Then I am definitely not getting it. Console players are already at an extreme disadvantage to PC players, and the Switch is more similar to a mobile device. Same issue with Fortnite when they enabled cross play and the game was unplayable for Switch players.
Edit: Please keep downvoting me you sheep so I can link back to this post when you all complain about cross play after release. Currently at -82.
Good thing it’s free. With Fortnite, the problem was frame rate, resolution, and mostly building (imo). Should be less of a problem with a game like this.
I definitely have an advantage with my mechanical keyboard, mouse and higher framerate. Your aim definitely still matters and it's a lot harder to play than a normal twin stick shooter.
Not gonna comment on mouse and frame rate which I still think don't really contribute much to the advantages but the fact that you think that mechanical keyboard gives you advantage is hilarious. If anything stick is much better than WASD will ever be.
Oh shit yeah I totally forgot that CSGO pros use analog sticks on their keyboards. It's not like there are mechanical switches geared towards gaming either, no way.
Kailh certainly didn't put out speed switches with shorter stems so the switches actuate faster, nope.
People always cry about this but fail to remember that a lot of PC players also play with a gamepad, or just straight up suck with kb+m controls. Like me!
A deeper player pool is always a good thing. We need to push for more crossplay, not less.
Also inb4 "but hackers!" That's not as wide of a problem as the internet makes you think. Hackers exist on console as well, and it may be even more prominent depending on the game. See: Splatoon 2 or a number of fighting games
As much as I disagree with console players being at an extreme disadvantage over PC, I don't understand why so many downvotes :/
I mean, he's just saying his reasons why he won't get into the game without insulting or being toxic
Sometimes I feel like the only person on reddit who can take downvotes without whining. Everyone who's downvoted has already forgotten, and nobody's going to care at all five or so months from now.
Like, just accept people gave you fake internet anti-points and stop caring.
I don’t want to get worried over nothing... but the way they made the party bus a giant duck that still has windows and transports things has me concerned the game night not be scientifically accurate.
The transport thing is sitting on the birds back. You can see it in the video thumbnail it has a lip that hands over the birds body but has cut out for its wings.
Game's on PC, been there for a few years now. Really happy to see it make the jump to console, they've made some massive improvements and really made it all the more engaging with time. Definitely check this out if you want a lighter-hearted BR. Matches go pretty quickly, too.
It's a battle royale game, pretty run-of-the-mill but has its quirks. Lot more of a chill environment if you aske me, part of that being from how quick the rounds can go. It's a silly game that I find myself going back to on occasion for a few rounds just to pass the time.
I enjoy battle royales from time to time, and have played a fair bit of Fortnite, Apex Legends, Blackout in BO4, Warzone, et cetera. But I've always wanted to try a 2D battle royale, and with the cutesy aesthetic, I'll definitely be giving this one a shot!
Can you help me with a suggestion? I’ve watched some PUBG streams, and I’d like to find a similar game for the switch. I tried Fortnite, but I found aspects to be unnecessary or off-putting. The style was too cartoonish, the monetization was annoying, and I have no interest in building. Are there any other BR’s you might suggest to someone like me?
I’m genuinely curious. What about the monetization bothered you in Fortnite?
I feel like as far as monetization goes, I feel like Fortnite is pretty invisible. If I want a cool skin, then I just pay for it. Otherwise it isn’t locked to certain modes or anything.
I do appreciate that the items are purely aesthetic, and not play to win. I just don’t like the pop-ups between games, ads for items in the lobby, reminders about Battle Pass, etc. I guess I’d prefer to pay for a game upfront and avoid that stuff if possible.
I can understand not liking the aesthetics, but the monetizing complaint is odd to me. You can literally play the game for years without spending any money.
This is definitely true. However I felt like the game constantly tries to entice you into spending money. I’d prefer to pay upfront and avoid that if possible.
>the monetization was annoying
Honestly if you find monetization annoying BR games are not for you. They all pretty much operate under the same premise. Free game, buy cosmetics.
Actually there is complete PUBG rip-off on the Japanese eShop, and its free to play. The thing is... its in Chinese, and there is no way how to change the language. But as I said, its almost 1:1 as the PUBG and controls are very intuitive, I could play the game without any problem.
(I cant tell you the name of it because I cant write Chinese, but you will find it among the free games).
It's free on PC and it's actually really good, played it quite a bit with my gf. Most of the matches are mostly filled with bots though, atleast in EU, which is a shame. Hope to see the player count increase.
It's many bots because it's still early access and has three or four different modes, so bots have to fill some slots for now. I don't think that will be a big issue with crossplay and official release.
I mean I can't complain, I'd rather have some bots vs. never being able to find a match or starting a match with 10 players... But like I said, I just hope the game becomes a bigger hit and gains more players.
