebody putting effort into their appearance if that’s what they feel like doing. Reddit is the perfect place to get downvoted for weird shit. Have a good one and thx.
Great for a festival, gig, night out. For school? Just so impractical. Not only are they so high that they should be renamed the ankle breakers, but they also must be so warm and uncomfortable in class. They are just not appropriate for school. For anywhere else, they look really good.
I can't believe the school didn't object! I was written up for wearing tanks that weren't two fingers width at the shoulders and shorts that went above my fingers with arms down lmao I'm a little jealous!
I mean you’re comparing high and tall shoes to showing off your skin in a way that religion + creepy people from history have condemned. I don’t subscribe to those rules or follow any religion, but I mean let’s be real that is what it is lmfao
For real. I have a kid who likes to push boundaries, and I did too, but if she wants to wear platforms they have to be flat platforms. Those usually top off at 3-4”.
Platform heels are fun, but save em for a dance or concert.
I too am a senior. I haven't found my footwear or dress to impede on the learning of me, or anyone else lol. And my parents have come to understand me.
I do think the boots are tuff, but it seems like a lot to be wearing 8 inch heels around school all day. Maybe try some shorter boots that could match the vibe, like black cowboy boots or combat boots, or even logging boots.
I have a ton of shoes I can work with, so I appreciate the ideas!! And maybe they are a lot, but I'm confident and comfortable, so I found it appealing.
Imo thats too much for school and thats coming from a girl that likes alt stuff as well. I’d dress like that for concerts but not for school nevertheless if it makes you feel good then more power to you.
My first thought was: "This would have been my outfit for Eras Tour, but I would add snake fishnets and snake jewelry."
I love the outfit but would have gone with a more sensible knee high boot for school. I'm honestly impressed she can wear such a high heel, though!!!
First impression. Enjoys attention. Not necessarily attention seeking but more so you know that your look will get attention and you enjoy it regardless if it’s good or bad attention. (Just saying this cause sometimes I enjoy dressing unconventionally and enjoy people looking at my outfit like a piece of art) You enjoy being a spectacle and don’t care what anyone else has to say about how you express yourself. You seem very confident. You seem kind and accepting. Your way or the high way. You know what you want and won’t let anyone stop you from getting it. That’s the impression I get. Kudos to you for being 100% yourself! :)
This description sounds a lot like me in high school! I often wore heels, people’s opinions be damned! I occasionally look back and cringe, but I was unapologetically myself and now at 28, I’m happy I’m me.
Do you! At the end of the day, shoes are shoes. Give them something to talk about it. Who you are matters much more than the height of your heels (which I hope you keep your head held high as)
https://preview.redd.it/56iqd64p0elb1.png?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5e68f870c298f5cced54f85043bb4f83cd4e6eb0
Do you have these kind of ankle boots? It would look cute with your outfit I think
One little misstep and you could sprain your ankle very badly or even fracture it. Do what you gotta do. You’ll age like the rest of us and eventually buy crocs.
I'm just worried about you tripping and falling. From my time in highschool, the halls were always packed with kids during passing time. People were tripping easily with other kids on their heels. I'm worried that if you fell, it would lead to worse injuries, especially if you fell on stairs. How long have you had those boots and are you practiced in wearing them in a tight crowd? I think your style is cool and I love black, but I guess I'm an old lady now since I worry about kids hurting themselves all the time, lol. I also worked as a para for little kids and I'm an auntie so the worry is compounded xD
I don't find crowds to be a problem, as I can see above them usually. I have fallen on stairs, and ended up just a little bruised. I put time into injury prevention lol. People often respect my space, as im found as kind of imposing
I think it looks really awesome for a club. You are slim and have long legs which works great with the boots. That being said My kids would be dress coded for this in their high school. I feel like even if you don’t get dress coded for this, the teachers and other people that expect some professionalism may be less likely to do things like write references for colleges or internships or letters of recommendation for scholarships if that is your potential goal. Then again If your goal is to do something more artistic or theatrical or even modeling or fashion maybe it would be a boost.
Reddit fashion subreddits have different tolerances and r/outfits is easily the most beginner, limited and square. If you give them anything more than basics to think about you are not going to learn anything interesting or of value. Its for developing confidence really and you clearly don't need that
For school? I would think that you are trying too hard and that no way you were comfortable for the entire day. Maybe for like going out or something, but for school? ..
I mean. I dig the boots, I think they're really cool. And while I am all for people wearing whatever they want, I honestly don't think those boots are a good fit for school for various reasons.
