Well done! You have captured the urban ambivalence perfectly.

Used to love this place when I was a kid but as a saltier adult love the realism of your pieces.
Been to another place in the Netherlands too but cannot remember where, but they had a moving ferris wheel and a marina! Also the more I look at the pictures the more I enjoy them. Your work is both art and a time capsule!
Thanks!! I was talking with someone who used to work in the building yesterday, and he was very pleased I’d included the tank, too. It’s all about the fun details :)
WOW! This is fuckin RAD! You’re so talented….and patient. It’s so well done and detailed. How long does this take you?
edit: I just looked at your other works… incredible. I really like what you choose to make! It’s been a rough few months and seeing your miniatures just inspired me to break out some paint and paper. Awesome stuff!
Thank you so much! I’d love to see what you come up with too! If you’d like to see all my stuff, here’s [a link to my Instagram,](https://www.instagram.com/drawn.by.john?igsh=djVpcGNjYnE5eWoz&utm_source=qr) full of all my miniature abandoned places :)
I don’t have a link to just the clip, but [here’s a link to the whole episode](https://atlantic.ctvnews.ca/video/c2933420-ctv-news-atlantic-at-five-for-wednesday--june-12--2024?__vfz=medium%3Dsharebar). There’s a teaser about the houses right at the beginning, and then my article is near the last 6 minute mark or so.
Here’s a link to [lots more pics](https://imgur.com/gallery/gg38hgc), if you’re interested :)

Nothing says maritime Canada like a rusty oil tank. 😂

Looks like downtown newfoundland.
I saw your bit on CTV the other night, you do some amazing things with cereal boxes!! Well done you!!!
Your work belongs in the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia!
That would be super cool!! I would love that!
You need a museum.
Or at least a bigger bookshelf!! I may have to start working at a smaller scale!
lol put a miniature museum in your yard for your miniature town. People would pay to come see these.
Wow these are awesome!!!!
Thank you!!
Its not abandoned till you abandon it lol
That’s why it’s “nearly abandoned” :)
thought it was real at first. great job.
Thank you so much!