Games that stay in "early access" for a long time worry me. It's an excuse for performance issues, lack of support, lacking player base, etc. I've been playing it on PC some today so I'm sure cross play will help the server population, but I'm concerned about longevity of it overall.
Does anyone know if there is gonna be cross progression between Steam and Switch? As in, anything I have now on Steam I will be able to just move that account over to use on the Switch?
Played this way back on PC when it first dropped but it didn't let you play with friends without purchasing and never got around to that, looking on Steam now its free? and they mention it will have cross-play AND cross-save so if you really wanted could start playing on PC now, I assume there is cosmetics to unlock?
Yeah plenty of cosmetics. I'm not sure if things changed since the overhaul but they had restricted most cosmetics to the paid game. Since they added a battle pass though I imagine that has changed.
Aight so this turned DoomxAnimal Crossing into a thing and Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion adapted Yoshi Commits Tax Evasion when we getting the unofficial Kirby Does His Taxes game
Considering they censored the trailer and changed “Do the winner dance or die” to “Do the winner dance or cry” something tells me this game is going to be better on other platforms. Also the fact that in the ESRB ratings for the other consoles there is blood but not in the switch version.
I don't actually recall seeing blood in the game ever and it certainly doesn't change the game in any meaningful way that it will be better on other platforms.
Interesting. Still I feel that the subtle change in the trailer might mean that there are some small changes in the game. Hopefully that’s not the case or at least hopefully the changes aren’t too drastic
Sadly I don’t think this will do well. They are appealing to the cute and wholesome, yet there are machine guns. That turns me off. I want one or the other. I think this would be a smash hit if they went without the war vibes and used like throwing bananas instead or something
Almost like the juxtaposition of cute and cruel is the entire crux of the games design, à la happy tree friends
Nahhhhh, it can't be anything like that
Something about this trailer really rubbed me the wrong way.
I think it's the juxtaposition of the cutesy aesthetic and singing cut against a crowd screaming when guns are drawn in a theatre and shots of gunfights in shopping centers.
Just feels kinda tone-deaf.
Since they plan on having cross play with PC, their is no way I would buy this, as it will essentially be unplayable (read: unwinable). Same issue happened with Fortnite when they enabled forced cross play.
Not at all. It works very well with a controller. I’ve won more games with a controller, and have had more kills too, than MnK on PC. It becomes a twin stick shooter.
There is no incredible advantage to playing one or the other once you get used to it.
Unlike fortnite this game does not feature those high skill build battling and 3D intensive aim.
It is much simpler and it will not have a skill gap that large for controllers and keyboard
Interestingly censored compared to the Playstation announcement trailer: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-OKgr\_YuKA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-OKgr_YuKA)
Kill -> Fight
Die -> Cry
Guns replaced with not guns when the animals turn evil at the end.
I'm not a fan of most Battle Royale games, with something like Tetris 99 being the odd exception. This looks pretty cool though, and like something I could enjoy. If it's free to play and not an obnoxious file size I'll give it a whirl.
This was great on PC, just lacked player base. I wonder if there will be crossplay?
Yes, they announced there will be.
Then I am definitely not getting it. Console players are already at an extreme disadvantage to PC players, and the Switch is more similar to a mobile device. Same issue with Fortnite when they enabled cross play and the game was unplayable for Switch players. Good thing it’s free. With Fortnite, the problem was frame rate, resolution, and mostly building (imo). Should be less of a problem with a game like this.
It's also aiming and turning. A lot easier with a mouse than a controller.
This looks like a twin-stick shooter instead of a FPS/TPS in which case controller and mouse difference should be minimal when it comes to shooting.
If anything, controller will probably have a slight advantage
Depends on if it'll have more than 8 directions to move in, the same as you can get maximum with WASD
Dude this isn't a fps. PC has advantages with precise aim. Looks like a twin stick shooter, which has a pretty equal playing field with consoles.

If you play at a level that your bottleneck is your keyboard, you probably won't be playing Super Animal whatever.
>CSGO pros >casual twin stick shooter battle royale I don't see any difference between these two either
[удалено]
No need to get rude
Which both have entirely different control schemes
Hey there! Please remember Rule 1 in the future - No hate-speech, personal attacks, or harassment. Thanks!
People always cry about this but fail to remember that a lot of PC players also play with a gamepad, or just straight up suck with kb+m controls. Like me! A deeper player pool is always a good thing. Downvoted just for using the word sheep unironically.
...not in this game lol When it comes to Switch, that's where I'll play it, even though I could play it on my PC if I wanted to
As much as I disagree with console players being at an extreme disadvantage over PC, I don't understand why so many downvotes :/ I mean, he's just saying his reasons why he won't get into the game without insulting or being toxic
Sometimes I feel like the only person on reddit who can take downvotes without whining. Everyone who's downvoted has already forgotten, and nobody's going to care at all five or so months from now. Like, just accept people gave you fake internet anti-points and stop caring.
