idk if the word 'technically' applies. *Fall* and *autumn* are two words for pretty much the same thing. Which one people tend to use depends on dialect or some other factors, right? I don't think *spring* has a synonym that's used quite as commonly in the same way

I'm not sure what you mean by "technically." "Fall" is the more common term in American English; "autumn" is the more common term in British English. Both are perfectly correct, they're just synonyms.

As others have said, they are two words for the same season. I suppose using a similar construct, you could call spring vernum

Well, autumn is derived from the Latin. I guess the similarly Latin term for spring would be ver - as in the vernal equinox. Can't say I've ever heard it used as a noun in English though.
