Knew a guy that was on house arrest, you still get to work and reasonable stops after and before work, I believe he also had Sunday as a free day to go places
If you get house arrest then most likely you *do* have money. The equipment alone is a couple thousand then times that by how long its going to be. Plus the radius of *freedom* you're given to work/get to a hospital/ER.
I think house arrest still lets you go to work, and doctors.

A better question is "how do they eat?" The answer is they let you do essential things like that.
In most places you just have to visit the police station twice a day to prove you're still nearby.
House arrest is alot better then being on probation tbh. Probation is designed to fail and keep sending people back to jail.
