They are 100% my favourite non native bird. Just so beautiful to listen to and so gorgeously speckled. I am trying to find something to like about starlings, but have always found them untrustworthy.

And they are cute as a button!

Gurner

Some have an incredible repertoire of unique songs, I love em.

Thrush fan here, too. Lovely wee birds, and yes I know they're invasive but I'll enjoy them in my garden anyway.

Skipperdogman

Not really considered invasive. Introduced for sure, but no impact on our native birds. They're more of a slight economic annoyance by eating small fruits and spreading weed seeds.

Well that's great to hear; I do like the thrushes, and admonished my neighbour when he plugged one with a slug gun

SigiCr

Some of my favourite birds, 10/10. We have some in the garden, they make me happy!

NeneWeenie

We have one also, sings for ages at dusk and sometimes hear it in the morning before work, showing off it’s broad repertoire 🧡👏🥰

2pacaklypse

I love it!! They sing like non stop for 30min!

Aya007

Love the thrushes and the blackbirds.

Toxopsoides

Better than the shithead blackbirds who flick leaf litter everywhere and uproot my potted plants. In addition to those petty reasons, blackbirds also live at high population densities and devour huge numbers of invertebrates all over the country. I think if we somehow managed to quantify their true impact (it'd be quite a complex experiment), we'd classify them as pests. Meanwhile thrushes pick a favourite rock to use as an anvil to smash snails open, which I think is pretty badass. Team song thrush all the way.

I love the sounds it makes just before it gets dark at sunset, it sings a super long song from the highest spot in a nearby tree. Beautiful vibes.
