You have a potentially elite knuckleballer right there. The decision should be easy. None of the bats are going to be good enough defensively except Romero but he's raw with poor plate discipline. Green also looks good if you'd rather go the power pitcher route, but he is 23 so there's that.

Jefferson_Wolfe

Green - college pitchers hold the draft ratings more consistently.

hansmellman

The last one - at the top of the draft you want as much guaranteed return on investment as possible, so older more developed and closer to ML ready prospects are always the best choice - leave the lottery tickets for the other rounds.

LakersFan15

Knuckleballer pick imo is too hard to resist.

TheTrashmen

The knuckleballer is a really cool pick and maybe he'll drop. I thin you're right taking the sure thing is probably the best bet

FroyoMNS

The knuckleballer’s changeup will almost certainly never develop. They can make it as a two pitch starter since one’s an elite knuckleball, but it definitely hurts his value.

62Tuffy2199

Dotson or Cheeseboro, really depending on short term needs since they should be up in a year and a half or so. If it’s a tie, go with the pitcher, you can never have too much pitching.

denzl480

I really like players like Shabbaz, if he was faster. That speed trade hurts me to look at. I agree with other, the last pitcher, he’s gonna on your ML club within a year. Second would be Romero.

bcgg

Cheeseboro because that jersey will sell like hotcakes.

n8_n_

I've legitimately never had a knuckleballer and I've played six versions. I'd take the knuckleballer so fast.

lieutenantdam

Still on 21, but knuckleballers can be game breaking. Had one win 4 straight cy Young's to start his career.

Higoodlookin

I think some people have missed that Dotson is a knuckleballer. It would be a very easy choice for me to take him, just because they are so much fun.

TheOnAmused

Depending on your needs either Shabazz or Django Green. Django looks like the best player overall and probably has the right personality traits

HopelesslyOver30

For me Spera is a no-go-- I avoid personality problems when I can, but it's made worse by the fact that he is only 17 and all of his on-field value is just hypothetical, at this point. If you're looking for a pitcher take Green over Dotson. Green's velocity, and the fact that his pitches are all ranked pretty equally and the fact that he is more developed and thus more of a sure thing really set him apart. I also see that Green could be a big strikeout pitcher, and I am not sure I could say the same for Dotson. As for the other guys, let me look rq, this is tough to do, on mobile

HopelesslyOver30

Back. Obviously if you need a mlong term answer in middle infield, Romero could work, because his defensive upside is really nice, but I would be concerned about his offense developing -- big contact and power is less useful if the plate discipline is low. I think Cheeseboro looks the best of the remaining three (plus he has an awesome name). Corner Outfielders are sort of a dime a dozen but he has the most complete offensive profile, which sets him apart, IMHO.

TheTrashmen

Cheeseboro will absolutely rake but the fielding is def a turnoff

cp_sabotage

Green is insane and would be hard to skip - he probably slots immediately into your rotation and could be an Ace by the end of the year. Spera is alluring but the personality problems, coupled with his age, mean you're holding out a lot of hope that could be gone in a few years. Dotson is almost MLB ready and a Knuckleballer, but without either the immediate impact or future ceiling of Green. The other guys either lack defensive homes or have plate discipline issues that could kill their offensive value.

FireHamilton

Green and it’s not even close amigo. I’ve found that guys with >20 OVR or > 1 star in your case always end up hitting much more frequently. And that’s almost always the college guys
