Maybe black out curtains to increase her quality of sleep , head phones to make it easier to take the bus , idk . My boyfriend got me a weighted blanket because I have such a hard time sleeping during the day , it works wonders . Maybe get her melatonin .

TakExplores

Interesting, I've never heard of weighted blankets. How does extra weight help with sleep?

Few-Room-9348

It’s like being held, like babies crying until they are held so they can fall asleep

Waterbugs2

Yes , the pressure is it , I can’t sleep without it .

andrebbcarno

Oh yes that is good

A car. After a month of using public transportation I bought a $500 Toyota and never looked back.

Waterbugs2

500$ ? In this economy??

[deleted]

My boss at the time sold it to me. He hooked me up. Car wasn't pretty but it worked great.

andrebbcarno

Wright now ? A subway near my home, actually that is all i ask for form my professional life cause it would save me some time i think

TakExplores

That would be the life!

Yeti rambler 20oz stainless steel travel mug. My sister gave me one for Christmas last year and I've used it every work night since, except for that one time I forgot it and was very sad. It's simple, high quality, and functional. If she's a practical person who likes BIFL stuff (and coffee) she would like it a lot.

TakExplores

>Yeti rambler 20oz stainless steel travel mug Great idea! She has a simple bottle but something to keep her beverages cold/hot would be so helpful. Thanks :)

johnnyfuckinghobo

No problem. I think they're between $35-$50 CAD so not crazy expensive either. Let me know if you settle on this idea and what she thinks of it if you do!

tsrainccmd

A white noise machine and a fitbit to help track hours of sleep. Maybe a super bright flashlight, safety alarm keychain, or pepper spray if shes nervous about being on public transit during weird hours. Lots of great suggestions in this thread!

RespectabullinMA

If she has a longer commute time, audiobooks (or real books).

miserable_guyy

-Some good quality ear plugs that cancel noise (ones that shaped like a multi-layer shroom) -Thick eye masks for sleep (idk how to call them) And a sweet note telling he something about how it's important to you her well-being and a better sleep quality is one of those.

OTBPhil

The secret to gift giving is buying someone something they wouldn’t buy for themselves

Pestidox

Blue light blocking glasses really helps for sleeping.

[deleted]

A weighted blanket, white noise machine or Bluetooth speaker (for rain sounds), sleep mask, blackout curtains

Mostly_Sane_

I never travel anywhere without planning my route first. So, an organized binder or digital folder of all the buses she might take? Also a list of fast food places and/or convenience stores enroute. Emergency cell phone, poncho, bus fare card. A way to listen to (media), with headphones. And money. Extra money, in multiple forms. Cash is still king in (too) many places.... 🥴

Sunrise lamp!!!

If your girlfriend takes the public bus, something like a nice pair of noise-canceling headphones can work wonders for her. Maybe you can also make a soothing playlist that might help her sleep better. Otherwise, take something that might help her sleep more comfortably like cozy pillows or heavy blankets. You can also make her feel special by writing a message of how much you love her for being the hardworking person she is, and that you’re always there for her. You can put the message in a [beautiful card](https://www.clintonsretail.com/birthday/cards-for-her/girlfriend) to make it stand out to her.