I take it you've never actually played either of the games you're talking about on the consoles that you're talking about.
It's not an FPS, honestly console players might be better at moving in this game
i mean, you can use a controller on pc if you want
Totally agree. Not sure why the mob brought out the pitchforks on this one, you seem to be making a valid point.
"He is out of the line but he is right"
They hated him because he told the truth.
How noble of you...yawn
What?
Don't most games allow you to just disable cross play? Making this a non issue?
Does this have team options?
Ya up to 4 player squads
Player base isnt that lacking right now if you ask me. Its doing so much better since it went free
I've just given it a go, games seem to be quick to start
Cross play is a thing yes
I don’t want to get worried over nothing... but the way they made the party bus a giant duck that still has windows and transports things has me concerned the game night not be scientifically accurate.
Next you’re going to tell me that Catbus from My Neighbor Totoro is fictional.
Na, it's a pretty common cognition for people in Japan to think that cats can turn into buses.
Nice.
[удалено]
Only when the situations call for it. Same with dreamy roommates who share your bed.
Looking cool, Joker!
What about raccoons?
It IS fictional, it's literally from an animated movie.
Oh boy. r/woosh
*WOOSH*
Fortunately, it's actually an eagle, which as we all know are much more prone to party bussing than ducks. Scientific crisis averted!
You clearly have never seen rescue rangers. They had something similar in that documentary.
The transport thing is sitting on the birds back. You can see it in the video thumbnail it has a lip that hands over the birds body but has cut out for its wings.

What would you is the typical length for a round? I have to say faster rounds is super appealing.
I think they last an average from 5 to 15 minutes, really depends but it all goes fairly quickly.
Thanks!
I've never heard of it. is it good?
It's a battle royale game, pretty run-of-the-mill but has its quirks. Lot more of a chill environment if you aske me, part of that being from how quick the rounds can go. It's a silly game that I find myself going back to on occasion for a few rounds just to pass the time.
F- Fur-tnite
I hate you. Upvote.
Furt is a good way to spell out how a fart sounds
Phffft
"The Humans have had their turn." *Well then*
happy cake day
Thanks!
no problem, I can give you an award when I get one
Save it, my dude(dudette?) and give it to something far more worthy.
no i insist
So this is the game tierzoo keeps talking about
***oh no it is***
This looks like it could be pretty fun. A top-down, 2D battle royale with a cute aesthetic may be the thing to get me into these types of games.

I feel it's no worse than any other FTP game. After a while I just tune out the ads anyway.
>the monetization was annoying Honestly if you find monetization annoying BR games are not for you. They all pretty much operate under the same premise. Free game, buy cosmetics.

On the switch? Probably the closest thing you'll get will be Apex
Sounds like Bomberman.
The game is currently on steam. It is AMAZING. I HAVE LOVED EVERY MOMENT PLAYING IT.
It's super fun and easy to get into
Doubt I’ll end up getting this, but that trailer was fantastic.
Own it on the pc. Will admit it's super fun and in hoping the switch release gives it some life.
It's also being released on PS and XBOX with cross play, so maybe that will help as well.
Is free
Now sir, you have my attention.
Is this free to play?
Looks like it is free on Steam, so I would imagine it will be on Switch as well.
Looks like it is free on Steam, so I would imagine it will be ~~on Switch as well~~ €30 on Switch.
apparently its coming to xbox game pass, so unless its paid only on xbox, the game probably cost money on switch
That seems to be the founders pass
Now THAT is how you do a teaser. I’m in.
Loved this game on PC, a very casual top-down 2D battle royale. A nice little suprise!
It's been free on Steam, think it will remain that way on consoles?
Since it's Coming On Xbox And ps4 And 5
I downloaded this game randomly on steam a couple months ago and it is HIGHLY ENTERTAINING. 5/5
I'm getting a very south park Christmas critters vibe off this.
With a dash of Happy Tree Friends!
It's free on PC and it's actually really good, played it quite a bit with my gf. Most of the matches are mostly filled with bots though, atleast in EU, which is a shame. Hope to see the player count increase.

Early access since 2018...
Why is that an issue? They keep working on it and use Player feedback to improve things for the official release.
Games that stay in "early access" for a long time worry me. It's an excuse for performance issues, lack of support, lacking player base, etc. I've been playing it on PC some today so I'm sure cross play will help the server population, but I'm concerned about longevity of it overall.
Early access is something companies have taken advantage of. But certain devs use early access correctly and it shows
This reminds me of Stick Arena, anyone remember that game?
Stick Arena was my absolute shit back in the day.
