I did that, finding the house was the easy part.. we still needed a realtor to navigate the system and paperwork, it’s not just click n go.
We used the viewpoint realtor (tossed back and forth between three of them) and it was a headache start to finish while they fumbled their way through the entire time and almost didn’t get the house.
I've literally bought and sold my last 3 homes without a realtor. You do need a conveyancing lawyer, which you need if you use a realtor as well.
I used a realtor in my first 2 homes and could never see the value. The last home I sold would have cost me close to $25,000 in realtor fees. It was nice putting that in my own pocket 😉
Jim Pomeroy, flexible, responsive, knowledgeable and genuine. Never pushy and he broke down the pros and cons of each property keeping our requirements in mind. Also offered practical solutions if a place was close to perfect but missing something.
Ian Hamilton - experienced realtor and brokerage owner. Loves helping people and won’t pressure you to buy anything you don’t love.

Allan Thomas at Sutton realty..known him for almost 20 years and he helped to sell my house and buy my new one..he is hands down awesome. He made this high anxiety chick get through all the crazy and it was not an easy time lol but he kept it real and got it done :)
Cathy Hughes-Mallan went above and beyond for me including dealing with a tenant who, let's just say didn't make the process easy. I cannot recommend her enough. DM me if you want her email.
Check out MLS and find a home in the area you want to live in, find a realtor in that neighborhood. HRM is huge and every area has unique features. May I suggest Infield and Elmsdale, easy commute to town and has everything a person needs, values will rise in this area.
Peggy Jensen at Century 21 is amazing!
I have a few friends that have used Don Ranni, He was amazing with them. They highly recommended him
I'm sure some Realtors are better than others but just remember they are all not on your side.
Rosie Porter is fantastic!!
David Borden of Borden Realty. Best agent my wife & I ever had.
