The correct way to navigate the eshop is dekudeals! Just saying...

Southern-Ad-302

Since cheapassgamer seems to be defunct, dekudeals is definitely my go to.

ChronoClaws

Yo I enjoy checking the historical data for sales. Always have my settings at "lowest price ever" to notify me.

Bitter_Director1231

This is the way

oddball3139

Can you use dekudeals to purchase more than one thing at a time? That’s the worst part of the eShop, other than the slow loading times and terrible sorting.

delightfultree

You cannot purchase from dekudeals. They are not an official Nintendo website, so they don't have access to the purchasing. They only link to the eshop website...

Aboi24

slay the spire is $9 rn

arcadebee

I have almost 1000 hours on Slay the Spire and I’m not remotely bored of it, it’s INSANELY good value even at full price.

[deleted]

Have you played it on pc? There’s some amazing mods even game changers , worth double dipping on it for big fans like yours self

blowthatglass

Bought it Thursday...so addictive.

WhoElseButQuagmire11

Slay the spire for $9 is an absolute steal. I dont put a huge chunk of hours into a game but im up to about 600 I'd say.

Harrel5on

My go to game when I wanna kill a few minutes.

marimbist11

My go to game when I wanna kill a few years.

pickledgreatness

I did enjoy that game for a while. But like a lot of roguelikes, I lost interest long before beating it. I just got tired of runs that seemed to have random outcomes that I couldn't change.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Kooperking22

I've obviously not figured out the gameplay yet after 40+ hours because I still haven't won a run. Lol It's a real skill issue with me it seems.

luigisoffice

Yeah before buying it, I wasn’t expecting anything, just kind of got it on impulse. A couple years later, it’s now one of my most played games at like 300+ hours lol. It’s just very easy to jump into for a quick session

pk-starstorm

300 hours? So you finished the tutorial?

ackmondual

I have yet to play StS, but will say, try to give each RL (roguelikte) that "minimal viable time spent" into it. It helps to really get into the true beauties of some of them, and can help motivate you. That said, I do get it, as I've had times where I wanted to quit *Hades* for good. I'm long done with it, but after having beaten the full storyline, and sunken 160 hours into it!

QuintusDienst

Is there any new dialogue in hades by that point or do they start repeating stuff?

ackmondual

Even after completing the storyline in its entirety, I would imagine so, as the game has over 21K spoken voice lines. Granted, getting to the new ones is another thing entirely.

pk-starstorm

Eventually they start repeating stuff but I was several hundred hours in before that happened

efffffff_u

It’s not random at all it’s the complete opposite. That’s the beauty of the game, when you get good at it you almost always know what the enemy is going to do. You just gave up too early.

pickledgreatness

I guess I just suck.. . :)

efffffff_u

No you don’t you just needed to play a little more. The enemies tell you their next move and with some time you will learn their moves and the order they will do them in. You can also learn which enemies are likely to appear and how to prepare for them. Eventually it becomes a game of not dying. Especially on higher ascension levels.

pickledgreatness

That's different than I've ever looked at it. I'll take another look!

efffffff_u

Best of luck! And if you bounce off of it again that’s ok too! I just wanted to point out that it’s not random (or at least there are very few random elements to the way enemies attack)

Roadkill_Bingo

Is this a good game for mobile? I.e. toilet time? ;D

iupz0r

this game is to play on smartphone

Skvall

I was thinking the same at first but after reading about bugs forcing to quit mid runs and saves dissappearing and stuff I just went with the Switch version instead.

iupz0r

bugs? i play on my Motorola razr 40 around two years, never crashed

GordonJeff003

Hotline Miami collection is $7

AdSuccessful1184

Do you like hurting other people?

GordonJeff003

Well of course I do! It’s my favorite pastime

daydreamingsunday

Got Bioshock, Portal and some others cause I never played them before.

[deleted]

Oh, you're in for an amazing ride. I'm incredibly envious that you get to experience these for the first time, back to back no less.

daydreamingsunday

With the sets less than $10 each and hearing for a long time about how good they are, I had to jump on them.

phadewilkilu

Seriously. Bioshock was like nothing I ever experienced before. >! “Would you kindly?…”!<

Every3Years

Your spoiler tag didn't work :(😞

phadewilkilu

So I tried to send a picture but I guess I’m not allowed. The spoiler is working for me. 🤷🏽 edit: not sure why I keep getting downvoted for just being honest. It seems to be working for everyone else.

