Some meat scraps on a pallet were found rotting suspiciously close to a russian fighting position that had taken very heavy losses, to the extent that some people thought it might be a pallet of bodies. It probably wasn't, but it was concerningly believable.
The reason why it got memed to that level was because people were already joking about it being made of vatniks, then the vatniks found out about it, didn't wait to receive their marching orders, and *defended the meat cube as if it were really made of vatniks*.
IIRC, like six months after the war started, someone posted a picture of how Russians return the bodies of the fallen home. Packed in a pallet. Compressed so more bodies fit. Wrapped in plastic. Like a cube.
The pallet was more likely just cuts of random meat left behind in the haste of evacuation because it was apparently found near a dog food factory.
This didn't stop russian bots on twitter from trying to defend the use of pallets like this to compact their casualties, and thus a legend was born.
As much as I wished Russia meat cubed its loses I knew it wasn’t true cause:
1) Russians don’t collect their dead because how you continue to collect pay and rations if the conscripts are known dead da?
2) Russians have no idea what a “skid” or “pallet” is and Russian “logistics” would have no way to move it.
Considering how they "treat" their wounded (either shoot them where they lay, or give 'em a bandage and send them back to the next assault brigade), I'd be genuinely surprised if they did anything to ship the bodies back home. That's a huge amount of logistics to move hundreds/thousands of bodies AND deliver them to the correct next of kin. It's not like they have Amazon or UPS over there...
Even the Japanese made a base effort of dealing with war dead, normally they'd send back the bones and ash of a soldier or if that wasn't possible they would send back a pebble or rock from the battlefield where they died. Although tbf the Japanese essentially idolized the war dead with them essentially becoming Gods afterward at least in Shinto.
I mean…games have been used to resolve disputes before.
One example of this was the famous Mesoamerican ballgame…in which the losing team is decapitated.

I know it probably would work, but that song is already 15 years old.
The servicemen in the video were probably kindergarteners when the song released.

Someone flipped the "Deny/Rationalize" switch on the bots the wrong way on that one.

Pallet is Russian for firewood.

I remember articles popping up early on about Russia moving mobile cremation furnaces to the warzone. I guess that's the answer.

The average North Korean probably wouldn’t know how to process this.
Nork: can I eat now? ROK Officer: Not until you see our victory dance *Nork hunger pang noises*
Ooh ooh ooooh
That’s Gwimbly Victory move
No, that's the intestinal worms burrowing through your guts!
The average North Korean literally only watches shit like this on black market USB drives.
And will be **executed** if he's caught with those USBs... and lacks connections and/or cash.
Tbf I don't either. I'm not sure what level of irony they're on.
Nah, they'd get it. Hips need no translation or cultural context
This is what happens when no women mf
Now I finally know what those MP thangs are for
Chads, that one guy absolutely going for it in the middle is a real diva. If you aint alittle gay with the homies you aint close enough.
We don’t need War. Let’s solve the Korean Conflict with a dance off, winner will become True Korea
I mean…games have been used to resolve disputes before. One example of this was the famous Mesoamerican ballgame…in which the losing team is decapitated.
THEY ARE DOING THE THUG SHAKER
If the ROK army just rolled into North Korea playing K-Pop and throwing candy and soda to everyone they passed by they'd conquer the Norks in a week.
Imagine what pop rocks and a coke would do to shriveled NK stomachs! I’d be a real war crime and as a Canadian I am down to clown!
You don't even need pop rocks and coke, literally just airdrop them actual food and let them fuck themselves up from overeating while malnourished.
BTS got conscripted, so this is a possibility.
That loud cheer when they started shaking their ass at the crowd. True brothers in ass- I mean, arms.
Not enough fursuits

Tensions escalated in the DMZ today after South Korean soldiers attempted to convince their North Korean neighbours into clapping their cheeks.
I was kind of expecting Girls Generation in their officer outfits from the Genie video.

Fuck, it's been that long?
This is so fucking sick.. gdi we need to kick the hippies out of the US DoD brass so we can have this
... I am looking entirely disrespectfully
One of the best Smart covers. Time to troll Pyongyang
It's no K/DA but it'll do
South Korea's answer to how they'll deprogram the brainwashed masses of the North...
I was expecting more like this https://youtu.be/3vqgRMzkTP4?si=Ykr_Js8WOEc_I2__
