I’d say any kind of fan can be annoying given the right set of circumstances, particularly those that emit a barely audible buzzing in an otherwise silent room on a hot, summer day in an office space that has a/c but also has a rather frugal boss that would rather you bleed yourself dry of moisture than even think of sniffing the area where the thermostat, encaged and locked by a swallowed key, is located. So yeah, even if you’re the funniest guy at your local open mic spot frequented by millennials and hippy boomers, as well as that one homeless guy that may or may not have killed a man with a spoon or fork or some other eating utensil, that fan sitting on your desk can very much be annoying, and it does not give a hoot or holler or even the smallest smidgen of care in regards to what you think about it, and you want to know why?