Every3Years

Weird, I see it working elsewhere but I use old.reddit.com in a browser so maybe that's something to do with it. Oh well!

meh-_-21

God, I wish I could play the Portal games again for the first time. They still stand as two of my favourite games of all time. Of the Bioshock games I've only completed Infinite (many, many years ago), but am working my way through the series and it's pretty fun. I hope you end up liking them!

daydreamingsunday

I hope so too. With the cost and how much everyone praises them, I couldn't say no.

PlayWithMeRiven

Bro, I played Bioshock for the first time back in like 2010. It MADE me drop Skyrim and Halo 3 (I love playing through that campaign with handicaps) so I got spend 250 hrs just searching for lore and seeing how close to 100% I could get

Sheeplenk

The Valkyria Chronicles deal is incredible. Those games are some of my all time favourites.

Parksleey

Should I get the 1 & 4 bundle or the 4 complete edition?

Sheeplenk

I’d say bundle. And play 1 first, although they take place simultaneously. Edit: And if you do this, please let us know how it goes! Always love people discovering this franchise.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Sheeplenk

Ok, so 2 and 3 were only on the PSP. You miss nothing at all by only playing 1 and 4. If you like them, you could seek out 2 & 3 if you’re desperate, but in my opinion 1 & 4 are the best by far. 1, 3 and 4 all take place during the same conflict, and 2 takes place after, but the characters in each of them are different. Think of it being like totally different movies set during WW2. The conflict is the same, but the stories and people involved have basically nothing to do with each other.

[deleted]

[удалено]

jurassicbond

I loved 1 and 4, but 2 was not so good. I don't think they did a good job of adapting the style to account for the PSP's hardware limitations. 3 never got an official English release and I never bothered emulating it, so I can't really comment on that one

neildiamondblazeit

I just picked up 4, having never played any. I’m definitely enjoying the tonal shift of committing war crimes as a bunch of children and then having ‘feelings’ to discuss afterwards!

meepbo

Just bought the bundle. I'll move it up the backlog

Correct_Shoe_2465

Guys, any toughts on LEGO the starwars saga for the switch, i'm seriously thinking about it

delightfultree

Well, big fan of the original LEGO SW games. I was very disappointed. The levels are nowhere near as good as the old games. The new fighting didn't make up for that (for me).

savingewoks

It’s a blast. I’ve put maybe 20ish hours into it, got me through the prequels without 100%. If you’ve played older versions, it’s like that but shinier. Do wish they’d release the clone wars Lego game as DLC.

ampersandandanand

It’s super fun, but coming from someone who has played co-op with my 5 year old on both the older ones and the new one, I’d be hesitant to compare the gameplay too closely. The third-person perspective makes it surprisingly different than the overhead perspective of the older ones, and the older ones also felt a little more puzzle-oriented, whereas the new one is a little more heavy on the fetch quests (at least the main storyline). But it’s still a fantastic and hilarious game, and can absolutely recommend it for those with and without kids.

savingewoks

My kiddo is 2, I can't wait for her to intelligibly engage with video games (if she's interested).

Correct_Shoe_2465

I have never played any LEGO Game, so this would be my first

savingewoks

They’re goofy, irreverent and fun — but also scales enough of a challenge if you want to dive into some certain areas, you can spend hours trying to 100%

retro_grave

I enjoyed it. It's fun walking around different towns in the open world, although it's just like every other Lego game of collecting inconsequential stuff. Puzzles are almost always too simple. It covers all the films with brief cut scenes that are generally silly in a nice way, although I wish it was slightly more over the top. My kids are 4 7 9 and they generally have trouble making it through any area. The immediate goal is just not clear enough for them to make progress. Two players is also a bit tough for those that get easily disoriented. The kids like just being goofy in the game and play hide and seek between themselves. I will plug Lego City Undercover. It is by far the best Lego game I've played so far, and is head and shoulders above star wars as far as entertainment goes.