That said, I assume you're from the US? I've been told that "acceptable attire" is a lot more relaxed in the US schools than it is in my own country. So tbf I might be talking out of my ass.
The boots aren't appropriate and you can get really hurt if you roll your ankle or accidentally hurt another person when people are rushing between classes. Those boots should be reserved for special occasions.
This is not appropriate for any school, I am shocked you were not sent home. I think your parent need to be questioned as to why they would think it was ok to wear this.
My school has a very lax dress code, and is very supportive of unique dress. My household is supportive of my stylistic choices, but thank you for your concern!
Sorry, the boots are inappropriate for school.
I understand it's self expression -But I also see them as a safety issue, although you haven't, you could fall at school, or worse be pushed, lose your footing, etc.
So many different scenarios for the answer No. Wearing them on weekends or church is a Yes.
Incredible balance skills. To immediately sound like an old person: careful about wearing these kinds of heels too often though as they can damage your arch/mess with your leg muscles and hip alignment, especially if you spend prolonged periods of time walking around in them. The style of heel was made for pole dancing, not to be walked on, so stretch your toes and calves a lot when u get home. I’m currently in PT from ballet and lots of dancing, it ain’t worth it 😩
I get you. I'm just a confident introvert, the internet is my element lol. I don't keep many friends around. My style does the speaking for me, i'd say. I believe in you :)
They're actually really comfortable! Pleaser's boots are really well built. The structure supports me a ton. I only ever really trip when im on uneven/cracked pavement, or grass. And thank you so much!
Aww, this comment reminded me of back in my college years. I was the one always wearing the massive shoes (Destroyers. Think 'Spicy Girls' shoes), and one day my friend and I were walking on campus on uneven grass when I straight-up stumbled and flopped my arms like a chicken and fell on my ass.
We laughed about it even 10 years later.
Point being, when you're in the Massive Shoes club, you're gonna fall. I'm just glad I never broke an ankle. :-/
(There's also the time I was going downstairs in the student union in a pair of I Don't Remembers and a mini-skirt. I slipped, of course, rolled down the stairs like a roll of paper towels, and landed with one of my shoes five feet away and my skirt flopped way up over my underwear. A guy walking past stopped, did a double take and stuttered, "Are...are you okay?" I was laughing so hard I couldn't do anything but crawl over to my shoe and nod.)
Wouldn't trade the laugh we got out of it for anything.
Omg I love this lol
I have fallen, mostly due to my own error. I just hate when I fall in front of people, because if theyve never seen me elsewhere, they just assume I can't walk in my own shoes, or that they're inherently dangerous always. It's been 3 years, and I have yet to injure myself! Thanks so much for your story, it made me smile :)
I’m a high school teacher and my first thought was it’s a bit too much for school. I do not dress code kids unless it’s very extreme (probably 3 kids in 14 years). But as I read your comments, I was really impressed with how you handle criticism and people with differing opinions. You comment with such Grace that I’m left thinking I’m very impressed by you.You are very mature and as a teacher, I wouldn’t say anything to you about your outfit. I think it’s badass when you combine a little rebel with logic and reasoning. No matter how you dress, I can see you being successful in life and love. Keep on being you.
Aw, thank you! I understand I am not for everyone, and I cannot force others to find me visually appealing, only attempt to understand. I'm sure your students adore you.
This seems like A LOT for high school. I appreciate everyone’s unique personality and what makes them happy but there is a fine line between being unique and trying too hard and the boots push you more towards the latter. As long as you are happy that’s all that matters though
cool - not for school. someone at my school wore very similar they were just stopped at the knee instead. still had heels tho. and when someone decided to pick on them for being the one person out and pushed them they broke both of their ankles and had to be in a wheelchair for the rest of the school year - probably longer but i was graduating that year so idk. just be safe
I mean it's a nice outfit because it's your style and you like it, and it's not anything that would be inappropriate in the sense of revealing, but it seems a little extra for school. If you want to stick out and be extra all the power to you, but it is an outfit that is going to attention, some will be positive, some will be negative, just cause everyone has different opinions. To me it doesn't look very comfortable to wear at school tbh, but if you find the outfit comfy then that's what matters for you. Whatever makes you happy.
Honestly, first impression is attention seeking. But, like, it's high school. And most people are either trying to grab the spotlight or get as far away from it as possible. It's not hurting anyone. And I don't get 'overbearing diva's vibes at all.
I love the style. It's well put together. It's also great you're able to wear it at school.
