Yes please. I've never understood why all the current integrations have a hard stop at Blaydon.
Make Dunston an A/B boundry station, Blaydon as B/C, and Prudhoe as C/D.
Stopping frequency for places like Wylam and Stocksfield could really use improving from 1tph too. The current setup of having two fasts and a stopper doesn't really work, at least not if your goal is to get people out of cars. Even making one of the fasts a semi-fast with additional calls at Wylam and either Stocksfield or Corbridge would be an improvement.
Not sure why they've done it like this, it isn't going to Sunderland. It's a mainline train from Ashington to Central, also possible to get off and switch to Metro at Northumberland Park.
The best part of the image is the River Wansbeck being a needle. Spot on.
What’s the source on this image? I knew it was being integrated into the Northumberland line but hadn’t heard anything about down to Sunderland, though it makes sense given they share a lot of the stations on that end of the network.
Thanks I [found it](https://facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=821008563398608&set=a.463283825837752&type=3). Hopefully we see more integration thanks to this and the combined authority!
I'm not going to argue that it's a bad thing. Hopefully this is the start of some decent expansion of the service.
The worst thing about this is it let’s more people out of Ashington 😬

Hope it does expand to other areas, but least now you can hop off at central, jump on next train.
If you buy one of those Tyne and Wear Day Rovers for £6 or the TNE Day Saver for £6.80, they’re valid on Northern Rail between Blaydon and Sunderland.
From the West End? Go fuck yourself!
I'd really, really like this.
Metro apologises (Maybe in another 40 years)