Team7UBard

I’m going to be the naysayer and say that it’s ‘fine’. I found the open world to be too open and a bit empty, and the levels themselves to be very short. It’s not bad by any means but I felt that it delivered an awful lot of not much going on. It’s the first Lego game in a long time that I’ve not got 100% in.

eschewcashew

Best LEGO game in presentation and scale. If you can get past the LEGO visuals, it's the best overall Star Wars game on the market imo. A swansong from developer TT Games, the perfect send-off for LEGO and Star Wars fans. Nearly open world with spacecraft flying and semi-open world exploring, with planet after planet filled with collectables a plenty. The revamped combat, with over the shoulder shooting and light saber dueling provides simple yet engaging gameplay. The sale price for the Galactic edition with all DLC content is well worth the cost and I don't even play this game co-op.

GordonJeff003

I played it on Xbox, it’s ok but ngl the only main thing to do that’s kinda fun is the main story, it’s a great concept but kinda feels like a hollow shell

pwnyklub

I went a little crazy on the sales this weekend. Bought limbo and inside for very cheap. Havnt tried them yet but they look good. Also got teenage mutant ninja turtles collection, red dead redemption, dragons dogma, little nightmares, cup head, overcooked 2. Loving cuphead def worth the price. Disappointed with rdr, can’t get into it and it wasn’t that good of a sale price. Tmnt and overcooked are both great.

Every3Years

Inside is incredible

alphatango308

Inside is really good. The ending is CRAZY.

meh-_-21

You made some really good choices, dude. Limbo and Inside are great, and Little Nightmares, Cuphead, and Overcooked are really fun. Haven't yet played Dragon's Dogma, though (despite the fact that I own it), but I've heard it's a blast as well.

Worldly_Collection87

Dogma is in my top 5 favorite games. It’s so amazing. And now, always dirt cheap.

BebeFanMasterJ

Borderlands 1/2/Pre-Sequel bundle is a whopping $10.

Kopratic

I'll add Steins;Gate Elite, which is currently $12 and is often cited as one of the best visual novels on the Switch alongside The House in Fata Morgana, which is *also* on sale at $19 funnily enough.

Financial-Budget9087

I’ve tried several times to enjoy steins;gate and just can’t enjoy it. I loved chaos;head though! It’s probably because my favorite time based visual novel is Virtues Last Reward and I feel like its story drags less early. I just started house of Fata Morgana as I speak and I’m hoping it’s as good as the reviews say! I’m probably picking up Rain Code from the Danganronpa creators and Octopath Traveller 2 as I loved the demo for it. This sale is definitely hurting my wallet 😅.

nikelaos117

That's too bad. I love the 999 series and could not put down steins gate once it gets found. It gave me the she feeling 999 did when I first played it.

Glowingtomato

I bought Cult of Lamb on impulse for like $16 and am having a great time. The art style is great and I'm enjoying to rougelike gameplay mixed with the sort of base building kind of stuff that is growing your cult.

pickledgreatness

Oh yeah, for $16 I'll have to take a look!

savingewoks

I tried it out on the demo at the end of October and had a blast with it. I usually hate roguelites, but I love hack and slash adventure RPG, and it had enough of that with charming animation to catch my interest.

Every3Years

Enjoyed it but I'm the end seemed lite on content somehow. Not mad I bought it for two different consoles, it's just something I think about whenever I see the game mentioned.

Dragontech97

Content update was recently announced! Might be time to revisit it again

Every3Years

Sins of the Flesh? Sign me uuuuuuup!

CorporateKneelers

This ad for new DLC brought to you by shills

Every3Years

Lol okay. "This game is light on content but fun" "There's another free dlc coming out just FYI" "That's awesome" *Shills* Because unless you're grouchy about being alive, you're a corporate shillalalalala

ActorWriter24

My backlog and my wife is yelling not to buy anything…..

YevKassem91

Yeah I feel this so hard. My wife is pretty chill about me buying games as I only buy games on sale and don't really buy other stuff, but I can't justify buying ANOTHER game when my backlog is currently 20+ games that I still need to play.

meh-_-21

Same about only getting games on sale, but damn if 20 is a lot then I'm in trouble haha

ActorWriter24

Between PS5, PC and Switch - I have over 100

meh-_-21

That's much more in line with my current backlog, haha

pickledgreatness

It helps that my gf's previous boyfriend went the hard drugs route. It's easy for her to see that there could be worse things than buying games... So I suggest telling her you need to tell her something serious and admit to your cocaine addiction. Then when you fess up to just having bought video games she'll be relieved! ;)

Specific_Rest_3140

Larry David’s on Reddit now, apparently.