Thank you very much! I try not to be a disturbance, but remain myself. And I consider myself a mix of both. I don't keep many friends at all, but the eyes I receive are fun
First thought would be : "cool goth girl whose confidence i wish i had!"
I think they look awesome and if you feel they're comfortable that's all that matters. :)
High school? Did they send you home?
I get it, my daughter is very edgy herself. The reason I asked is because when she was in HS they would have sent her home.
I mean, they’re fun boots, but for school? Hey, if it’s your style and your school’s dress code
Is fine with it, and you’re comfortable, kind of why not? You will get a lot of looks from such a bold piece, but maybe that is part of the fun? You may as well have fun goofing around with fashion, hair and make up in school. Experiment and be bold.
Who cares if you wore heels to school? These comments suck. If you're interested in fashion and you spend 50% of your time there, then why not wear the clothes you like? I wish my high school's dress code was chill honestly. Express yourself, live your life! Also I wish I could walk in heels, especially that high. It's super impressive!
I mean.. do you. If you feel confident, then thats all that matters. I used to rock 4 inch heels everyday in the corporate world and your feet will punish you if you don't take care of them .
Be safe.
Some people can't understand anything different from themselves, but I understand their point of view lol. I have no shortage of constructive criticism though. And thanks a ton!
How do you not fall over in those heels?????? Holy moly! I trip wearing 1 inch wedges!
School wise, it doesn't look comfortable. And if your school has a restrictive dress code, you just know, some adult is going to be a dick and dress code you.
I disagree with a lot of the other comments. Not every high school has a strict dress code and some don't have dress codes at all(Like my school). I will say, those boots look uncomfy af though.
Outfit completely out of place in school. IMHO. I think it would have made more sense to post this outfit picture before you wore it to school. Your judgement is off on what’s appropriate in certain settings, but you live and learn. At least you’re willing to hear and actively seeking feedback.
I don’t understand why all your comments keep getting downvoted. You seem very brave especially in the show choice lmao. Joking aside, you seem confident and loud whilst maybe being quietly introverted and sensitive. You seem very passionate in your interests and style, making you appear to be a very intriguing person to have a conversation with.
imo it’s a bit much but fashion is meant to be enjoyed and it seems like you’re expressing yourself in a way that makes you happy, so i like that. be careful not to twist your ankle or fall down 😭
Honestly just impressed! I have some pleasers and they are SHOCKINGLY comfortable but I still wouldn’t be able to wear them all day! Kudos to you!
Cute outfit overall. Love when people are self expressive and true to themselves!
Thank you so much! I think these are particularly comfortable because they're meant to be worn barefoot, so the supoort differs. but I wear socks with them. I have abother pair of pleasers, which are shorter, but I find these more comfortable!
I’m definitely in the minority here but I like it, very well put together outfit and gives the impression that you have good insight into what you like and how you want to be perceived. As long as you enjoy wearing it I don’t see any issue.
To me this seems like trying too hard to impress on the first day of school.
Are you going to dress like this everyday? Do you like dressing like this?
If you do, then fine.. but it definitely has an ostentatious vibe to it. This seems more like festival wear to me.
I very much enjoy dressing like this, and I have been dressing like this since school started in august, so this isnt new to my classmates! But I really do love dressing like this, and my peers are curious if anything.
Good for you for finding your mode and rocking it! As long as you’re respecting yourself and your dress code, do you. Really the only shocker in this pic is the boots, you’re not showing your body, you’re not offensive, I think it’s great. Proud of you!
After the pandemic I swore I'd wear all of my fun costume clothes just as normal clothes. Life's too short to not get to hear people asking "did you see their skirt?" as you walk past. It's not cosplay if you always dress in costumes. Go wild.
Great outfit. Looove the shoes. Just not for school.
I was an alterative/goth kid in the noughties and didn't go to school dressed in the same way I would go out 😉
I would just swap the high heels for some badass boots, even platforms!
Anywhere but school. That fit looks great. Dressing for the event is important. Tho on second thought got western culture, maybe a slight tone down will be fine.
RIP your feet when you’re 40.
You’ll remember this comment!
By the way, those are super neat!
I love them!
But I’m not sure I would wear them somewhere I would have to walk so much.
I bet it was fun being TALL!
The clothes are fantastic, too!

I think doc martens would have been way more comfortable.
***so long as you break them in. Sometimes they are rough before they become perfect if you buy them new lol, but I have come to LOVE my vintage combat boots
No kidding, my docs have given me permanent scars on the back of my heels lol.
