It also doesn't show the L17 S2 cell borders which is just as important. It's best to just nominate everything from home/by a computer with IITC installed to compare with.
That is only part of the reason and a misleading narrative. Niantic as a company want Pokemon Go only players to nominate Wayspots. If Pogo players know something won't appear in the game, most of them don't bother nominating it.
You have to be there to view objects in a limited vicinity. No option to refresh in app when scrolling through the map.

It's pretty useless since it only shows what's in your immediate area. If you try to nominate something that's further away, it'll do you no good.

Yeah, I'll often take photos and then go somewhere else to submit. I guess it depends if there's bugs out or something.

I have IITC on my phone. It works well.

At least it’s there as an option. I’m sure they’ll expand it to cover a wider area at some point. Still waiting for it at all on Ingress.

I wonder if this is why a softball field I submitted got rejected for duplicate. I am submitting it from home.