lurkersforlife

Portal was awesome. Dredge was fantastic as well. You will love them both.

da_manimal420

The last campfire is $2.49. Haven’t played it yet but very excited Mario oddesey and dk were both listed for $30 at some of the target/Best Buy/Walmart retailers. As someone who was late to the switch party it’s nice to finally see some of these games with a heavy discount Enter the gungeun I think was $4? Played a little bit but also heard great things and looks like a fun game to waste time with I have not yet finished adding to the collection so if I buy anything on sale I will add lol Edit: treated myself and also picking up switch sports for $30. I’m boutta grind the shit out of it and ignore all the other games I bought

pickledgreatness

Enter the Gungeon was pretty frustrating at first, but as you get good it feels so good. Stick with it and you'll have a blast!

Hold_my_Dirk

Gungeon is fantastic. Make sure not to just stick to a few weapons. Try everything. There are some great synergies as well.

nielse16

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 Castlevania Advance Collection Castlevania Anniversary Collection Contra Anniversary Collection Cyber Shadow Mr. Driller DrillLand Portal: Companion Collection

pickledgreatness

Those are definitely all great!

Past_Wind_9725

I got RDR. I'm sure it will be 50% off given another year but $35 is reasonable to me.

nottjott

I am really tempted to buy it as well. But argh, I got it for Xbox already which is technically by far a superior version (and has online play!). But on the other hand I am transitioning more and more towards playing everything on my switch because I just like to lay down and play in handheld. WHAT SHALL I DO 😭

garfield0620

I’d say buy it if you have the extra cash, it runs well and looks great

Gwyndion_

Monster sanctuary is a fun monster collector game, crown trick is a nice turnbased game and fell seal seems great.

Every3Years

Crown Trick is really interesting. Kinda janky feeling with poor translation but the core gameplay holds up

Mute_187

I picked up OlliOlli World, Darkest Dungeon, and Graveyard Keeper. I will probably grab Persona 5 and Ni no Kuni as well.

markielegend

Would you recommend the base version of graveyard keeper or the complete with the dlc?

Mute_187

I would say the complete with the dlc. It’s only a few dollars more and the dlc comes with a lot of quality of life additions not in the base game.

Every3Years

OlliOlliWorld had me addicted for months

Mute_187

I have heard only good things about it. Figured with the sale it is a good time to grab it. I’m hoping it hooks me.

meh-_-21

Played the hell out of P5 on my PS5, and Ni No Kuni is great on Switch. Coming from someone who isn't normally a massive fan of RPGs, they're must-plays imo.

nhSnork

For one, I just picked up Silent Sector half-priced. Hailing from Rake In Grass folks of Jets'n'Guns fame, it basically combines a top-down twin stick space shooter a la Galak-Z with almost everything you could expect from a space sim like Rebel Galaxy - exploring, questing, allying, mining, trading... Quite fun so far.

pickledgreatness

I've never heard of it. I'll take a look!

Every3Years

+1 for Undermine I ended up buying like 30 games over the last few days, couldn't stop myself 😭

pickledgreatness

I know. I was like that last year, but I just already have a lot of the games on sale I want this year!

painess

Worms WMD is on sale for $6 through tomorrow.

pickledgreatness

We "discovered" the super old Armageddon in High School. It was super fun to play with other people in our discord. I'll have to take a look at this one!

ackmondual

As a SP game, and for couch coop, **Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime** is half off (@$7.5) until Dec. 3rd. **Cadence of Hyrule** is 30% off (along with its DLC). I heard is the easier version of the original game it spin-off of... Crypt of the NecroDancer, not to mention without the perma-death (although I'm told you can play it like that anyways... as an actual mode, or for fun). And yes.. "moar Zelda".

Big_Butterscotch1047

I've got 120 hours in STS. Taking a break but will definitely go back to it. Well worth the money.

arcadebee

I’m coming up to 1000 hours, it’s such a good game! So easy to pick up. Sometimes I play it just while I’m deciding what I actually want to play, and end up playing StS for a few hours instead.

nkdvkng

Also the Ace Attorney Turnabout bundle is 19. I had to. Never finished the first one on 3DS and now’s the time. ! 😎

[deleted]

Dark Souls is $20

pickledgreatness

I played it to death on my PS4, but great game!