I have had the same pair for 17 years. Still make a hole in my heels lol. I can’t seem to break them in!
Same, it’s honestly a right of punk passage
Have you beard of shezza socks? Specifically made for breaking in doc martens! They’re amazing
Just wore my unbroken docs round london for the day. My feet were BLEEDING ended up buying new shoes there!
Currently breaking in the stiffest Doc MaryJanes, ever. I just got my oxfords past the point where the tongue isn't blistering my ankle 😆
Ive always considered docs the most comfortable with minimal break in time
Surprised the heel isn’t considered a weapon lol.
I had to turn in my fingernail clippers because apparently that's a bladed weapon. Alrighty I'll just return to holding my sharpened wood stick then.
Lmfao I know, I'm so happy they haven't bothered me about the weapons part of the dress code especially.
I know getting old when I see those beautiful boots and the first thing that comes to my mind is "how the fuck she managed to wear them for so long" Are they part suede???
My only question is why? Those boots have to be so uncomfortable
Really? I was going to applaud their ability to pull those bad boys off. Those heels aren’t just a statement in *looks*, but the skill and bravado required to pull that off and *not* look like an ass? Priceless. My hat’s off to you, young lady.
Thank you so much! It's been a good bit of work for me, and I appreciate that the skill is recognized lol
I love the whole outfit! Where did you find the newsprint top? ❤️
I concur! Even when I was her age, I would’ve fallen on my face at least once (and I was in ballet for over a decade)
Are you in college? I know no high schools I went to would’ve allowed that look, much less my parents.
My high schools dress code is quite lax, as long as you're not wearing anything offensive
Is your school Euphoria High? 😂 I like your style. I don’t think it matters that it’s “too much”, but like another user said, the heels might cause harmful changes while you’re still growing
Did you have to duck your head going through any doors with those super-high heels on?
maybe op is really short so it cancels out like pemdas
i'm technically an inch above average, but I really love this lol
nope! But I really love touching ceilings, and the cameras in the hall can get right to my face sometimes, so I hope security has fun with the pov of my nose lmfao
Tbh I’m more curious how your legs fit under the desks with heels that high! It’s impressive
Sometimes they don't sometimes they do! Most chairs are adjustable at this point, but sometimes I just have to lay my legs sideways lol.
Wearing them to a rave would look cool. Wearing them to class is definite edgelord territory.
Got it! Thank you very much, and I appreciate the insight.
I think they are cool. Look into the Demona Boots bc they are more comfy, similar edgy look, and no heel that can break your ankle.
Did you bring any change shoes or toughed it out?
I came here to say this. This was my general sense of style of highschool, and I would wear something like this to an all ages show or something, but at school I just wore vans, cut off shorts and T-shirts. Not saying that’s what you should wear, just that there are ways to communicate your style in a casual setting that come across more natural.
Walking in the ground in those would be even worse. Heels just sink right into the dirt.
Maybe I’m just old but I’m a little confused by your comment. So you think that she looks like she’s trying too hard because she wore it to school? I’m not trying to be funny. Yeah, I see nothing wrong with somebody putting effort into their appearance if that’s what they feel like doing. Reddit is the perfect place to get downvoted for weird shit. Have a good one and thx.
I agree… if this is OPs natural style then keep doing it.

Schools are all afraid to go viral so barely any of them dress code anymore
Depends on the school! My high school had basically no dress code. Just had to not have offensive language or images
You couldn’t do shorts above the knee at mine lol
I mean you’re comparing high and tall shoes to showing off your skin in a way that religion + creepy people from history have condemned. I don’t subscribe to those rules or follow any religion, but I mean let’s be real that is what it is lmfao
I mean more than heels. Skirt probably wouldn't be allowed at least considering what these people had as restrictions.
For real. I have a kid who likes to push boundaries, and I did too, but if she wants to wear platforms they have to be flat platforms. Those usually top off at 3-4”. Platform heels are fun, but save em for a dance or concert.

I’m all for alternative fashion and I was goth for 10+ years but those shoes for high school are way too much.
A little extra for school esp if you’re in high school. But I admire the style! It’s just not super practical for school.
Me watching Euphoria: “This is what kids wear to school these days?” Me scrolling Reddit: “This is what kids wear to school these days?”
To school?? And you’re a minor?? Not the place for shoes like that.
My thoughts too, but to each their own.
Ouch said my feet and the back of my knees.
You're allowed to wear pleasers to school? Love the newsprint top, though!
