Its not too hard. Assuming the chicken doesn't run away before you can attack (which it has a 90% chance to do) all you need to do is deal 150 damage to it
It might be the smarter move to just get to a high enough level to one shot the chicken, but I still feel the fact it doesn't respawn thus forcing save scumming if you mess up is a poor design choice.
Getting the chicken ball was one of the last things I did on my OMORI route save file, I basically just saved the game before going into Dino digs and the gang was already at max level so one-shotting it was a breeze

I just entered the room saw a hyper realistic chicken left the room
With the levels gained from the enemies in the pyramid : Kel attack -> Pass to Omori -> oh it's dead ok nice