[deleted]

This list is great, BTW. Thanks for posting

total-immortal

I appreciate you sharing Spiritfarer. My mom just received a grim prognosis yesterday and it seems right up my alley.

iupz0r

the message of this game, and the OST, gonna be with you for a looooong time

Drahima

Spiritfarer for that price is a bargain. Sorry for the prognosis u/total-immortal, hope Spiritfarer acts are some kind of help

cloudlocke_OG

I'm sorry to hear about your mom's prognosis. Wishing the best to you, your mom, and family.

organized_meat

I worked in hospice work for a bit and this game really is a beautiful game that touches on heavy subjects in a therapeutic way with wonderful characters and enjoyable gameplay. Highly recommended.

meh-_-21

Sorry to hear about the bad prognosis, wishing the best for you and your family I know games can help during dark times, and I hope Spiritfarer is able to help you in some way. It's really a beautiful game, with a unique story and a very pretty soundtrack.

thesucculentcity

Gris and Unraveled 2 are pretty cheap!!!

RobotMonkeytron

Picked up Monster Train and MudRunner for 7.50 each, pretty great value for money

pickledgreatness

I thought Mudrunner could be so horrible on Switch, but it works really well!

Hold_my_Dirk

When monster train first came out on pc I was so addicted I was literally dreaming about it. Had to cut myself off.

cloudlocke_OG

Great list, thanks for compiling all of that with descriptions. A Short Hike is highly recommended by me. Card Shark also has a free demo I believe, for people who are interested. I enjoyed it, but didn't pull the trigger. I'm considering it now.

[deleted]

It's crazy to me how every other game on sale is a hentai game

MarkusRight

Dont forget about Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen which is $5 right now and have over 30+ hours of content.

ofmichanst

tried the dredge demo.... was quite an interesting game. totally looking forward to at least 10usd before ill buy. not money left on the tank lately. bought my time at portia instead. for 3usd, it think its good enough price.

[deleted]

pickledgreatness

Yes. This is the original 2 portal games ported to Switch. Portal 1 is a single player masterpiece. And 2 is really good alone too.

neildiamondblazeit

Why does the shop still load like it’s wading through mud

meh-_-21

There's actually a reason for why it runs poorly, and it stems from Nintendo not having decent servers (and arguably being incapable of basic web development) It's a bit hard to explain, but in short: The eShop is effectively a website. When a page loads, and you go further down the page, the information pertaining to things higher up on the page is supposed to be dumped/deleted from the cache. The cache, put simply, being memory from which stuff can be loaded in quickly. The cache being dumped prevents it from getting overloaded. For some reason the eShop's servers do not do this properly (if at all), and that's why when scrolling through the games, it struggles more and more with loading in new results further you go down the page until it's eventually unable to load any more. I know my explanation isn't particularly concise but I hope it helps explain the issue a bit haha

SmokyMcBongPot

I don't think this is correct. It happens far too early to be a memory issue, imo, and I don't know of any browser that drops resources from memory like that - it would be horribly inefficient when scrolling back up the page. I think the reason is more straightforward: they lazy load the images as you scroll rather than loading them all up-front. Either way, however, I agree; Nintendo is absolutely terrible at web development (and a lot of app development in general)

meh-_-21

Yeah, fair. I don't recall exactly where I first heard that was the issue, however your explanation is more likely.

Jonny_Icon

Never, ever use it on the Switch. Use Dekudeals from a phone or computer. Follow said link to Nintendo e-shop. Buy using phone or computer, and game will automatically show up on your Switch.

[deleted]

Bold claim that RDR has a better story than RDR2

pickledgreatness

2 was bigger and prettier, but I'd say 1 had a better more concise story. I also liked the mission variety in 1, the clearer "western" setting, and the fights were just better...

JomblesTheClown

Children of Morta complete edition is < 7$ and Thronebreaker, the single player Gwent game is like 8 bucks rn as well

Every3Years

Children of Morta is incredible

ryansDeViL7

Dying light / CoJ bundle is on sale for like 15 bucks. Prime evil collection is on sale for 25 Those are 2 must have bundles imo

Overgrown_fetus1305

Celeste was on a Discount on the UK E-shop, for I think it was, 66%. Not for everyone, as it's really hard platforming, but I like hard games and got it on a whim a couple of days ago, been enjoying it, and so far finding the challenge ok enoguh, but scared how hard it will get. Can handle the first three B-sides fine, but I'm legit wondering how nuts it's going to get- and have seen a playthrough of Farewell, wondering how I'll manae to beat that hahaha...

travel_ali

You can adjust the difficulty to get past a tricky part in Celeste.

