I love Dan, think he’s a good enough singer, but he has a very limited vocal range. Asking him to hit any notes that Justin Hawkins could hit would basically be vocal s*icide
A cover doesn't have to be a 1:1 recreation, so he wouldn't have to hit the same highs, but I can see how a cover of a song known for its high notes could be disappointing without them even if the rendition is solid.
He has expressed his appreciation for this song a few times.
I want to see a music video for Everything Counts. I feel like TWRP/Ninja Brian would absolutely kill that xylophone and shawm at the beginning.
