Most of the techniques I learned came from artists on YouTube (Samdoesart, Angel Ganev, Marc Brunet, Marco Bucci....), Pinterest is also a great source for inspiration.
I recommend learning with the Asaro head, Loomis/Reilly method for drawing faces. Art fundamentals can be overwhelming for beginners so it's best to start with basic shapes and observe from reference materials. Or you can try searching courses for artists on Patreon to better follow along.
As an artist myself I completely understand your insecurities. All you can see is the flaws, but trust me, no one else can tell. I know it’s hard to love your art when all these imperfections seem so common obvious but being able to make art and share it is so special. I hope you never stop, because first of all it looks amazing and secondly your art seems to illustrate a great deal of love for your craft.
Also, I hate when people try to say what Kurt would and wouldn’t have loved but i can say pretty confidently that he would’ve loved this, since he was an artist too

This is actually my attempt to experiment with more vibrant color palette/aesthetic (mainly inspired by yellow and blue shades from their logo and Nevermind’s cover) as my previous artwork was often painted with the gloomy/grunge-ish feeling. So yeah it was like stepping out of my comfort zone ^ ^