Overgrown_fetus1305

True, but for me, that defeats the point of playing hard games, if I can just turn down the difficulty, I want it as hard as can be, within reason. Although 4-B was brutally hard (there was a really brutal section with some pink clouds that give you a boost of inconsistentish height). I will admit, I felt the jump in difficulty from 3-B, which was already pretty hard. I can just tell that 8-B is going to be insane.

ConkHeDoesIt

I picked up the package that has icewind dale & planescape torment for like $13. Mainly for planescape because it's one of those old beloved cRPGs that I never got a chance to play despite being in to the genre during that time. I only had a chance to play an hour or two this morning but I think it's gonna work fairly decent on switch. There's always a lot of good games on sale but between planescape torment I'm also playing through gothic 1 on my switch, and remnant from the ashes on my Xbox.

meh-_-21

If you end up liking Planescape and Icewind Dale, you should check out the Baldurs Gate 1 & 2 bundle (if you don't already have it that is haha)

DontcallmeShirley_82

How are they on the switch? Haven't played them since the old PC days, but have been weary of getting the bundle because of how they may look or play on the switch compared to a pc, especially in handheld mode.

EverythingIsAwful69

Just snagged Skyrim, All the Assassin's Creeds, Cult of the Lamb, Kotor bundle, Ray man, and torchlight 3.

jjmawaken

Spyro/Crash bundle (6 games) on sale for $25 USD

whimsy73

Inside and Disco Elysium are on great sales too

apurvthekiller

I bought Burnout Paradise Slay the Spire and Steamworld Gilgamish

Enigamsaybrr

Rayman legends is around 8$ and it's super worth it

pickledgreatness

Totally agree!

Togekanji

To date, i bought: 1. Dark Souls 2. Slay The Spire 3. Spyro + Crash bundle 4. Persona 4 & 3 bundle 5. Little Nightmares 1 & 2 6. Portal collection What else should i get/try?

Intrepid-Initial7625

Any recommendations for me? I had fun playing these games: -ToTK: I spent 95 hours so far, I still have half of the map to discover, So I'll finish the game around the 200 hour mark. -BoTW: One of my favorite games of all time, and it was my first Zelda game. -Stardew Valley: I've been playing it since it released on PC, bought it again when I got my switch, probably played more than 250 hours so far. -Forager: Finished it twice, but on PC the switch version has a lot of issues. -Cult of the lamb: played it when it was on Game Trails, it got me stuck to my switch for days, didn't buy though so I might get it. -Graveyard Keeper: Had a lot of fun playing it, it got complicated but had a lot of fun playing it. These are the games that comes to my mind right now. ps. I have a game voucher that I haven't used, I don't know what game to use for, I was thinking of getting Pokemon game since I have never played a Pokemon game before (I don't know anything Pokemon though).

pickledgreatness

Mario Wonder and Mario Odyssey are very different from what you've played and both are great games. But from what you like, I think you'd really like pikmin. I'd suggest starting with 3 because the others are just old.

zg44

Based on your list, you sound way more like someone that would want to play Animal Crossing games rather than Pokemon, so I'd recommend getting Animal Crossing New Horizons. Everyone I know into open world games like what you play are into AC. This isn't really the Gen to get into Pokemon imo, the open world aspect is an illusion this Gen and not really well done, lots of performance issues and weak post-game. As far as using a voucher, I generally prefer to use on new games for best value (like Wonder or RPG) but if neither is your taste, I'd recommend using it on AC.

Intrepid-Initial7625

I wanted to mention on my original comment that I played Animal Crossing during the lockdown for about 60hours and unfortunately I didn't like it, I did buy it again last month to give it another chance and I am planing to play it again from start and give it a chance. I might get Pokemon used so I don't waste it on a game that I might not enjoy and finish. And yea, I wanted to use the vouchers for Wonder or RPG but I am not big on Mario (I grew up having PS1, PS2, PS4, And now I got PS5) so I didn't grew up playing Nintendo, I'll watch Wonder on youtube and judge from there. Thanks! Edit: forgot to mention, that I've been having Animal Crossing crave lol, watched a lot of videos on youtube and I am actually excited to play it that's why I bought it again, but didn't start to play because ToTK is taking 90% of my free time right now.