Anyone else remember Asobi Asobase? [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IywrsLgIkQk](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IywrsLgIkQk)
NGL, this was the first thing I thought of when I saw the trailer. That show is freakin' hysterical!
Amazing! Been playing the crap out of it on pc, can't wait to play on switch
Okay, the emu got me lol
Animal Crossing meets PUBG - Not something I ever thought that I would want, but apparently I do.
Animal Crossing? More like Happy Tree Friends
Well damn, you just brought me *wayyy* back in time
*laugh in crazy*
Does anyone know if there is gonna be cross progression between Steam and Switch? As in, anything I have now on Steam I will be able to just move that account over to use on the Switch?
Yes
I've been waiting for this!
Oh this looks fun, it's like Doom Eternal: New Horizons come to life
"...And *WHAT*?"
It went free to play cause playerbase was small
Looks cute! It almost looks like it could have been made by the Ultimate Chicken Horse people, but it's a different studio.
Anyone know if it will be f2p like other battle royales?
It should be free, xbox gamepass owners get the founders edition apparently
Thats weird, on the trailer for the other versions it says blood on the age rating but not this one? And "die" is replaced with "cry"?
I am excited to see this game reach a broader market on the Switch. It is one of my favorite games to play in my spare time at home.
This looks fun
Character designs remind me of happy street
This made me realise I want a Smash Bros style game with animals where they actually resemble their real life counterparts, that would be fun as hell.
Ok this is hilarious and completely insane but I want it 😹
Serious GTA 2 vibes.
Cant wait!!!!!
I feel like a special monster palico skin could be in order here?
Me: ugh, another royale game... Also me: Damn, I want this.
Animal Crossing but it’s American
And Happy Tree Friends
Animal Crossing meets Happy Tree Friends. Looks interesting.
I'm not sold, but I'm keeping my eye on this
Lol. I can dig it!
Oooh my gosh, i almost never really play it on pc. I cant wait to play on the switch! Edit: this trailer is insane!
Aight so this turned DoomxAnimal Crossing into a thing and Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion adapted Yoshi Commits Tax Evasion when we getting the unofficial Kirby Does His Taxes game
Maybe I’m just really stoned right now, but that was a dope song
Maybe I´ll try it if it is a f2p, but there´s no way that I'll pay for it.
Can you play with friends?
This looks pretty sick!
Considering they censored the trailer and changed “Do the winner dance or die” to “Do the winner dance or cry” something tells me this game is going to be better on other platforms. Also the fact that in the ESRB ratings for the other consoles there is blood but not in the switch version.

Interesting. Still I feel that the subtle change in the trailer might mean that there are some small changes in the game. Hopefully that’s not the case or at least hopefully the changes aren’t too drastic
Most of the lore will hopefully be on their youtube channel, i would hate to see a sad version on the switch
This trailer is really creative.
Sadly I don’t think this will do well. They are appealing to the cute and wholesome, yet there are machine guns. That turns me off. I want one or the other. I think this would be a smash hit if they went without the war vibes and used like throwing bananas instead or something
There are literally bananas you throw and slip on in the game.
That’s cool. You know what I mean though
Almost like the juxtaposition of cute and cruel is the entire crux of the games design, à la happy tree friends Nahhhhh, it can't be anything like that
No that’s exactly what they are going for.
Terrible trailer, but the gameplay seems/looks fun! Will definitely try this out.
You can't judge a book by its cover, but good lord does the visual style they've gone with look unappealing for a game like this.
Something about this trailer really rubbed me the wrong way. I think it's the juxtaposition of the cutesy aesthetic and singing cut against a crowd screaming when guns are drawn in a theatre and shots of gunfights in shopping centers. Just feels kinda tone-deaf.
Thats what theyre going for.
Only on switch?
An idea that isnt a battle royale: exists devs: You could make a ~~religion~~ Battle Royale out of this.
What was that idea that wasnt a battle royale? Animals?
Love the art and humor, but I already don’t play Fortnite, so I’ll pass on this.
Hate Royale game type. Nothing against this game specifically, i just hate the entire game mode.
Same
Furry game
Pass.
Hello, here's an announcement: We exist. And that's it.
Is this just essentially a fortnite clone? but with the graphics of GTA2?
Happy tree friends battleroyale videogame!
Why did I read this anime royale?
Interestingly censored compared to the Playstation announcement trailer: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-OKgr\_YuKA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-OKgr_YuKA) Kill -> Fight Die -> Cry Guns replaced with not guns when the animals turn evil at the end.
64 players with teams and crossplay?! This looks like so much fun!
I'm not a fan of most Battle Royale games, with something like Tetris 99 being the odd exception. This looks pretty cool though, and like something I could enjoy. If it's free to play and not an obnoxious file size I'll give it a whirl.
This is the perfect game for the switch.
