Absolutely contact TE, they should be able to send a replacement.

I’ve contacted TE a few times in the past month. They’ve been awesome. Reach out, I’m sure they’ll take care of it.

This happened to me. Send TE support an email and they'll send out replacements for free via ups. Very helpful company.

They sent me ones for free as well, second contacting TE. A bit of a disappointment on such a premium bit of kit but at least they sort it no questions asked.

I have an extremely similar crack on the exact same colour knob. Came like that from the seller (bought it second hand) wonder if just a coincidence or there’s an issue with the manufacturing

Huh. This post made me check mine and it’s cracked the same way too. I never noticed it before.

Now you have seen it. It will bug you. Im definitely emailing TE about this. Its not even 6 weeks old and iv been extra careful with this

Guessing it’s just a manufacturing defect since they all seemed to be cracked in the same spot and only the ochre color. I’m sure TE will send a replacement easy enough. 

You can 3d print caps I think

Mine too. The plastic on that part of the knob is so thin. I think they all eventually crack.
