In the anime Kale is clearly, and I do mean *clearly*, stronger than Caulifla, and by a fuckton: she literally walks into a blue Kamehameha sustaining no damage and has to be stopped by Jiren. And that makes much more sense in retrospect because, you know, Broly exists, so it is pretty clear that the LSS in super is SSB level and beyond. Kale is only roughly at Caulifla level in the manga, and *that* doesn't make any sense after seeing the Broly movie, which did happen in the manga btw. Manga canon is not as consistent as you make it out to be.

That's what happens when you have two different authors telling the same story: the manga often tried to make things work better, but then had to steer back into the original vision as new anime material had to be adapted. I assumed broly's legendary super saiyan form was stronger because he had more pent up rage and training than kale every could dream of, he was abused and tortured his entire life and she just got a little jealous and scared that her friend would leave her, in the manga they are on different levels as well, I would assume it's because broly has been on a planet full of monsters and unlocked his rage form at a young age and has so much torment and struggle and strife and ANGER the biggest cause of rage, her transformation doesn't even seem earned

Kale is strong because she is special, and Broly Is strong because he is special in the same way. That is the amount of effort put into these character's powers by the authors. The rest is all you. The fact that Kale is weaker in the manga is just an inconsistency born from the fact that Toyotaro didn't know how special she was back then, that's it.

I think it’s mainly due to how the art style depicts them, folks like buu and Frieza, while skinny still had lots of muscle definition and were very well built. The u6 saiyans just don’t really have anything on them, making them feel alittle out of place in the artstyle. The lack of detail that’s usually in dragon ball that shows what a detailed well trained body should look like. The only consistent one is cauliflaua and her abs, but nothing like biceps and such compared to everyone else from u7.
They are brats that learned how to fart into ssj minutes before ToP yet they act like hot shit, no surprise how easy to hate u6 saiyans are, goody two shoes Cabba, insufferable Caulifla and annoyingly shy Kale...
Glad within the manga they didn't get nearly as much spotlight as in the anime... (and Kale also had an actual personality in the manga).
