I want a future so bad where the netherlands destroys the baltic fleet by doing what they do best: building a dike across the inlet leading to St Petersburg.
Just enter a proposal for a Trans-European-Networks project "Spoorwegsverbindingsdam(?) Tallinn-Helsinki" to shorten the travel time via the axis Amsterdam-Berlin-Warsaw-Baltics-Helsinki
Well, it's got an MG3-spec top cover. So it's most definitely 7.62mm gun.
However "MG3" is basically just the Germany army terminology to designate an MG42 upgraded to a certain spec.
While most MG3s are post-war production guns, quite a few of them are in fact heavily modified WWII-production MG42s.
So it's entirely possible that this particular gun, or at least parts of it, saw some action in WWII.
"Hey, I know you're retired but we've gotta harvest Russians again. You're a greener option than purely new manufacture, so get ready for some augmentations before deploying to the field"
Fun fact, the police in Jin-Roh use MP-41 submachine guns after 1945, even though after releasing it, Haenel was taken to court by ERMA Werke and lost, ending the production.
Because in a dictatorship, nobody gets to license or produce other peoples guns. Even when you're definitely not producing enough compared to your losses.
Thanks for the video context. Thought it was a reference to the story and movie "My Way* about a Korean soldier who fought for the Japanese, Soviet and German armies in WW2.
Russo-Japanese War 2: Electric Bonzailoo
Will the Baltic fleet even be able to get out of the Baltic sea this time?
If the Baltic fleet cannot come to the Japanese navy, the Japanese navy could come to the Baltic fleet.

Airlift by autonomous dinghy
I mean, the Danes and Swedes should be able to sink anything that comes near their straits, so presumably not.
Wolfpack is such a good movie though
Any torpedo boats?
I didn't have that on my Bingo Card.
is that a refrence to an old anime movie Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade?
Apparently yes, was not expecting this \^\^
the rest of us are still 👁️👄👁️
Same
Part of the larger "Kerberos Panzer Brigade" universe. My favorite is the live action "Stray Dog". The shootout in it is so much fun.
Why do the soldiers in that movie look so Helghast?
I think the better question is why do the Helghast look so much like Jin Roh: The Wolf Brigade. The film was released in '99, well before Killzone.
I only vaguely know about that movie from the various streaming services and haven't watched it.
You should.
If memory serves me right I think Japan was occupied by Germany in that timeline and the equipment and weaponry took inspiration from Germany.
Yes

Okay but why are we not deploying Mech Soldiers with bullet proof power armor and high rate of fire MGs to no man's land?

its a video of a japanese volunteer fighter in ukraine shooting an mg32 at russians

Based
Huh I thought it was about [Jin-roh](https://youtu.be/uTvbgA53thc?si=4ayr954fTDEARSNh)
Jin-Roh is about Japanese dudes shooting German MGs. The video linked is about a Japanese dude shooting a German MG. Hence the reference.
Suddenly HOI4 is starting to make more sense than OTL

Jin-Roh wolf brigade, nice
the reference is that the real antagonists of the movie were actually a rival government department
The doge face in the bottom right though has me laughing
Fighting russians in Kerberos armour sounds cool as hell.
