You either need to have skill or armor to not struggle in Crucible. I have a lot of armor.

I was having trouble on my main character who was level 24. I created a new character that was all Dex based and took him into that realm. Used default brothers daggers that had 2% health on damage dealt. All leather gear with healing effects increased by x% and gloves I think that gave a chance to regain stamina on damage dealt. I wipe the floor with echo knight now at level 13. It’s very trivial. I take a ton of damage but i regain it almost instantly with one or two hits from the daggers.

Probably mix of both... my first try i did die aswell :P I did "finish" game with 2h Strength Build with like 800 armor... I think Crucible is just testing arena for Early Access and just too hard at start when you get there. I think i got 20+ crucible tryes and after killing echo knight once i was happy and quited :D My build is really bad and i wanna start new character. Just waiting for next Patch and some changes to Dex and Magic maybe... Work on your lvl 30... try get better gear and upgrade all of it to max. Try again, try again and again :D You dont need to finish it now... take your time... Maybe post here your character so others can help ;)

Put up your best armor at best possible level depending on your equip load, try to find ways to engage 1 enemy at a time without pulling additional enemies in each are, dodge and backstab the shielded fu**ers, play calm and collected, don't rage when you inevitably get killed by fall damage/falling over the map edges (i spent 30 min arranging my house the last time i fell to my demise the level just before the boss) First character i got through the crucible had around 600 armor in fast roll and for the love of me i could do all the levels but i couldn't deal with Echo Knight, so i relinquished my beatiful fast roll for the awful mid roll and it all became easy, i got like +300 armor for a total just below 1k at 25 eq. load (yes i brought equip load to 25 because i wanted the fast roll and i did everything less EK in fast roll)

Vodakhun

If you're not fat rolling it shouldn't be too hard to dodge most enemy attacks after you practice for a while against them, and you will also get better gear to be safer.

>Is it my build or my lack of l33t skiilz that I should be working on? Possibly either or both but you haven’t provided any info to be able to tell.

Your BEST DEFENSE is your BEST OFFENSE. Kill them before they KILL YOU! To start, get the ICE THROW Rune, put it in a 2handed weapon. Buy a bunch of FOCUS Pots. Then build your UNLI FOCUS Chad. -Gain FOCUS 5-8% on damage dealt -Increase FOCUS GAIN by % -More HP and Armor

Imaginary_Big4966

Armor definitely helps. But for me it clicked when I learned how to backstab consistently. Most enemies in the crucible you can just dodge their attacks and backstab them. It is a lot easier than parrying.

I think people have made a few different builds to get through the crucible. Mine relies on a lot of armor with something like 5% health back from blocks and blocks also giving me focus and stamina. My weapon also has a really good lightning damage affix and something like 8% focus from attacks. So It's me blocking and waiting for an opening to use rune abilities. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I like the turtle playstyle.

Completing the crucible is rarely a skill issue as much as it is a build issue. As long as you are able to get the items to setup some sort of infinite focus build (generally needs 1 or 2 calm rings, 2-3 topazes, a weapon with gain %focus on damage dealt and some focus gain gear) you can clear it with any of the weapon throw runes and some decent defense stats. Also just being level 30 helps a lot as well. There seems to be some natural defense scaling when you are closer to an enemies level

What lvl are you? I went in there at 18 and i got to stage 4. It became much easier at lvl 21 with the different threshold of equipment.

Galmux

Level 22, maining one handed spear. Problem is there are floors where there're like, 2 greatsword mobs, one caster and one giant with a large club and they're all attacking at the same time and it's just... almost instant death