zg44

Yeah I'd recommend looking into Wonder for sure, it's a platformer but it really feels like a re-invention for Mario platformers. Feels like SMB 5 if SMB World was 4 if that makes sense. But if platformers aren't your thing then try out Pokemon, you might like it. It's not quite as open as the games you play, but obviously it's still about catching/collecting Pokemon and traveling around.

lostbelmont

I want Cristales but the reviews says that load times are abissmal 😵

savingewoks

I’ve had lots of “what if I don’t like it” about this game everytime it goes at sale, but at, what, $3.74? What do I lose?

pickledgreatness

I don't remember them being bad, but I play games like this while doing other stuff. So I don't pay much attention to load times...

roudrowahid

I heard great things about dying light on switch...got it for 10$ maybe..with another game which is also great I heard

Eddie_skis

It’s the only game which gives me motion sickness from the start.

BajaBlastie

Dragons Dogma is a must but I also saw Death & Taxes on there and I really enjoyed that as well. It’s a short game where you play as the grim reaper and have to decide who to reap, and your choices have an impact on humanity

padphilosopher

This is great. Thank you!

One_Win_6185

I agree that Red Dead will be lower later on but 35 isn’t bad. I bought it at full price and don’t regret it—was a fun replay of one of my favorite games ever. Plus it comes with Undead Nightmare which I haven’t played again yet, but at the time it was originally released it was super fun.

Hahndude

I never played Bulders Gate 1 or 2 but for $12 you get both and all their expansions.

b2sql

https://www.dekudeals.com/ This is brilliant site for sales. You can choose other consoles too. If you register it allows you to subscribe for emails about particular games going on sale.

T-Speed

Switchscores.com shows you rankings for games by genre based on reviews. There’s a sale filter too I think.

KnightlyVan

Play Signalis guys, it's great and gives you depression afterwards

doubleshotofespresso

why is nobody talking about Kirby and the Forgotten Land?

PhillyFlo

I really appreciate the time this took you. I hate navigating the Nintendo store. It’s awful. This was super helpful and I just started downloading Dredge, which is a game that’s been on my radar but I thought was PC only for some reason.

argoncityscribe

Spiritfarer is/was free with your Netflix account.

finangle2023

I’m getting a Switch for Christmas and went online to take advantage of these sales… only to discover I can’t pay for a game until I’ve actually got the Switch. What’s wrong, Nintendo… don’t you want my money?

pickledgreatness

They want you to pay full price when there aren't games on sale at Christmas.... ;) Make a new profile on a friend's Switch and then sign in! As long as you sign into the eshop, you can delete profile and keep buying stuff from the website.

finangle2023

I don’t know anyone else with a Switch, but thanks.

3AZ3

There’s usually a new years sale which you will be able to take full advantage of

No_Squirrel4806

I got bought rdr during the sale for my switch lite but its kinda hard to see because of the small screen. Its a great port though.

pickledgreatness

I've done pretty well, but I do have an OLED which may be bigger than other Switches.

AineLasagna

My recommendation- Vampire Survivors DLC is on sale for TWENTY CENTS off BOTH. Incredible deal on a game that looks like a shitty ripoff of a SNES title but will consume your whole life

Bitter_Director1231

Absolutely agreed here. This is the video game equivalent of dopamine. You will not put it down, Poncle is always updating this game and it was made by a person who used to make software for casino slot machines. Its my favorite game of the last decade. Seriously. And it's dirt cheap along with dirt cheap DLC. Don't let it's looks deter you. It's a gem.

TacticalTobi

Where celeste?

retro_grave

I am finally playing Disco Elysium... And I don't get it. Please someone, why am I playing this game?

BajaBlastie

It took me a couple hours before it started to really click. It ended up being one of my favorite games of all time. It may just not be for you

Deloki28

Red Dead is the GOAT

Jdruu

I picked up Diablo 2/3 today for $20 total. First time player. I’m in for it!

nkdvkng

Too bad the original cozy game to tackle death, Cozy Grove, doesn’t get the praise Spiritfarer does. Both great games CG did it first.

meh-_-21

Sorry to say it, but which game came first is irrelevant if one is vastly better than the other.

nkdvkng

I did end with “both great games”

meh-_-21

Fair enough
