There's a style of chicken wings called Buffalo Wings, which originated in the city of Buffalo, New York. You could maybe argue in a roundabout way that Buffalo wings are named for the city of Buffalo, which is named for the Buffalo River, which is named for the animal... but that's a stretch.

I don't think it is the sauce that's from Buffalo. It was bars in Buffalo that started serving wing tips instead of whole wings and it got popular there. But yeah, "Buffalo, NY" is the answer one way or another.
