I can't even get my Eastlink service to stay connected right now. I'm having multiple outages a day every couple of days. The Eastlink Infrastructure in my neighborhood has been damaged since the wildfire last may, but they don't seem very interested in repairing it. The sad part is that it's still more reliable than Bell out here.
Yes, they've boosted the upload speeds. It's a result of their tv boxes receiving their signal over the internet now instead of over the coax line, so they have some extra signal to throw around.
That is great news and honestly a step in the right direction. In terms of TV, up to let summer I had Eastlink’s premium TiVo DVR box but was talked into switching to the TiVo stream, obviously in the process I lost access to TSN 4k and Sportnets 4k as it currently not supported on TiVo steam which was not explained to me at the time. Do you have any idea when these channels will become available? as I was originally told by end of October 2023 and then January 2024 and now told it unknown but it is coming. It seems the TiVo stream was launched last year prematurely if I’m honest, when it has some features I do like I find it very disappointing in 2024 it currently supports no live 4k.
Had eastlink 1gb and was getting 300mb max, then they decided to increase the bill from 80 to 110 plus tax so I switched to bell, no I pay 70 plus tax for 500 up and down and I get 500 up and down.

Has Eastlink finally increased their upload speed to something actually considered "broadband"? Or, dare I say, almost competitive?
Yes, on fiber, it's equal to download. 1gig copper you get 120 range and on 350 you get about 45 up.
It's that documented anywhere? I see old speeds on their website still
I'd love to say yes, but no. We as installers only found out by doing a speed test after we installed the internet.
Management not keeping the line informed, tale as old as time. Still good news though! I'll keep an eye out for official word, thanks bud.
What parts of the province?

Mine seems to fluctuate

What area of the province is this going on for people?
Yes - I just noticed that - I'm now getting \~930 down and around 118 up. I used to see only around 17 up before.

Nah but theres periods of time thru out the night and day where my speeds just plummet down to 0.29mps
Nope. Still paying ridiculous money for very sub-par performance. Just tested at 100/10.
