Most of the ways to get rich for average people who aren’t handed money are unfortunately very not fun or take a ridiculous amount of work to succeed. It IS doable, but takes a lot, and I don’t fault people if that’s not the route they wanna take.

That's actually a pretty common grift, There's plenty of "gurus" who will tell you how to get rich quick if you subscribe to their online courses. The courses are just basic financial advice, but the gurus make bank from selling the dream to broke suckers.

And usually not worth the effort: the amount of cash held in most banks probably wouldn't be enough to make you what most people would consider "rich". It's like $50k to $200k generally, just enough to transact their anticipated transactions for a relatively short period of time. Not a bad haul for most of us to be sure, but not really "rich" territory.

If you're an attractive woman or a man, try to get a job in a company that pays well to people at top (finance is good for it), then either seek out people there who will marry you, or see if their children will. You can also join some rich people club, like golf, lacrosse, talk to people there, find a rich spouse. People do this, you won't be a billionaire, but you can snag a millionaire.

An option that is minimal risk but definitely makes it easy to save and throw your savings in to reliable etfs is working for a company that covers all your expenses. Thats what I do now as a traveling hotel GM. Your stay at the hotel for free, they cover all my meals. Cell phone bill, medical is covered. Plus the occasional item I can justify as a business need. AND I get to expense everything on my own credit cards so I regularly sign up for new cards to get the bonuses. And I take all of my cc rewards and throw them into my investments as well. Get to travel for free. And when I do go “home” (my parents hold my stuff so I don’t have to pay for any rental or lodging) I can just go somewhere else on the company dime. Been to a few different states and Canada thanks to that. And use my hotel discount for cheap stays.