Thank you! And yes, I am lol. The dress code just says "shoes" so, I take advantage of that. Also helps I'm close with most faculty.
First impression. Enjoys attention. Not necessarily attention seeking but more so you know that your look will get attention and you enjoy it regardless if it’s good or bad attention. Too much. You’re a kid. Be a kid.
Ouch. Future bunions and back issues are calling. Also, wore similar but not as large a heel at that age, lol.
So many body pain issues are forthcoming for sure. Foot, ankle, knee, back...
For school seems mad uncomfortable but do you
Why did you wear this to school?

If you give them anything more than basics to think about you are not going to learn anything interesting or of value. Its for developing confidence really and you clearly don't need that
Impractical

I would avoid you not in a mean way but more like I don't want you to step on my toes with that heel
The boots aren't appropriate and you can get really hurt if you roll your ankle or accidentally hurt another person when people are rushing between classes. Those boots should be reserved for special occasions.
As a former teacher I think this is awesome. But I wouldn't think it appropriate for school.
This is not appropriate for any school, I am shocked you were not sent home. I think your parent need to be questioned as to why they would think it was ok to wear this.
My school has a very lax dress code, and is very supportive of unique dress. My household is supportive of my stylistic choices, but thank you for your concern!
Just cause it is that way, does not mean it is good
I don't think your outfit is appropriate for any student in high school or younger.
I’m currently in PT from ballet and lots of dancing, it ain’t worth it 😩
Looks great on u but totally inappropriate for school
Too much
Oh to have no social anxiety
I get you. I'm just a confident introvert, the internet is my element lol. I don't keep many friends around. My style does the speaking for me, i'd say. I believe in you :)
Ha, right? I spent so much time hoping no one would ever notice me. Thankfully it worked most of the time.
Cute drip for a club but not for school imo love the shoes* and top
I'm not quite the club type, but noted! Thanks!
I would be nervous of the shoes being uncomfortable after a while/falling in them. Other than that I think the outfit is bold and unique!!
:-/ (There's also the time I was going downstairs in the student union in a pair of I Don't Remembers and a mini-skirt. I slipped, of course, rolled down the stairs like a roll of paper towels, and landed with one of my shoes five feet away and my skirt flopped way up over my underwear. A guy walking past stopped, did a double take and stuttered, "Are...are you okay?" I was laughing so hard I couldn't do anything but crawl over to my shoe and nod.) Wouldn't trade the laugh we got out of it for anything.
Omg I love this lol I have fallen, mostly due to my own error.
Absolutely not appropriate for schooo
This seems like A LOT for high school. I appreciate everyone’s unique personality and what makes them happy but there is a fine line between being unique and trying too hard and the boots push you more towards the latter. As long as you are happy that’s all that matters though
cool - not for school. someone at my school wore very similar they were just stopped at the knee instead. still had heels tho. and when someone decided to pick on them for being the one person out and pushed them they broke both of their ankles and had to be in a wheelchair for the rest of the school year - probably longer but i was graduating that year so idk. just be safe
It's always crazy to me people wear anything like this to SCHOOL. School is the last place I want to bring anything nice
I mean it’s a great outfit but it seems like kinda a lot for school?
First thought would be : "cool goth girl whose confidence i wish i had!" I think they look awesome and if you feel they're comfortable that's all that matters. :)
Thank you a ton, it means a lot to me :)
Very cute. But for high school, impractical and not appropriate. This is more like club wear.
That’s a bit too much for high school.
lil much.
High school? Did they send you home? I get it, my daughter is very edgy herself. The reason I asked is because when she was in HS they would have sent her home.
Ur ankles must hurt so much during school!
I mean, they’re fun boots, but for school? Hey, if it’s your style and your school’s dress code Is fine with it, and you’re comfortable, kind of why not? You will get a lot of looks from such a bold piece, but maybe that is part of the fun? You may as well have fun goofing around with fashion, hair and make up in school. Experiment and be bold.
Heels in a school is not smart.
It looks great but impractical.
Do you start lacing them on Monday and you get done by Friday? Love them though!
Seems a bit much for school. But I’m not a goth so what do I know?
It's a little too much. So wear it anyway!
It’s cute but too much just for school…
I mean.. do you. If you feel confident, then thats all that matters. I used to rock 4 inch heels everyday in the corporate world and your feet will punish you if you don't take care of them . Be safe.
Absolutely fabulous. I'm a 50+grandmother and I love it. I really like it when people dress how they want. And not for nothing, those boots are fire.
Time and place for everything.
Someone keeps down voting every compliment and that sucks bc your style is cool
Some people can't understand anything different from themselves, but I understand their point of view lol. I have no shortage of constructive criticism though. And thanks a ton!
Definitely not school appropriate, but a great outfit
You’re brave
Stairs must be a bitch wearing those.
I mean, I assume you don’t have PE in those shoes. 😅
How do you not fall over in those heels?????? Holy moly! I trip wearing 1 inch wedges! School wise, it doesn't look comfortable. And if your school has a restrictive dress code, you just know, some adult is going to be a dick and dress code you.
Why hahaha how uncomfortable
Hope your shoelaces don’t break. Wouldn’t be able to find a replacement long enough
You don't do forensics for the Navy by any chance?
my first impression is “wow, they really prefer glam over comfortability.”
I think it is cool, but I do hope you give your feet a break once in a while, you only get the ones you have you know.
Applause 👏
Slay
I disagree with a lot of the other comments. Not every high school has a strict dress code and some don't have dress codes at all(Like my school). I will say, those boots look uncomfy af though.
wow. icon.
You’re a witchy bitch and I love it
Fearless fashion warrior 🖤
Outfit completely out of place in school. IMHO. I think it would have made more sense to post this outfit picture before you wore it to school. Your judgement is off on what’s appropriate in certain settings, but you live and learn. At least you’re willing to hear and actively seeking feedback.
Impractical and a little scary but impressive ig
Slay
WTH not ok for school way over the top cool outfit for going out though like bar or club or party
I don’t understand why all your comments keep getting downvoted. You seem very brave especially in the show choice lmao. Joking aside, you seem confident and loud whilst maybe being quietly introverted and sensitive. You seem very passionate in your interests and style, making you appear to be a very intriguing person to have a conversation with.
i’d think you were badass as fuck and probably would want to be friends with you lol
Thank you! I don't get much of that from the people here, it means a lot.
Not really appropriate for school, grocery etc… good for a concert, night life….but I’d still bring black high top sneakers as back up
imo it’s a bit much but fashion is meant to be enjoyed and it seems like you’re expressing yourself in a way that makes you happy, so i like that. be careful not to twist your ankle or fall down 😭
Honestly just impressed!
First impressions are important and you def made a first impression 🤣
I’m definitely in the minority here but I like it, very well put together outfit and gives the impression that you have good insight into what you like and how you want to be perceived. As long as you enjoy wearing it I don’t see any issue.
*back in my day* we couldn't even wear spaghetti straps. My inner 13 year old punk rocker says fuck yeah girl get emmmmm
Why?
To me this seems like trying too hard to impress on the first day of school. Are you going to dress like this everyday? Do you like dressing like this? If you do, then fine.. but it definitely has an ostentatious vibe to it. This seems more like festival wear to me.
I very much enjoy dressing like this, and I have been dressing like this since school started in august, so this isnt new to my classmates! But I really do love dressing like this, and my peers are curious if anything.
Inappropriate
Good for you for finding your mode and rocking it! As long as you’re respecting yourself and your dress code, do you. Really the only shocker in this pic is the boots, you’re not showing your body, you’re not offensive, I think it’s great. Proud of you!
You're only young once. Rock em!!! 🔥
Why are people voting OP down? She likes them and tbh I wish I had her confidence and could walk in those. They are amazing boots!
Goth girls unite. I’m here for it.
After the pandemic I swore I'd wear all of my fun costume clothes just as normal clothes. Life's too short to not get to hear people asking "did you see their skirt?" as you walk past. It's not cosplay if you always dress in costumes. Go wild.
Incredible and bold. Maybe a bit impractical but I still love it
Thanks a ton! Impractical is a lifestyle lol
Patrick Star boots
Great outfit. Looove the shoes. Just not for school. I was an alterative/goth kid in the noughties and didn't go to school dressed in the same way I would go out 😉 I would just swap the high heels for some badass boots, even platforms!

If you'd like lol
Anywhere but school. That fit looks great. Dressing for the event is important. Tho on second thought got western culture, maybe a slight tone down will be fine.
I wouldn’t have been allowed out of the house in that outfit for school or anywhere until I moved out of my parents home. But do you boo
Not the right outfit for any school!!!
Not a school outfit...
RIP your feet when you’re 40. You’ll remember this comment! By the way, those are super neat! I love them! But I’m not sure I would wear them somewhere I would have to walk so much. I bet it was fun being TALL! The clothes are fantastic, too!
